I'm finally done with this ask! Thank gods.

One one hand, I like receiving asks and talking about my ships, but on the other hand, sometimes questions catch me off guard and I realize that I have no specific answer on hand ready, and therefore I have to sit there and think about it, even when I'm not ready to think about it... (I can't force ideas, they usually just naturally come to me by themselves.)

Anyways, thank you for the ask, and I'm sorry you had to wait for almost the entire summer for me to write down my answers.

If you said that to him, Liang would look at you like you’re an idiot, before gesturing vaguely at the entirety of Zero, being like: “I don’t know, how about common sense???”

Literally, though, getting together with Zero must have been the least sensible decision he ever made in his life, and that’s after he tried to fight Hajime (I'll never let go of that one scene, oh my god, Liang, the idiot that you are...).

1. First of all, it’s a known fact that Zero will never leave this jail (supposedly…) This relationship is going nowhere.

2. After that, Liang is genuinely not sure if he would be able to handle whatever expressions of love Zero could possibly try to inflict on him.

3. He’s still on the fence whether he wants to tie his life with a human-eating monstrosity who doesn’t differentiate right from wrong.

4. He already started letting go of his prejudices, but he still has no idea how to court and approach relationship with women. He knows that there are some expectations. But what exactly is he supposed to do? (Luckily for him, Zero has no expectations and doesn’t give a shit about human dating customs)

5. Does he even want to get into relationship? Especially before he got his life in order? He’s not sure if it’s a good idea to form this kind of attachment.

So as you can see, poor boy went through a major crisis.

Meanwhile Zero was just chilling. She made her intentions and feelings crystal clear from the very start, so she was just waiting to see where it all goes with Liang. The fact that he was clearly going through such an inner turmoil amused her.

Liang tried to persuade himself, thinking about all the awful qualities Zero possesses and why it’s not going to work out, only to end up frustrated that even that wasn’t enough to convince his brain chemistry. Then he tried to simply ignore his crush, hoping that it’s temporary. He doesn’t want to talk about it, he doesn’t want to act out on his unfortunate attraction, he will be shutting down any attempt Zero might make at being inappropriate, and he will be throwing hands with the next person who jokes about him and Zero being a couple.

Liang managed to keep up this attitude for a few years before giving up. And even then he calmed himself by thinking that everything will be over when he gets out of prison anyways (while at the same time dreading the thought of it being over and having to leave Zero).

Zero didn’t want to get rid of her feeling – on the opposite, it was something new and interesting that she wanted to study about herself. However, she did consider that, after she figures out the phenomenon and maybe gets enough of it, she might try to toss it away for convenience. But it’s just her speculations for the future.

I think that for this question, it’s time to pay more attention to Zero. She knows how to flirt in the way humans do, BUT- This time she doesn’t need to hide what she really is. And since she’s aiming for a long-term companionship, it’s better to be herself from the start, right? It’s not like she would be disappointed if Liang doesn't reciprocate anyways.

Yeah, anyways... CANNIBALISM.

There was one time when a brilliant idea came to Zero's head. She told Liang that maybe, if they had a chance, she would have loved to share a meal with him. He doesn't have to kill anyone, obviously – Zero will hunt and bring the body herself. Then they can even cook it (after all, it's unsafe for humans to eat raw meat) and have a dinner together.

And listen, it's not that Liang wasn't able to understand that it was likely Zero making a move on him. However, he was too distracted trying to process WHY WOULD SHE OFFER SUCH THING TO HIM, and how he can avoid it.

As for Zero, her thought process was sound – perhaps if Liang tries her food for himself, they would come to a better understanding and a stronger bond. She wanted him to get over his "prejudices" and realize that "it's just meat".

I guess Zero views it as a cultural exchange of sorts. Meanwhile Liang is going through another crisis upon understanding that this creature really doesn't understand humans morals.

In the end, it all just turned into a long argument regarding the ethics of eating human meat...

