I cant actually put my panels up until tommorrow morning in case it gets windy and they get blown off so I put up some bits today.
My class mate Coco had done some speech bubbles with the senses written on and i liked her idea. I asked her if it would be ok to use her idea and she agreed so I will put words onto the arch.
I brought in some small stools and table from home to display my pieces tommorrow. I hope they are ok.
I also put up some incense for the sense of smell.
The arch, front and back.
It looks a bit messy here but I was adding to it.
I played the sounds over it today and it is very nice.
The whole concept works well together but it needs all of it.
I will use my laptop with speakers outside for my presentation.
Tumblr wont allow the audio file to be uploaded because its too big.
It is 11.32 minute long and the sounds I recorded are;
Birdsong Limerick city and county, Arkansa U.S.A, Florence.
Rain, Arkansa and Limerick.
Chickens and Roosters.
A Raven, Loch Gur.
People talking, Various places Limerick.
Bus driver in the Chianti region, Italy.
Angle grinder.
Protest speech.
Ball bouncing, Clare Street Park.
Spoon tapping ceramics.
Bag pipes, West Limerick.
Spoon tapping ceramics.
Bubble blowing in a cup.
Kettle boiling.
Tea being pore out.
Tea being stirred in cup.

Trying out the panels to see how they look.
Adding more bits and pieces.
The handles for the saw.
The hineycomb and the bees are still disintegrating.
The decal photocopied images, the plates and cups to put them on and the process of dipping into tepid water, peeling off and applying to the dishes.
The images that I used are photographs of work I previously made.

I needed more bars for the arch so I used the dowl from my previous project and painted it black.
I also painted the saw with black enamel paint.
Getting everything ready to put on the arch.

My friend Madeline gave me this book and I liked the colour scheme. I used the pastel tones and hues for some of my clay pieces.

I had originally thought of making something similar to this for my arch. The artist uses his materials to their full capacity, which I like.

Artist Grayson Perry.

I would like to try and imitate the work of this artist. He is known for his ceramics and tapestries. He says 'The world I draw is the interior landscape of my personal obsessions..... That resonates with me. I like when art shows the personality of the artist.
I don't have the steadiest hand or a fine touch so I did not try and do anything similar to Perrys. I did not know that there were clay pencils available to me. I think I might have been comfartable using them. I will buy some and do some practice over the summer.

Cleaning a saw.

I've been using bread soda, brown vinegar and lemon juice to get rid of the rust on the saw, before I put the handles on.
