SKINSOLVE Multi-benefit Butter Balm by @bellavita.organic got me feeling in a certain way 🌝 . . I bought this product for Rs.299/- for 85gms during the Mumbai winters. Yup, Mumbai winters is an actual thing now! Something to soothe my dry skin and provide it with some good nourishment. . . The name itself got me very excited “Butter Balm” now tell me that isn’t ding! ding! ding! But when I tried this product for the first time till many months now, it has maintained this melted butter texture. I was expecting something dense. It does have a pleasant vanilla fragrance to it. Not over powering by any means, rather comforting I’d say. Like a warm hug from your mum. It later melts into this oil texture on your skin and leaves a coating of oil thereafter. . . Now, I wouldn’t recommend it to use it on your face. But, you can use it on your cuticles, dry elbows, knees, cracked heels and it would work fantastically as a massage oil sorbet as it were. . . It’s natural, chemical free, vegan and all that good stuff for a decent price. I am not sure about the stretch marks bit.. but just bare in mind that it works more like a heavy oil. Not a lightweight product. Ideal only for winters/cold regions. If that’s your bid, go for it. I usually use it only on my body and not on my face. This is making some good old “medicinal food bites” for the elephants 🐘 rather big giant balls of mashed rice, tamarind, papaya, banana and couple of other natural locally sourced ingredients to help them digest their food. Each 🐘 at least has 4 of these digestive balls every day. Here we are making it my hand, the old fashioned way. They still follow this traditional route to make these medicinal balls.
