hey guys, for the ones who watch Memoirs of a Geisha - be aware, even the most high paid maiko/geiko-san from Kyoto named Mineko Iwasaki said it was supposed to be based off her but it wasn't true. Mizuage is considered and discouraged in a lot and I mean LOTS of geisha communities.
