‎its 2am and LONGASS word salad ahead BUT i suddenly thought of erlang cradling wukong's lifeless body after their fight in the intro. maybe they had one last talk after they came crashing down on mount huaguo  . wukong, with a smile on his worn, dreary face, thanking erlang for going along with such a ridiculous plan, one that he probably wasn't even sure would work. they both knew outsmarting the celestial court was no easy task

‎wukong must've thought that if anyone had to end him, it had to be by erlang's hands. he not only entrusted his life but also his memories to this One man that had stood as his sworn brother, rival, and equal since time immemorial  . as their conversation was coming to an end, perhaps wukong just simply succumbed to his injuries that he refused to heal, because he knew erlang would keep his word ,

‎then came the final hug. i know erlang held that monkey in his arms for quite awhile, feeling the life and warmth slowly leave wukongs body. now, all he had left of wukong was his memories, both a blessing and a burden that he was going to carry for centuries

‎also of course im gonna mention the fact that erlang went out of his way to leave plum blossoms by wukong's remains and even KILLED his own celestial soldiers who dared to come too close. as well as erlang's self-imposed exile inside the mount mei mural just so he could reflect on his feelings about wukong . historians will say they were good friends
