Posted @withregram • @blue_medium Tonight, @HowlHappening celebrates the opening of “Othered,” a solo exhibition by activist and eco-artist Christy Rupp. Over her five decade plus career, Rupp has investigated the edge of our current geological era, calling attention to the connection between non-humans and habitat, and how these relationships are permanently altered by the presence of humans. “Othered” features claustrophobic collages blown up to wall-scale and sculptures constructed of commodified materials and urban detritus, reflecting on topics including climate chaos, the industrialization of our food supply, and water pollution. “Othered” is on view through May 22, 2022 at Howl!
