Vivid Dreams Can Feel Like Actual Experiences
Vivid Dreams Can Feel Like Actual Experiences
Among The Causes Are Insomnia, Stress, Pregnancy, Sleep Apnea, And Certain Medications
There is a type of dream that seems almost real. It is called a vivid dream, and people can sometimes recall every detail, like an actual experience, rather than a dream, which gets quickly forgotten. Dreams occur during the REM (rapid eye movement) phase of sleep. There are two phases, non-rapid eye movement (NREM), and REM, in which dreams occur. Both phases take about 90 minutes, which compose a sleep cycle, and play in a loop through the night. Initially, REM takes 25% of the cycle, but, as time passes, the REM phase takes more time, so vivid dreams occur when REM is more intense, just before waking up. Vivid dreams are harmless and can include even sex fantasies, but they can also be intense nightmares that can lead to anxiety. Among the causes are sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy. Other causes are excessive stress, and certain medications, such as drugs for Parkinson’s disorder, antidepressants, beta-blockers for heartburn, and medication to stop smoking. An additional cause is pregnancy. Even though they are not harmful, they can affect memory and concentration, such as when having an intense experience. It also causes sleepiness and can result in sleep issues, if the dreams are nightmares. Click here for more information.

Tongue Fat Can Be The Main Factor For Sleep Apnea
Tongue Fat Can Be The Main Factor For Sleep Apnea
However, There Are No Practical Surgical Procedures To Decrease Tongue Fat, Requiring A Decrease Of Total Body Fat
According to a study, the percentage of fat in the tongue can increase the risk of sleep apnea, and the solution for this condition would be losing this excess fat. In sleep apnea, airflow is interrupted due to a relaxation of tongue tissue when sleeping. Other causes can be large tonsils or a recessed jaw. The study informed that this condition can be treated by decreasing the percentage of tongue fat. However, there are not practical surgical procedures, such as liposuction for the tongue. Also, tongue fat is not exactly associated with total body fat. An obese person can have a small percentage of tongue fat, and the contrary occurs for a thin person. Therefore, the only solution would be to lose excess weight, reducing total body fat, which also decreases tongue fat. More info click here.

Some People Wake Up At Certain Fixed Times At Night
Some People Wake Up At Certain Fixed Times At Night
The Cause Might Be Acid Reflux, Sleep Apnea, Or Chronic Pain, Along With Sleep Cycles
Most people believe that sleep is an uninterrupted process, but the truth is that they wake up several times a night. However, these awakenings are so brief that the person doesn't remember, because the brain assigns them amnesic characteristics in order to avoid sleep interruptions. These can last even a few minutes, and occur when the body shifts position in to avoid waking up stiff and with poor muscle tone and can also happen when the brain transits from the sleep cycle to another. However, there are cases in which these interruptions are not amnesic, and the person wakes up, and sometimes the awakening is always at a certain hour of the night. Among the causes are anxiety, in which the brain is still on a state of high alert, medical conditions, such as acid reflux or sleep apnea, and chronic pain. The cause of the awakening at a certain time is usually due to the sleep cycles, which always occur at certain predefined times. When the sleep cycle is in light sleep (as opposed to deep sleep), the body can wake up very easily, due to sleep apnea, pain sensitivity, or acid reflux, which might be the reason why people wake up at certain times. Strong Morning Headaches Can Be A Symptom Of A Serious Condition, Such A Brain Tumor
Strong Morning Headaches Can Be A Symptom Of A Serious Condition, Such A Brain Tumor
It Can Also Be Caused By Sleep Apnea Or High Blood Pressure
Strong morning headaches usually occur as a result of a hangover. However, it can also be caused by other or other health conditions, which include sleep apnea, due to poor blood oxygenation in the brain or high blood pressure, because of the excess effort on the cardiovascular system. However, it can be a warning symptom for a more serious condition, such as a brain tumor. Treatments vary because the type of tumor can vary, depending on the type, size, and location. Other symptoms are behavior changes, nausea, vomiting, and balancing difficulties, among others. There can be general symptoms referred to the pressure of the tumor on the brain or the stem. However, there are also specific symptoms caused by the brain areas that are affected by the tumor. Diagnosis occurs when a patient visits a doctor complaining of headaches and other symptoms mentioned before, and it is most common among children and adults. Among the causes is exposure to certain products such as pesticides and rubber, genetic factors, exposure to electromagnetic fields, and serious head injuries or head traumas, among others. New Smart Pillow Includes Airbags To Change The Position Of The Snorer’s Head
New Smart Pillow Includes Airbags To Change The Position Of The Snorer’s Head
It Also Has A Sound Monitor To Detect Snores, Preventing Sleep Apnea
There are new devices that can help to get rid of snoring. Among them is a memory foam pillow, pillow, which also includes a sound monitoring system. The pillow has sensors to identify the position of the head. If the monitoring system detects a snoring sound, it communicates with the pillow, activating airbags inside the pillow, which repositions the sleeper’s head and neck, aligning them with the spine to prevent snoring and breathing interruptions due to sleep apnea. The movements are very delicate, to prevent sleep disruptions. The monitor also records the snoring frequency and level during the night. This smart pillow is an alternative to a CPAP machine, which includes a mask that provides a positive, air pressure that improves the airflow. But, it can be costly and can be uncomfortable by some sleep apnea sufferers. More details click here.

