Magister Evangeline: WHAT KINDA QUESTION IS THIS!? OF COURSE HE WON'T ANSWER IT!

(she rubs her temple and groans)

Magister Evangeline: From my perspective, he would NEVER, EVER confess to her. There are a lot of reasons after I observe him.

(she looks at Dolly at the Noble Tavern and tilts her head)

Magister Evangeline: First, he's a VERY shy person. Although he's been hanging out and traveling with Dolly, been flustered and all around her-- he's just ain't got the guts to express his feelings towards her.

(she ruffles her hair and sighs in frustration)

Magister Evangeline: Second, the amnesiac condition of him. Yes, that's ALSO the reason for him to NOT court her. He would forget and keep on confessing over and OVER AGAIN without him realising it! AND will be EXTREMELY embarrassed if Dolly said, "You have confessed to me countless times already, Magister Kafka." at one point!

(her brows forrow, getting the second hand embarrassment from her explaination)

Magister Evangeline: The last one, for now-- he's currently focusing on fulfilling his destiny. His "missions" are his priority for now rather than building a family with her.

(she shakes her head, crosses her arms and grunts)

Me: Wait...

(I look at the question and look at her in awe)

Me: Yes, he would not answer this question... at all... He rather throws himself into the abyss due to embarrassment...

(I touch the back of my neck and chuckle)

Magister Evangeline: Let me eliminate this question. He'll get a heart attack from it.

(she casts a spell-- incinerates the "ask letter" and smiles in satisfaction)

Magister Evangeline: He's thinking too deeply about the present also, fear that his words might hurt others and what not.

(she raises an eyebrow and tilts her head)

Magister Evangeline: BUT, his mind ALSO dwells in the "darker" side, sometimes. I once overheard him saying;

(she clears her throat and tries to imitate Magister Kafka's voice; slow pace and soft voice)

Magister Evangeline: "Oh, Dura... Why am I still... alive..? When will all this end..? Dura Above, Please... take me away... away from this Land..."

(she frowns after saying it then changes her pace immediately)

Magister Evangeline: THEN, I smack at the back of his head with my Magic Book and scolded him! He shouldn't think THAT way! It takes time to accomplish our so-called destiny, anyways!

(she sighs in frustration and ruffles her hair)

Magister Evangeline: He didn't realise that we are CURRENTLY building up new alliances throughout Esperia in this NEW ERA and THAT might be the KEY to accomplish Our Destiny.

(she picks up some invitation letters on the table, the letters that summon the Heroes to assist on her journey)

Magister Evangeline: Really-- I really don't want him to be too overwhelmed with his own thoughts and feelings. He might-- lost his memories, again.

(she whispers and covers her face)

Me: Magister Evangeline ? ... Oh, dear... You answered the question, again...

(I slowly hug her and pat her head)

Magister Kafka: ... (he covers his face in embarrassment)

Magister Kafka: ... (he takes a deep breath and releases it, still covering his face)

Magister Kafka: If my memories served me right... Indeed, back at Serene Lyceum... He has longer hair than the last time we met at Cedartown... His silky, wavy black hair length is around his back when he's... A student... (he pauses, still covering his face)

Magister Kafka: He likes to change hairstyles depending on the situation... Most of the time, he ties it to a low ponytail... similar to how Viscount Ludovic ties his hair... With a golden ribbon which has a purple gemstone on it which... had been cast with protective magic... For protection, of course... (he closes his eyes and sighs)

Magister Kafka: Sometimes, he ties it to a manly hair bun when attending... practical lessons in the arena... He does that maybe because... long hair feels like a hindrance when attending the practical lessons... To move about on the field... (he slowly uncovers his face)

Magister Kafka: He rarely lets his hair fall down his back outside our room... He only does that after a long shower and studying in the room... (he blinks slowly, lowers his gaze and covers his mouth)

Me: Heee, I know you like this topic ! (I chuckle and pat his back)

Magister Kafka: I... do comb his hair, sometimes... He's mad at me, of course... As if treating him like a child... He said I'm acting weird and at the same time... acting like his mother... (He flinches at the past memories and gritting his teeth)

Magister Kafka: To be honest, in the early days of attending Serene Lyceum... He's quite... unkept and disheveled... A noble boy, been sent to such a prestigious Magic Academy... Been forced to be... independent without his servants around him... (his voice trails off)

Magister Kafka: And... that is why I have to step up, showing the basics of being independent to him behind the close door and... Slowly let him do it by... himself... (a small smile forms on his face as he looks at me)

Me: Awww (I cover my mouth and chuckle) Big brother instinct, huh ? (I grin at him)

Magister Kafka: You can say like that... (his eyes drifting away from me as his small smile does not leave his face)

Did you had the same hairstyle that you have back in the lyceum ? Was your hair more longer ? Shorter ?

