Using the coastline of Australia as inspiration and the national colours green and gold I arranged the photos and then using a monotone effect and then adjusting hue, saturation, brightness and contrast of each of the individual photos. Finally the barbed wire make a strong emotional statement of the asylum seekers that are currently incarcerated by Australia.

ideas for project 3
I would like to do something about the issue of asylum seekers, a subject that I'm passionate about. The emotions of sadness and despair are ones I want to evoke when looking at my triptych.

I think I could use the Melbourne train network map as a central image in the animatic, it then zooms in to specific stations on the network to denote where each act is playing.

Welcome to Public Transport Victoria, your guide to public transport in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The pattern is also used as the background for Public Transport Victoria's website.

I like the pattern animation at the start of this video. I think it could be used as a mask for images in my 'animatic'.

Going with the idea of creating a postcard image for Melbourne I want to reduce the iconic buildings into blocks of colour shapes and their angular nature.
Using these logos as inspiration, the City of Melbourne and The Arts Centre.

This ad I think shows what Melbourne is all about, and I want to capture some the feel of what this ad portrays. The typography at the end of the ad is particularly beautiful.

The website thatsmelbourne.com.au, the design and especially the background look similar to what I want to achieve. With the mashup of iconic Melbourne buildings.

I have come with the idea of making a postcard image for Melbourne. Using the above image for inspiration, I want to do a 'mashup' of all of the iconic buildings in Melbourne using their shape and in a similar style to Wyndham Lewis' BLAST
