The casual way in which Kaia brought up being put in prison for murder caused Nikki to pause and stare at her for a moment before letting out a laugh. “Well had I known you’d be paying me a visit I would have been more prepared.” As she spoke, she went around the shop making sure everything was in order including the temperatures in the coolers were right so the cut flowers would stay overnight. “I don’t suppose you want to purchase any flowers?” She asked, with a giggle. “So what do you have in mind for tonight?”

Sometimes Kaia forgot she wasn’t in the presence of other criminals, she was used to it with the guys. But Nikki had to know she was some kind of criminal to be wearing the kutte she was. No one in the Devil’s was innocent be it before or after they joined. No ‘good person’ joined an M.C. “I could buy some if you’d like but I don’t think flowers really fit the aesthetic of the clubhouse.” Grinning she pulled out her phone to check the time, “Dinner? Or just drinks if you’re not hungry maybe?”

hale’s diner was practically a staple in charming. azra had been going there for as long as she could remember. when she was younger it had been with her family, as a teenager with her friends and now as an adult by herself. she had claimed a booth for herself and had decided to order some chocolate chip waffles with extra whip cream. that with a cup of coffee even if it was later in the day. her schedule meant she was usually up all hours of the night and slept in till mid day. at first she had only decided to go there because she was starving. that was before her gaze had landed on the cook. she had pulled out a sketch pad and found herself beginning to draw him. her movement was fluid as she dragged the pencil along the paper. only stopping once in a while to take a sip of her coffee. hours had passed and she was so lost in what she was doing. at least till she realized someone had approached the table. she didn’t look away from the paper and bit down on her lip,” do you need the table? i mean, there are plenty that are open.”

After working all day Kaia had decided going home and cooking wasn’t what she wanted to do today. She’d been woken up at 5am and hadn’t had a break since, Hale’s was the best option for that and the fact that it would be a little quieter now didn’t hurt. Usually the blonde loved attention but right now she just wanted to relax and be alone. Kaia hadn’t realized she’d been staring at the woman’s drawing until she spoke. “Oh. Sorry, I was just looking.” She let out an easy laugh, “Wasn’t trying to bother you.”

It wasn’t uncommon for fights to break out around here. Charming was full of hotheaded people, it was bound to happen. What Mateo wasn’t expecting was to watch two guys just trying to slap the shit out of each other. “Are you seeing this too or am I going nuts?” He asked as he looked at the two heated men, wondering if he should break it up. “That’s a new approach that I’ve never seen before. I’m thinking they’re either really drink or just really bad at fighting.”

“You mean you’re not enjoying this?” Kaia smirked as she watched the pair of men slap at each other. Hoopers wasn’t usually a place that they frequented but she’d been feeling like blowing money and the drinks were a little fancier here. “Imagine they tried to start a fight like this at La Luna when we’re all there. I’d pay to see that.”

                   "Don’t you dare. I can’t get all riled up in here. It’s too constricted.” Jessica smirked upon the blonde’s suggestion, and almost immediately, she was grabbing the gin to mix together the perfect concoction for a negroni, moving quick and skillful like she was crafted to make a perfect drink. When, in fact, it was more meant for a patient’s room. “Coming right up.”

“I could take you to the dance floor and we can start a fight there.” She winked, “Plenty of room there.” That would get her kicked out before anyone else, but it would possibly be worth it all things considered. Kaia watched her make the drink, “So tell me what is it that you’re making me?”

The hair on the back of her neck prickled when Kaia approached. The surge of anger within her rose like a dragon awaking from slumber and her hand slightly twitched towards the holster of her gun. No. Not now. Not here. “Don’t piss me off or give me an excuse to cuff you then yeah, sure, we’ll be lovely.” she replied, tone dripping in sarcasm.

“I’m here for food, I don’t even have a weapon.” That was a lie and she knew Tabitha would know that too. It wasn’t really legal but if she decided to arrest people for owning illegal firearms in Charming she’d never be able to stop. “I’m on my best behavior!”

Nikki was nearing the end of her shift and there hadn’t been much foot traffic all day so she decided she could take the chance to get the back organized for a shipment they had coming. She had just finished up when she heard the bell at the entrance go off. She called out that she would be right with the guest and a wide smile appeared on her face when she heard the familiar voice. She exited the back and greeted Kaia with a smirk, “Well I’d hate to get my first angry customer. Though I’m sure you’ve heard that patience is a virtue.”

“I’ve never been known for patience.” She smiled when Nikki came into the front, “Part of the reason I spent six years in prison.” The blonde made a face, “That and murder.” It was justified in her eyes, and the fact that she was sentenced to 10 and only served 6 so at least some people also agreed with her. “But for you I suppose I can wait.”

                    “Look at you. One glance and you already know me so well. You deserve a stiffy for that one.” Jess winked toward the blonde before grabbing a tumblr and spinning it around in her hand, giving her an opening to request whatever the hell she wanted.

“I’m almost tempted to cause some trouble for you, that sounds fun to see.” Kaia was a huge flirt and by now that was known. “You know what make me your favorite, I’m used to straight whiskey and I’m feeling adventurous.”

