On the 40th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death, I thought it appropriate to post the first portrait I made for The Great British songwriters project, Doug Flett who wrote the lyrics to 4 Elvis songs, his song writing partner Guy Fletcher the music to Just Pretend and The Fairs Moving On, both from the Memphis period. 10 Trinity Square, London, yesterday. I have been photographing the restoration of the former Port of London Authority building since January 2014, one of my longest commercial projects. Now nearing completion, looking through just the last few months of work today it's immediately apparent that the finished building is a huge testament to the craftsmen and specialist trades who have worked so painstakingly to create such a beautiful new landmark building in London. Great work. I missed this DPS at the weekend as I was away- Guardian Weekend magazine asked me to photograph the White cliffs of Dover to illustrate a story on the 59yr old twins who were discovered at the foot of the cliffs on New Year's Day, it's still a mystery as to how they lost their lives.