It was for my brother to have his hair cut. I never liked that idea and refused fiercely to be subjected to the barber's treatment.

It has been longer than this at that time, but for many years now I favor this particular length. The slight curls of my hair are accentuated naturally around my jawline and form this beautiful outline.

Unfortunately it requires bi-weekly grooming or else the weight of the hair drags down the hair ends too much.

(His heart pounding when they finally sit across him. He takes a deep breath and releases it, trying to stay calm and carry the conversation smoothly. 'Oh, Dura... Please... Ease my day...' , he prayed in his heart and closed his eyes)

Magister Kafka: Yes, of course... The Esperian tea that Miss Dolly brewed is indeed... delicious...

(He pauses and continues)

Magister Kafka: I would like those tea to be served almost everyday because... I can't get over it... I do hope both of you can enjoy the tea as I do...

(his voice trails off. he covers his mouth and closes his eyes)

Magister Kafka: ...

(He slowly gazes at the honored guests for awhile. Author Ambrosia's posture is relaxed, tail curls on their lap while Magister Linnie's posture is stiff... too stiff while brushing his white hair out of his eyes. Those postures of Magister Linnie... worries him.)

Magister Kafka: Magister Linnie, you may... lean against the couch and... Make yourself comfortable... (He says softly, but Magister Linnie still look stiff in his eyes)

Magister Kafka: Here... (He slowly place a soft pillow on Magister Linnie's lap with his shaky hand and pats it gently) You may hug it when... necessary... (He whispers and sit back at his spot)

Magister Kafka: I won't talk about any... Complicated or "Heavy" topics at all... My mind can't process it quite well... With those kinds of topics... (He says slowly and looks at his palms)

Magister Kafka: ...

(He stays silent for awhile, as he lost in his own thoughts. Countless questions to ask Magister Linnie crosses his mind, all at once, as if a storm raging in his mind. He becomes... overwhelm. He covers his mouth and lower his gaze)

Magister Kafka: ... (He tries to ask question, but words dies in his throat)

Me: I'm back !

(I approach them and place a tray of teapot and some cups on the table. I look at the guests and at Magister Kafka. He still deep in thoughts and the silence grow even more) 

Me: Oh, dear... Pardon me-- (I immediately sit beside him and grip his arm gently)

Me: Sorry for being away for awhile, Magister Kafka... You can do it, Magister ! I'll be here beside you !

(I whisper and hold his hand, squeezing it gently. He blink slowly in respond as the 'storm' in his mind slowly subsided)

Magister Kafka: My apologies for...breaking down like that... (He takes a deep breath, releases it and holds my hand) How rude of me to not introduce myself... properly... (His voice comes out shaky)

Magister Kafka: (he places his hand on his chest and lowers his head a bit while sitting on a couch towards them, as if bowing)

I am Magister Kafka... The owner of this Mystical House... Unfortunately, I have no recollections of my childhood days... Which family I am from... And... who I really am... (He pauses and continues)

Magister Kafka: The farthest memories that I can recall right now are... from when I am a... student at Serene Lyceum... (He lowers his gaze and closes his eyes)

Me: Here, Author Ambrosia and Magister Linnie ! It will soothes your nerve !

(I place two teacups filled with tea infront of Author Ambrosia and Magister Linnie on a table and smile)

Magister Kafka: A simple question, would you mind... share a bit about yourself, Magister Linnie..?

