馃 what i learned this month 馃
the importance of knowing your best colours;
i never really understood why people bothered with things like undertones or color seasons, but ever since i actually figured out these things for myself i've noticed the huge difference it truly makes. i've made an conscious effort this month to dress according to my season and i'm shocked at how much better it makes me look.
nettle tea;
i initially bought this to help with some water retention in my face and while it definitely did that i was way more impressed with some of the other effects it had. my hair feels and looks way healthier and shinier than it did before and it also helped with my acne.
taking supplements/vitamins;
on a similar not, i wish i'd known about how much this would improve my quality of life way too. i spent the entire winter exhausted and tired and all it took to make me feel better was multivitamins from the drugstore lmao.

馃寛 colour analysis 馃寛
what is colour analysis & how does it work:
colour analysis is used to determine someone's best colours. this can be useful for hair colours, clothes and makeup. there are 4 seasons (spring, summer, autumn and winter) with 3 subcategories each (bright, true, soft/muted). colour analysis is done by examining the hue, value and chroma of skin, hair and eyes of an individual.

methods & resources for finding out your personal colour palette:
the best & most accurate method is consulting a professional. however, if this isn't possible there are a few other options. all resources linked further down below!
colorwise.me -> website where you can upload a picture of yourself. fairly accurate in my personal opinion as long as you upload a picture in natural lighting with little to no makeup.
r/coloranalysis -> reddit community dedicated to help people figure out their colour palette
dear peachie -> youtuber who has a video on colour analysis
chat gpt -> don't know how accurate this is but i've seen people use this (tik tok tutorial down below)
important to note:
while this system can be helpful, it is important to remember that you should wear whatever makes you happy. you're supposed to feel confident and happy in your clothing regardless of wether it's in your best colours. it's also not 100% accurate all the time, especially since it doesn't really factor in people with a neutral undertone. not everyone fits perfectly into one singular season + not all colours of your season will look good on you and that's okay aswell!
