Regulus’ first word

“Sirius!” 

The small infant babbled out, grabbing at his big brother. He giggled, innocence shining in his dark eyes, like stars in the night sky. Regulus was small, yet Sirius loved him so much.

“Sirius!”

The youngest child cried out when his mother used the cruciatus curse on his big brother. He wiped his tears quickly, blinking away the his watery eyes. Regulus was a child, yet Sirius had to leave him.

“Sirius!” 

The heir of the noble and most ancient house of black screamed out, trying to escape the inferi which were grabbing at him. He sobbed as death consumed him, slowly pulling him to the bottom of the cave. Regulus was dead, and Sirius could do nothing to prevent that.
