I'm sorry old friend..

he misses his dear old friend 🥹..Sanzang means alot to Wukong probably the only one person he allows himself to be vulnerable with

When the memories of his past friend which is Sanzang's past reincarnation came back flooding bro literally can't handle the guilt like Wukong was hellbent on aiding his master and dear old friend to succeed on his mission 😤..Wukong wants him to stop suffering the cycle of reincarnation and finally be at peace 🥹.. the guilt stems for him feeling betrayed bc he thought Sanzang past reincarnation (i need to find a name i know) had abandoned him so him knowing the truth deeply affected him..he never knew how much the lil boy he knew and love had suffered countless trials as part of his fate

Wukong slowly learns to be more patient and soften up along the journey especially after knowing the truth about his old friend.. he was so proud of Sanzang when they finally reached the west heaven and all that jazz..to him in his very long life the few years he'd spent with the gang was the best few years of his life abeit all the trials and tribulations and headache he was with loving friends and family 🥹

(younger Wukong with Sanzang's past reincarnation.. the first human to be kind to him and his savior..a very kind and young boy..i need to draw more of their past interactions it's so cute 😭)

well, someone needs to make sure the foods the come across is safe! might as well be the guy with a few dozens immortalities on his belt! travelling to unknown lands means having to experiment with different foods as they are available to you, especially when you're on a long journey and you need every bit of sustenance as you can get.
