Like I don't even need the ability to write much of a plot, I'm fine with that, I have no ambition to be a very good storyteller, but can I please please just put to words the filthy things I want happening between the characters I like. That's it. That's all I want to be able to do as a fic writer.

It's also the takeaway from some that this somehow proves Mark's love for Gemma didn't transcend severence but it did for Helly. Which is a real fucking reach imo
...like those two's first meeting as outies wasn't influenced by Helena's knowledge of how to engage with Mark on a basic level from her time as Helly (which she then proceeds to fumble), and Mark already having begun reintegration.
gemma/ms casey and her multiple innies have suffered more than all of mdr combined so forgive me if the 'aw they chose freedom for five minutes and left her crying and suffering <3' stuff compelling or some big commentary on bodily autonomy or innie rights or whatever lol
