For this field work assignment I decided to do is the story of my immigrant friend who is from El Salvador my friend and his two little siblings and his mom came from El Salvador to Atlanta in 2009 The reason why they decided to immigrate from El Salvador is because they thought life in America would be much easier especially since they have young children and they also had family members that lived in Georgia my friend told me that the process was very long but they knew it was something that they wanted to do part of them wanted to come to America but part of them knew that they would miss their families in El Salvador after they moved here finding a job was very hard finding jobs for their parents was very hard because their parents were not legal citizens so money was coming in very slow it was like that for a while and when my friend was old enough to work he had to get a job as well to help his parents with the household in so they could have a little extra money that was very hard for him also because not only was he working very hard to help his parents and his siblings but he was also in school it took years and years for his parents to become legal citizens of the United States but they have finally done so and now they have started their own business as a family and things are doing just fine

Cocoa, milk chocolate, sugar soy , corn syrup, peanuts, skim milk, lactose, Salt, egg, Caramel, and artificial flavor are all ingredients for a snickers
It is made by Mars, Inc. in New Jersey, U.S.A., but the ingredients come from all around the “Americas.”
For Snickers, that basic recipe is a nougat base made with egg whites, sugar and vanilla (a mixture Mars called "frap"). Then, freshly roasted peanuts are covered in caramel. The caramel mixture is layered on top of the nougat then machines cut the mixture into long, thin bars.
Cocoa in snickers mainly come from the content of Africa and snickers is apart of a company called MARS and they work hard to produce healthy safe environments for their workers in other countries
After the harvest, the ripe pods need to be cut open with machetes and the beans are taken out. The cocoa beans then need to be fermented, dried, cleaned and packed. When the beans are packed into cocoa sacks, the farmers are ready to sell the product to intermediaries.
Many commodities are used to manufacture chocolate, and the key ingredient is cocoa. ... The prices of these commodities are driven, for the most part, by the commodities market, which sets the price based on supply and demand levels and can result in varying levels of volatility on commodity prices.
MARS, Ferrero, Mondelez international
In the United States, chocolate is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Cacao products regulations are contained within 21 C.F.R.
Throughout history, chocolate has been marketed differently to different consumer types. Some companies like to show their customers that their chocolate has the most weight, by using digital scales and then showing what the price computing scales read on the actual package label
I bought my chocolate bar from Walmart
For more ordinary chocolate, expect to charge around $7 to $10 per pound. If you add special occasion packaging, tack on an additional 10% to the price. As a storeowner, you will enjoy profit margins between 55 to 75%. Your total profit for a year will depend entirely on the volume and type of product you sell
My snickers bar main ingredient is cocoa and it came from Africa but all the rest of my Snickers ingredients came from the Americas it came from all over basically so to my the snickers bar is very international. After the cocoa was shipped to America it was then incorporated into making my snickers after all the ingredients were added it was completely made packaged and distributed all around America.

For this I used my old neighborhood in Douglasville GA, I used this because it is somewhere I am most familiar with and somewhere I can remember like the back of my hand since I lived there for 9 years. In my neighborhood I had tennis courts a pool, and a basketball court. Looking back at pictures I not like a lot of little sheds where people kept their gardening things that I had never really noticed before. I feel as if since COVID not many people have been out like Kid wise my neighborhood had a lot of children in it and I feel since COVID they have not been able ti play together and I am sure that the pool and the tennis and basketball courts have not been open for some time

After completing this assignment I realize that there are a lot of things that I own that Is more so a want then I need. there are many more things that I could have added to my list but 90% of my list would be all wants. I feel like if I focused more on the things that I need more so than the things that I want I would have saved so much more money and I would still be continuing to save so much money. I feel like people as a whole usually tend to spend more money on the things that they want more than the things that they need.

My FieldWork Assignment:
The object I decided to choose for this assignment is my TV. I Just bought this TV because I have recently moved into my new apartment my dad and I had decided to go get it from Walmart together . The type of TV I decided to purchase is from a brand called Roku. Roku is a company based in San Jose California and was developed in the year of 2008 so it is a fairly new company. Tv has many impacts on people lives around the world, television is how we receive our information for example, the news, I for one am a person who gets up and watches the news daily so I can find out more about the things going on around me. Tv is a form of communication that has been around for many years. Television is also a way people can obtain education from things like documentaries and political events. These things are huge impacts on people’s lives as well as mine. I usually don’t watch TV as often as I did when I was younger but the impact that tv has on my life now is it entertains me especially during COVID being that we can’t really go many places, and it also informs me I believe those are the two biggest impacts it has on my life at the moment. Roku is a company that streams all over the world but Roku is manufactured is San Jose California. The company hires people from all over even though their headquarters are located in California. After doing my research on Roku and how the company goes about treating their workers I would Say life for them working at Roku is fairly nice, I saw a out of great reviews from workers expressing how they love their job and how the company treats them with the upmost respect! #msuanthropology #makinganunfamiliarfamiliar