New Smartwatch Can Detect Sleep Apnea And Atrial Fibrillation
New Smartwatch Can Detect Sleep Apnea And Atrial Fibrillation
It Registers Blood Oxygen Level Thought The Night
There is now a smartwatch that can detect sleep apnea. This is a condition that lowers blood oxygen level while sleeping, due to airflow obstruction, which affects the brain, due to a lower oxygen supply, being one of the main causes of dementia. Actually, this condition is suffered by 18 million people in the US. Being aware if it is not easy since it occurs at night when sleeping. This is the reason that 80% of sufferers are not aware of it. The smartwatch has a blood oxygen sensor that transmits light into the blood vessels, taking reading throughout the night, and noticing when the wearers are experiencing a low oxygen level. It also detects an irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation, which is a condition that can cause blood clots in the heart, which can cause organ damage, when pumped into the blood vessels, and can even lead to a stroke, if the blood clot reaches the brain. Lowering The Risk Of Alzheimer’s In Older People
Lowering The Risk Of Alzheimer’s In Older People
Health Advice Includes A Proper Diet, Physical And Mental Exercise, And Sleep Apnea Diagnosis And Treatment
As people age, there is an increase in the possibility of suffering from a condition associated with brain degeneration, such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. However, there are ways to lower this possibility, or to delay it, if there are genetic predispositions to suffering them. Among them is exercise, which decreases chronic inflammation and also promotes the production of beneficial proteins for the brain cells. It also reduces the risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure and lowers cholesterol. A proper diet is also important, which is a combination of the Mediterranean diet and the DASH diet. It is low in salt and usually prescribed for persons with cardiovascular issues. It includes fish, legumes and olive oil, among others. It is beneficial for the hippocampus, a brain organ associated with memory, and decreases the risk of dementia. Besides physical exercise, it is also important to perform mental exercises, which improves cognitive abilities, resulting in an optimal condition for the brain. Proper sleep will also decrease the risk of dementia, due to the fact that it removes certain proteins related to Alzheimer’s disease. Another condition related to an increase in the risk of dementia is sleep apnea, which causes breathing interruptions at night, lowering blood oxygen level, and decreasing the supply of oxygen to the brain. Excessive stress must also be avoided, which is associated with smaller brain volume and memory issues. Click here for more details.

Atrial Fibrillation Related To Alcohol Ingestion
Atrial Fibrillation Related To Alcohol Ingestion
This Condition Increases The Risk Of Stroke
Atrial fibrillation, also known as a-fib, is a heart condition that an irregular heartbeat, affecting more than 33. million people in the world. In his condition, the upper chambers of the heart, instead of contracting and relaxing to pump blood, it trembles tempers, This causes the blood to pool into the heart, which can eventually result in a blood clot. When the heart begins pumping again the clot is pushed into circulation, increasing the risk of organ damage. If the clot travels to the brain arteries can cause a blood vessel blockage, leading to stroke. There are some conditions that are associated with atrial fibrillation. Among them are high blood pressure, obesity, and obstructive sleep apnea. Researchers have found that reducing or stopping alcohol ingestion can ease the symptoms. Comparing a group that had two drinks per day to a non-drinking group, the latter had fewer episodes and less time in a-fib. Therefore, therapy should include alcohol abstinence, which also has also additional benefits such as weight loss and a decrease in high blood pressure. Additionally, according to studies, drinking appears to be related to developing this condition. More Information click here.

