You were worried thought, because you hadn't seen your girlfriend Tara, none knew if she was alive or not, nurses were rude and didn't reply to all the questions you made.

You were actually ok, you took just a stab in your shoulder, they took care of you and said that you could leave in 2 days, you didn't want to stay there, but you were forced.

When you heard the door open you immediately turned seeing Tara, you let out a big breath and smiled.

Max couldn't sleep, it wasn't a new thing, she couldn't sleep for an entire month, you were worried, you knew something was off, you knew Max wasn't ok, but she didn't want your help, she was distant and after trying to help her you decided that you couldn't if she didn't want to.

You and Max were good friends, you met when she arrived in Hawkins almost two years before, you became inseparable, you both had a crush on each other, but it was hard to admit.

You danced together at the snowball and spent all the summer together, you were there after her brother's death, but after a month she became cold with you, distant.

You hadn't talked in a while, until one night.

You were in your bedroom, laying on your stomach, thinking about everything and nothing, you couldn't sleep.

You heard a soft knock on the window, you saw a small figure outside of it, you freezed, but then you recognised her, it was Max.

You got up and opened your window, letting her inside.

<<What are you doing here Max? It's almost midnight and- >> You stopped, when you noticed she was crying.

<<Max... hey don't cry, it's ok>> You hugged her, you missed that feeling, her body wrapped onto yours, and she missed it too.

You held her for a minute, that felt like hours, when she stopped crying she pulled away, you put your fingers on her face, wiping her tears.

You smiled softly, and she smiled back, you both missed each other, it was obvious.

<<Y/n, I need you>> She whispered.

<<You want to spend the night?>> You asked.

<<Yes please>> She smiled.

You two lay on your bed, she hugged you tightly.

<<Something happened?>> You asked.

People in the Warrington area have alleged that Brianna was being bullied in school, and that neither the administration nor the police did anything.

Despite this, local police have said there is no evidence that the attack was hate-based and most news articles don't mention her status as a trans woman. This is deliberate. This is genocide by the hands of transphobes and TERFs.

Britain does not have gender self-identification (your legal gender being determined by how you identify and not any arbitrary medical requirements), meaning even in her death she will be deadnamed and misgendered on her death certificate.

She deserved so much better.
