Sense8 Week Day 2 | Favourite Scene

There are quite literally so many scenes that could be my favourite scene. The intro scene in 2x01, all fight scenes, the birthday celebration, Cluster vs. Cluster, What's going on, all Kala and Wolfgang scenes, and a couple visiting scenes just to name a few.

But if im going to choose just one, then this time around, it'll be Season 2 Episode 7 when Riley goes to meet the whistle-blower, and they get into the basement. Riley walks into the entrance than the camera pans, and Will comes out, then Sun, then Wolfgang, and when they can tell its safe, the rest of the cluster comes out.

It's my favourite scene because it's one of the scenes that just show the dynamic, the bonds, and relationships within the cluster. Just how much they've grown more attuned to each other and work more harmoniously because they have a better understanding of being a sensate. Sun, Will, and Wolfgang are coming out first to surveil and assess the threat. At times, Lito may even pop up because he's also very perceptive and has a good understanding of people, i.e., when the "lawyers" came to the jail to kill Sun.

Even moreso, when Riley is about to drink the blocker and Will disagrees but she looks to Sun who at times is a source of calmness and calculated thought, for guidance, maybe even reassurance because Will would obviously have a biased opinion given his very close relationship to Riley. It's just so perfect!!!

Today's theme is Rainbow and I wasn't sure I had anything more to add, but in the spirit of Pride Month here goes...

There were so many queer supporting characters who didn't have many scenes in the grand scheme of things but still had a HUGE impact just by being who they were. In particular during the San Francisco segments: Lola, the hospital nurse who Amanita couldn't have saved Nomi without; and Lucerne, the woman who owned the shelter Nomi and Amanita stayed at. Not to mention Georges, the owner of Sans Jour in Paris whose fuck the police attitude helped the cluster save Wolfgang.

And of course, the fairies serving anti-trans/homophobia brownies at the Nominita wedding. Love is love, and we wouldn't have the show we do without the queer community as cast, crew, and audience.