(He asks gently. he slowly looks at Magister Linnie and gives a gentle smile, despite Magister Linnie not maintaining his eye contact with him) 

Magister Kafka: I would like to know more about you... My Dear said that you are quite... unique... (He says softly, covers his mouth and lower his gaze)

Me: Heee ~ (I grin and chuckle)

"Ah looks like both our Merlins are socially awkward,"

(My tone is light, wrapping an arm around Linnie's shoulders, an almost comical look of betrayal on his face)

Me: Magister Kafka, we have some visitors ! Author Ambrosia and Magister Linnie ! (I shake Magister Kafka's arm, where he was currently brushing Chippy's fur)

Magister Kafka: ..! (he flinches at my grip on his arm. Chippy then hops down from his lap, thanked him and runs away)

Magister Kafka: ... (he looks at the visitors silently and tries to compose himself, as this is the first time the visitors from another universe enters his Space, the Mystical House of his, physically)

Magister Kafka: (his gaze softens and says...) Good day, Author Ambrosia and... Magister Linnie... Please, have a seat... (he takes a bow and gestures for them to sit)

Magister Kafka: May I brew you some tea, my... esteemed guests..? Let's have a... light conversation while enjoying some tea, shall we..? (His voice trails off. He gazes at Author Ambrosia then at Magister Linnie and he gives a gentle smile)

Magister Kafka: ... ('Just now... his Beloved Caretaker said... Magister Linnie is also socially awkward, like me... I have to respect his boundaries...' his mind whispers. he takes a seat on the sofa and looks at them with a gentle smile)

Magister Kafka: Make yourself comfortable, Magister Linnie and... Author Ambrosia... (He grips his knees due to nervousness)

Me: I'll ask Dolly to brew the tea ! (I run away and giggle)

How I wish he would be playable in the future-- giving a treatment like Lorsan...

Currently, General Hogan acts as a Tank when the Faction Talent is Online... I was soo happy that He, at least helped out this season, but I do wish he'd be playable in the future...

In the Quaint Mystical House of Magister Kafka...

Me: Magister Kafka, an interesting topic about staff ! What are your thoughts ? (I shake him slightly, which disturbed him from reading a Grimoire then showing him the post)

Magister Kafka: ... (he blinks slowly and rubbing his chin)

Magister Kafka: If my memories served me right... Back at Serene Lyceum... Indeed, his staff is always with him... I... sometimes polished it out of habit... (he whispers and looks at me)

Magister Kafka: ... and, yes, the students of Serene Lyceum will either craft their own staff or... request the craftsman to craft their customised staff for them... The last option is... asking the staff of the Serene Lyceum for the default staff or wand to lend it to them for awhile... for studies... (he takes a shaky breath and releases it)

Magister Kafka: Sadly, I... can't use staff... or wands... It's because... the gemstones embedded on it will break instantly when my mana surged within it... (he pauses and whispers)

Magister Kafka: I... do have my Sacred Pendant (Artifacts) which acts as... a staff, however... I have never used it in my studies due to the fact that... (his voice trails off)

Me: What is it, Magister Kafka ? (I ask in curiosity and tilt my head)

Magister Kafka: It feels like... cheating so... I didn't use it and wear it as an accessory... (he sighs and ruffles his hair)

Me: Oh... (I pat his back lightly)

Magister Kafka: Indeed, after graduation... The full fledged Mages are free to craft their staff which befits them... (he leans against the couch and closes his eyes)

Me: Mirael didn't use staff ! She's quite a powerful mage from Lyceum and your student, huh ? (I cross my arms and tilt my head)

Magister Kafka: You can... say like that... Her mana is... stable and she can cast her spells properly without the aid of the staff... to amplify her magic output... (his voice trails off and he covers his mouth)

Your staff, Court Mage, is very beautiful. Did you receive it during your service in the castle or earlier? What were your staffs before, during your studies and after graduation?

Hm, thank you. This staff perfectly reflects what I value and it has been in my hands ever since my time at the Lyceum.

You see, upon entering the Lyceum all students are presented with a very simple staff and gem, in order to learn how to channel magic most effectively. Throughout the years, students are encouraged to change the crystal and the "item" holding it, to perfectly align with their magic and style of casting.

Many students will craft their own staff, others have it commissioned from master craftsmen, and some prefer wands or even more exotic items.

Upon graduation every Magister owns their unique staff and as far as I know, in most cases, these are kept for a lifetime. The bond between mage and staff is not trivial.

Having said that, it is not uncommon to make small adjustments and naturally, should such an item ever be damaged, replacements are chosen to resemble the original.

These clothes from the Fabled Road are the very first that caught my eyes... makes me think of buying it ! Despite lots of other Fabled Roads clothes that I've come across... This-- shines brighter in my eyes !

Sadly, I dislike the hair... But the clothes are on another level !
