What would you tell yourself ten years ago to make you a better person today?

Probably to just be myself and not mold myself into what I thought other people wanted me to be. I didn’t learn the whole freedom of not caring what others think until a few years ago when I attended a Tony Robbins seminar. It makes a world’s difference. Now I’m just my crazy, goofy, wild (not that kind of wild!) self 24/7 without holding back!

It was probably this Instagram post! I said it to, well, the world!

Do you miss competitive dancing or are you happier acting?

I do miss it but right now, I’m very focused on acting!

who is the last person you kissed?

The last person I kissed was @howlinwithhoechlin on the set of our new movie. Mr. and Mrs. Weider.

Who was your favorite partner on the show?

I loved them all, but they always say you never forget your first so I have to go with Apollo!

An interview with Julianne Hough by Charlie Carver.

What are your hobbies or interests?

Dancing, singing, and acting, of course. I have my own production company now and produce beauty pageants as well as the ABC Holiday Special, along with hosting them. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son and my girls Lexi and Harley, going to hockey games (Go Kings Go!), traveling, cooking, working out, and anything outdoors, really!

Who was your best friend when you were growing up? Are they still your friend? If not, why aren’t they now? Who’s your best friend now?

My best friend growing up were my siblings, especially Derek. We moved to London together for a few years to pursue our dreams of performing. Of course D Man is still my best friend! He actually lives with me currently, as he waits for his house to get finished up! My best friend now is also Lea. We met years ago and we’ve been best friends since. She’s a sister to me and I honestly can’t imagine my life without her.

How is your relationship with your brother and has anything changed between you guys for the last 5 years ?

Oh, hey, I was just talking about him! My relationship with my brother is great! Like I said, he’s my best friend. We’re basically inseparable since we work together, live together, and have the same friends! Nothing’s changed in our relationship since we were kids!

If you weren’t Dancing what would you be up to right now?

I’d still be singing, acting, and producing! Outside of the entertainment industry? I’d be a counselor for young girls advocating kindness, for sure.

What goal do you most want to accomplish in the next six months?

Hmm, good question. In the next six months, I’d like to just continue doing what I love, especially acting. I took some time off to do DWTS and my tour, but now, I’m getting back into the whole acting thing. Luckily, I just wrapped a movie called Bigger and I landed a pilot! Fingers crossed! Outside of work, I’d just like to travel more with my family and friends. Maybe check some places off my bucket list!

If you could say one thing to your younger self what would it be ?

Be true to yourself and don’t hold back just because you’re afraid what others may think.

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done for your job ?

Move away from my family! I mean, it was for my dance and entertainment education, but I knew dancing and performing was what I wanted to do with my life, so moving away from our family with Derek for a few years was a huge step and pretty crazy for the young ages we were!

Who is your role model, and why?

My mama! She’s so full of light and love, she’s amazing. She inspires me everyday to be true to myself and to live life to the fullest. She’s a ball of energy, even after 5 kids and, like, 30 some grandkids!

If you could have any celebrity on Dancing With The Stars, who would it be ? and who would you pair them with ?

Ronda Rousey! I think it’d be fun to see her take a shot at it and be paired with my brother or Mark! They’re both huge UFC fans and they’re friends with her, so they’d love it!

How would you convince people to follow their dreams ?

I’m a big advocate of being your true self! So, I say, whatever makes you happy, go for it! Don’t shy away from it or hesitate. We only have one life to live and we should live it in the fullest way, as best as we can. Hard work, dedication, and remaining true to yourself will get you far.

Okay so, I’m sitting on set (it’s my last scene) and while I wait I’m binge watching a show someone got me hooked on. It’s called MasterChef. I keep seeing all this delicious food that I want to try and make. All I have is marshmallows though. What’s your favorite dish?

I love trying anything new that’s healthy! Or putting a healthy twist on something that’s god a bad rep for being junk food! Even though Luca is a healthy eater and loves his healthy foods, he does love tacos and pizza! So if I can make those healthy, we’re both happy! How about you?