SUPPORTING PALESTINE / VOTING A 3RD PARTY CANDIDATE:

US CITIZENS PLS READ:

Since Biden and Trump are both trash, I feel like voters who care about Palestine will inevitably be stuck between not voting at all or voting for a 3rd party candidate. Let me help you sort some of that out some possible MISCONCEPTIONS:

'Voting for a third party will get a republican in power. Rather than break up the democratic vote and get Trump in power again, I'd rather take the safe route and vote for genocide joe' I hope reading the statement out loud yourself will bring you to your senses. Voting Biden this time around means continuing genocide with your OWN hands. Re-electing someone means you approve of their actions in their previous term and would like them to continue.

But isn't voting for a 3rd party candidate the same as voting for Trump, since you're just making the democratic candidate lose votes? No. Let's say I am a democrat and I vote a 3rd party candidate, and because of that, the democratic candidate loses by a small margin. That makes a statement: "If we had taken our voters who are anti-genocide seriously, we wouldn't have had this loss. Hey maybe next time, if we want this group's votes, we should take their claims more seriously, maybe then we can get their votes." Those running for congress will take notice of this too since they're also trying to get elected. This is not the same as voting for trump, which sends the message of 'I support Trump and his policies' Will this mean we might suffer another Trump presidency though? Possibly, but It's a long game we're fighting: 75 years of ethnic cleansing + American support of genocide is going to take time and strategy to dismantle. If we are disturbed about Trump being president, we must then focus our energy into the local congressional races. Having a democratic majority congress can subdue the effects of a Trump presidency.

'I don't support either Biden or Trump so I won't vote at all. That'll show them!' In America, if you don't vote, you don't count. The side with the majority of votes WILL win, whether its 100 ppl voting or the whole country voting. Not voting doesn't show anything! The ONLY way to show resistance/displeasure with candidates is if you show that: "YES I'm a voter (that could have voted for you if you supported Palestine), BUT since you support genocide, you just lost that potential vote." On the other hand, If you do not vote at all, the message elected officials are hearing is: "People who oppose the genocide are not part of elections. They don't affect whether I get elected or not, so why should I listen to their concerns?" Remember, the goal of every politician is re-election. Without being elected, they can't achieve any of their goals. And so they will listen to those who are helping them get elected, whether that's through money, or votes.

LASTLY. LISTEN UP. You might thing the presidential election is the most important but the REAL IMPORTANT ELECTIONS ARE THE LOCAL CONGRESSIONAL ONES. Congress members ( NOT the president) are the ones whose job it is to listen to the people. If you truly care about Palestine, make sure to support the VERY FEW congress-ppl who have showed their support for a ceasefire. Get them re-elected and show the people with power that- the other side might have money but we have VOTING POWER. So if they want to get elected by us, they MUST address our concerns.

Continuing Adventures in Car Ownership

Car owned for 10 years by my parents, in pristine condition. I drove it 950 miles to get it home, no trouble. In under 1 week in Boston, somebody smashed it up.

I had the car in a MBTA parking lot, and when I came back, the driver's side was scratched all to shit, dented on both doors, and my side mirror was ripped off and smashed. I don't even know how they did this in that parking lot, I was well within my lines and it looks like you'd have to practically T-Bone it to get this damage.

No sign of the other driver. However there was a note on the car windshield. Not the guy who hit me, but a witness who wrote that they saw the whole thing, it was a Ford sedan and the license plate number is LCD9183, good luck! No contact info for anybody.

Had to get transit police involved. They were surprisingly helpful. They ran the plates, and went by the address and the other car was smashed up in just the right spot, so they approached the guy and he confessed, and now I have his insurance. So thank you random passerby! You saved me a bunch of headache and probably $$$$.

But now I have to get the car fixed. It drives fine, but it's apparently illegal to drive around without a side mirror in my state, so it's at the shop. They have to do an official insurance assessment first. I still have to also get my emissions testing, but unfortunately the shop my insurance told me to take the car to doesn't do that, so I have to also take it to a second shop to get that done. I don't have time for any of this btw, since I already had to take off work to register the car at the RMV.

I still don't have my parking sticker or my official title, both are in the mail to me supposedly. So I now need to find a NEW place to park it where my car doesn't get towed or Fury Roaded.

Already owning a car in Boston is waaaaaaaaaaay more trouble than it's worth, lol