Kaia just got back from a run and needed a break, she sent a text to Marcus making sure he knew that she was good before she headed to see Nikki. Pulling her bike up to the flower shop she walked inside, the other woman was in the back, she heard her say she’d be in the front in a few minutes. Letting out a laugh Kaia looked at one of the lilies, “I hate to be kept waiting, I might turn into an angry customer.” @nikkistevens​

“On a scale of fluffy bunnies to fucking furious, how mad are you still about what happened at that town shooting?” He asked as he nursed his beer, turning towards the poor soul that had the unluckiness of being next to him during this fine night he decided to drink himself to a stupor his brain needs just to have a good night’s sleep. Without waiting for an answer, he barged on with his own thoughts. “Because sometimes, I can sit here and actually have a good time. Sometimes I don’t even fucking think about it, you know? Like it’s so easy to just forget about it happening. Then that guilt just starts dropping in all unwelcome, kinda making me feel like we all don’t deserve to be happy when that shit happened right here in this town,” Cliff admitted with a shake of his head, remembering himself, remembering where he was and why he wanted to drink in the first place. This was NOT how he wanted his night to go. Slapping his hand on the bar, more to wake himself up than anything, he turned back towards the other with a mischievous grin. “You think I’m full of shit or what?”

She was running late to meet Cliff for drinks today, she’d had to deal with someone fucking up her bike and that meant she had to fix it herself. When she walked in she spotted him at the bar, someone sitting next to him watching him talk. Since the shooting everyone had changed a little, Cliff wasn’t immune to that. Walking up to him she put her hands on his shoulders, “You’re scaring your new friend.” she patted his shoulders and winked at him, “If you’re not careful people might start to think you’re more than just big muscles and a pretty face.”

“Here’s the issue. I get forty five golden minutes of alone time every day. That’s forty five minutes of me not having to deal with anything work related nor speak to people. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure it’s a genuine concern or problem you want to ask about but unless it’s life or death, pass it to a beat cop and let me enjoy my personal time and this extremely needed food.” who even was she now? How long had it been since she actually felt genuinely concerned for members of the public. When did she last take the time to actually listen to people or have a general conversation. Hell, even laugh. Was this who she was now? So full of hatred and anger that she just didn’t care? “Fuck…” she muttered as the person walked away, the tendrils of guilt beginning to swirl in her stomach as she ran a hand over her eyes before shoving her badge, currently placed on the table into her pocket to avoid any more interruptions. 

Kaia was just here to get some food, she wasn’t looking for any excitement today. She was actually tired right now, she had to deal with some prospect fucking up on her bike and someone had to stop her from beating the shit out of him. So that meant when she showed up and saw Tabitha sitting at a table she rolled her eyes, the last thing she wanted was to deal with a cop. Sometimes they got uppity and tried to arrest people for no reason. When the other woman noticed her Kaia smiled, “I come in peace. If you want to pretend you don’t see me we’ll be lovely.”

Kaia knew it wasn’t exactly normal for one of the Devil’s to be at Rendezvous but she was an exception. As much as she loved her Devil’s there was a striking lack of women there and she needed a break from that sometimes. This was the best place to do that aside from Mayhem and well she was only looking for a drink. “Oh trust me that was nothing. I think you could really pull out the claws if you wanted.”

BIO

Kaia was born in Chicago and knew she was a lesbian from a very young age. Her parents were very religious so it was something she kept to herself. She knew better than to say anything to anyone.

She had the best private schools, she had the best of everything but she was never happy. Kaia was rebellious in her own ways but she was always quiet about it. A few petty things that rich kids always got away with no matter what. Her troubles were petty stealing or some graffiti that didn’t really mean anything.

She didn’t get into any real trouble until her junior year of high school. She was caught kissing another girl and her parents were told. Her father was furious about it and for her senior year of high school was spent at a catholic school.

When she graduated High School she spent two awful years at college before her father came to her with a proposal. An actual proposal. She was 20 years old and going to be married to a 50 year old man who was giving his father money and power to be connected to them. It was a beautiful ceremony and she hated every second of it. She was being married to a man who hated her, a man she’d never feel anything for.

For five years she was miserable. Everything she did was controlled by him, the only freedom she had was being able to graduate with her business degree. Aside from that it was just the pain she had, the parts of her that hated everything that she was trapped in.

It got to a turning point one night when her husband got drunk and was particularly rough with her. She was tired of it, before she could control herself she was grabbing a knife.

Kaia was sentenced to 10 years in prison for murdering her husband. Her sentence lighter because the jury saw her as a murderer but an abused one. 6 years into her sentence she was granted parole and after her probation ended she stole her husbands bike and left for California.

On her way to the coast she ran into a shootout with a set of bikers. One man was on the ground and bleeding, she picked up the gun and the man and started shooting at the guys who were shooting at them. And now at her.

She saved his life and ended up becoming the first woman to join the devils disciples mc. As a prospect it was hard but getting her patches was better than anything she could have imagined. She had a family who cared for her, who didn’t care what she’d done in the past.

She works hard for her position and would do anything for the M.C. She’s worked her way up to treasurer and loves every part of it.

CONNECTIONS:

her prospect: this would probably be another woman, she wants other women to join the club. she wants more women to join who have potential to be like she is. she’d be extra hard on this person because what they do reflects on her.

a cop who she’s on rough terms with: she’s got one person who knows she’s a murderer and knows she’s been doing more criminal activity realistically but they can’t really pin anything on her.
