I genuinely fucking love the implication that the cartoonishness of the Circus is something the characters can manipulate and take advantage of.

Kinger creating that butterfly and the extra heart for Ragatha was the biggest example, but also, like...Jax and Pomni being able to pull off insane trick shots, including ones like Kingers where the bullets implausibly ricochet in convenient ways.

Even Gangle's mask seems to be part of it! Like, now that she's much happier and has better self-esteem and a healthy relationship with Zooble, her happy mask doesn't break nearly as easily. She face-planted from a two-story drop and her comedy mask stayed intact! Not to mention, she has started showing signs of being able to smile and feel happy even with the sad mask.

(AND the fact Zooble could just...tuck the comedy mask behind their back and have it be in safe storage until they pulled it out again - that could be visual convenience for animation, but like, in-universe it still carries weight.)

Or, for a more solemn example, Jax's tail appearing and disappearing as he questions his sense of self and his relationships within the game.

Ragatha seemingly took advantage of the cartoon physics by accident when she plugged up Jax's gun and caused it to backfire, hurting him instead. It didn't even take intent, it happened seemingly instinctively. Maybe in response to what Ragatha was feeling, but not anything she was thinking.

Which...actually, the implication they can do this on accident is terrifying.