Excess Fluoride Exposure Can Be Related To Sleeping Disorders
Excess Fluoride Exposure Can Be Related To Sleeping Disorders
It Affects Melatonin Production And Also Shows Symptoms Similar To Sleep Apnea
According to a study, exposure to fluoride can be associated with changes in the regulation of the sleep cycle in teenagers, as well as sleep behaviors in older adolescents. Researchers found an association between fluoride exposure and self-reported daytime sleepiness or sleep patterns. Fluoride in water has shown results preventing tooth decay, and is considered an achievement in public health. However, there are other sources of this substance, which accumulates in the pineal gland, a small gland located in the brain, responsible for the production of melatonin, the hormone that regulates the cycle of sleep and wake. A high concentration of fluoride is related to poor sleep, gasping, snoring, and sleep interruptions, very similar to sleep apnea. In adults, excess fluoride is related to the calcification of the pineal gland, which leads to lower production of melatonin, lower sleep time, and less REM sleep. Additional details click here.

Identifying The Health Conditions That Can Affect Sleep
Identifying The Health Conditions That Can Affect Sleep
Among Them Are Vitamin Deficiency, Sleep Apnea, And Hormone Level Variations
Chronic sleep disorder can not only affect the quality of life but can also lead to mood disorders, obesity and heart disease. Among its causes are poor nutritional habits, which cause affect blood sugar due to excess fat and carbohydrate intake. Blood sugar variations will result in sleep interruption. The lack of certain vitamins and minerals that are related to the sleep process, will also contribute to sleep disorders. Among them are vitamin D, magnesium, and zinc. It is important also to check for hormonal variations, including thyroid disorders. Screens and technology also disrupt sleep. These emit blue light, which affects melatonin production. Melatonin is the hormone that signals the body when to sleep. A low level of it will make it difficult to fall asleep. There are also certain conditions that disrupt sleep, such as sleep apnea. This is a condition in which the tissue at the back of the tongue relaxes at night, obstructing the airway and causing breathing interruptions, which will awake the body. Dry Mouth At Night Can Promote Cavities And Bad Mouth
Dry Mouth At Night Can Promote Cavities And Bad Mouth
Its Causes Can Be Low Production Od Saliva At Night, Certain Medication, And Even Sleep Apnea
Dry mouth can affect a person’s sense of taste, promote the possibility of cavities, and result in bad breath. In many cases, dry mouth may occur at night, while sleeping, because the salivary glands decrease their production at night, which can be avoided using non-alcohol mouthwash before going to bed. Dry mouth can be caused by dehydration, which is a side effect of certain medications, such as antihistamines, diuretics, blood pressure medications, and antidepressants. Also, it is a good idea to keep a glass of water at night by the bedside, in case waking in the middle of the night up with a dry mouth. Another cause of dry mouth is sleep apnea, in which the tissue at the back of the tongue relaxes at night, obstructing the airway. The usual treatment is a CPAP machine, which will create positive air pressure, requiring the user to wear a mask. However, the patient might have a nasal obstruction, forcing the mask to send the air through the mouth.https://justnosnoring.com/rgay

Snoring Can Affect The Snorer’s Quality Of Life, And Also His Bed Partner’s
Snoring Can Affect The Snorer’s Quality Of Life, And Also His Bed Partner’s
The Sound Is Generated By A Vibration Of The Soft Tissues At The Back Of The Tongue
Snoring can affect the quality of sleep of the snorer, and also his or her bed partners’. According to a study, people slept an entire hour longer each night after their spouses stopped snoring. More good-quality sleep improves overall health. Snoring sound is generated by the vibration of the soft tissue at the back of the tongue, which causes a partial obstruction as the air forces itself through it. When the airway closes entirely, it leads to sleep apnea, which has serious consequences, like an increase in the risk of high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, obesity, and diabetes. Sleep apnea can be diagnosed by staying overnight at a sleep clinic. If the diagnosis is positive, the most common treatment is a CPAP machine, It comes with a mask that forces air in the throat and lungs, but it can be uncomfortable for some people, so not everybody can tolerate it. The alternative is a mouthpiece that will force the jaw to the front, opening the airway. Additional details click here.
