When's our next class?
That's it, class is over? So soon?
I am happy when I hear such phrases from students at the end of the lesson. It means they want to learn more. And it's great when they say it with eager eyes. But there are students who ask every five minutes when the lesson will end. It feels like they're in a hurry to get somewhere, like to work. And no matter how many interesting, fun, and cool things I come up with, these kids are not impressed. Sometimes they might say, “I don't want to!” 🤷‍♀
So I wondered: the subject is the same, the classes are interesting and the same, but the children's motivation and desire to learn are different.
Parents of students often ask: interest me, interest my child.... As it turned out in my experience, the desire shines and lives inside the child himself. And I would love to make a child want, but I am still learning how to do it. I can share my love for this story. And I can only hope that the light inside the child shines, “I want to learn English!
”🙂
Motivation is laid down from childhood, and of course, it all starts with the family. How parents show, tell and teach encouragement. It is important to teach a child to work hard and dream. But it is also possible that a child comes to school with a desire to learn something new and then loses it. Here is an example of some children who don't want to learn, get stressed at school and become overwhelmed.
Pay attention to the “first warning signs”, talk to children more often, support them, praise them

The streets of Great Britain shimmered with festive fervor as New Year shopping reached its zenith. London’s Oxford Street, adorned with twinkling lights and towering Christmas trees, buzzed with eager shoppers clutching bags brimming with treasures. From Harrods’ opulent displays to the quaint charm of local markets, the air was thick with anticipation and the scent of mulled wine. Families huddled together, their laughter mingling with carolers’ melodies, while children marveled at window displays of snow-dusted villages and mechanical reindeer.
In Manchester, the Northern Quarter’s indie boutiques offered unique finds, from handcrafted ornaments to vintage attire, drawing in those seeking something beyond the ordinary. Meanwhile, Edinburgh’s Princes Street glowed under the shadow of the castle, its shops offering everything from tartan scarves to fine whisky, perfect for toasting the year ahead.
Online shopping surged too, with Brits snagging last-minute deals and ensuring their loved ones received the perfect gifts. As the clock ticked closer to midnight, the nation’s shopping spree symbolized not just preparation for the New Year, but a celebration of togetherness, hope, and the joy of giving.

To improve your pronunciation, it is important to learn the sounds of a language not only at the phonetic level, but also using live speech from native speakers. Listen to audio recordings and repeat after them. Pay attention to intonation, melody and accents. This will not only help you memorize the right sounds, but also greatly improve your understanding of English.
Another important aspect is ❗️❗️❗️использование videos. By watching the articulation and lip movements of native speakers, you can better understand how to pronounce difficult sounds. Record your performance and listen to it to identify your mistakes - this will allow you to become more conscious of your learning.
Don't forget to practice regularly. Constant repetition and practicing the language in a variety of situations helps develop "automaticity" in pronunciation. Take time in front of the mirror, paving the way for confident and clear reproduction of sounds. 👂Train not only your ear but also your voice - this way you will achieve harmony between hearing and articulation.

The best British films 🎬 have a unique ability to capture the essence of the culture and spirit of Great Britain. Their inimitable style and depth of character make these films true works of art. Classics like Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Sunny Side of Life showcase the range of emotions and situations that the characters face.
Modern works like The Secret Scripture and Knockin' on Heaven's Door cover relevant topics, often using dark humour to convey complex ideas and feelings. Directors like Ken Loach and Ridley Scott highlight social issues through the lens of personal tragedies and triumphs.
And let's not forget such outstanding works as Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes, which have won the love of audiences around the world. Each of these films not only entertains, but also makes you think about life, culture and human relationships. British cinema continues to inspire and conquer the hearts of viewers.

The festive season in the United Kingdom is a time of enchantment, tradition, and warmth, as the country embraces the magic of Christmas and New Year. From the bustling streets of London adorned with twinkling lights to the quaint villages nestled in the countryside, the spirit of celebration is palpable. Families gather around crackling fires, sharing stories and indulging in hearty feasts of roast turkey, mince pies, and Christmas pudding. The air is filled with the melodies of carol singers, their voices echoing through frosty evenings.
On Christmas Day, the Queen’s Speech remains a cherished tradition, uniting the nation in reflection and hope. Boxing Day follows, marked by lively sales, football matches, and leisurely walks to shake off the indulgence of the previous day. As the year draws to a close, New Year’s Eve, or Hogmanay in Scotland, takes center stage with fireworks, ceilidh dances, and the singing of "Auld Lang Syne."
The UK’s New Year celebrations are a testament to its rich cultural tapestry, blending ancient customs with modern revelry. It’s a time to cherish loved ones, embrace new beginnings, and revel in the timeless magic of the season.

One of the key resources that has greatly influenced my online English teaching has been the book Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language by Marianne Celce-Murcia. This book has been a real guide for me, combining theory and practice. It discusses in detail teaching methods, approaches to teaching different aspects of the language, and strategies for working with students at different levels. Of particular value to me was the attention to the communicative approach, which helps students not just learn the language, but actively use it in real-life situations. In addition, the book offers many practical exercises and examples that I have successfully adapted for my online lessons. This resource has not only expanded my teaching armoury, but also inspired me to find new ways to make learning more effective and engaging for students.

"How to Understand and Contain Native Speakers" offers a comprehensive approach to conducting dialogues with native speakers. An important aspect is the choice of interlocutor: preference should be given to those who are ready to share their experience and rules. These can be both experienced bloggers and beginners interested in the community.
In the process of interaction, the use of audio and video materials becomes a key point. They help not only to catch the subtleties of pronunciation and intonation, but also to improve the understanding of cultural contexts. Analysis of such materials helps to develop listening skills and fosters confidence in answers.
In addition, it is recommended to ask open-ended questions, which creates space for long discussions. It is important to actively participate in the conversation, demonstrating interest and respect for the interlocutor. This ensures a more comfortable atmosphere and deeper communication.
Thus, blogging with foreigners becomes a valuable experience that enriches not only the language, but also the cultural exchange.

The Present Continuous tense, often called the Present Progressive, serves a vital function in the realm of grammar, capturing the essence of actions that are currently unfolding. This tense is formed by joining the verb "to be" in the present (am, is, are) with the present participle of the main verb, which typically ends in -ing. For example, "I am writing," signifies an action in progress at this very moment.
The Present Continuous can depict not only actions taking place right now but also future plans or arrangements. For instance, saying "We are meeting tomorrow" implies a future commitment. Furthermore, it allows for emphasis on the ongoing nature of an activity, conveying a sense of immediacy and engagement, as seen in "She is studying for her exams."
This tense also captures habitual actions that are temporary or might not be typical, illustrated by "He is living in Paris this summer." Furthermore, it can express annoyance or irritation when combined with adverbs such as "always," as in "They are always leaving their dishes out."
In its multifaceted application, the Present Continuous becomes an essential tool in narrating experiences and shaping the flow of time in both spoken and written language.

Every morning I start with a ritual that sets me up for a productive day as an English tutor. At 6:30, I get up and drink a glass of water with lemon: it helps me wake up and energize. Then I allocate 15 minutes for meditation to calm my mind and focus on the upcoming study hours.
After meditation, I exercise: a short exercise and stretching is key to not only physical but also mental health. I eat breakfast of oatmeal with fruit to get the necessary portion of carbohydrates and vitamins.
Creating content for social media is important and I do it right after my morning rituals. My advice: use video and text prompts to make your content more accessible and interesting. For example, make a short video about your morning routine, adding English study tips to it. This will not only attract attention, but also create a sense of connection with your subscribers.
