Ah I see okay makes sense with the cons being the big meat and strongest proud warrior conquering race, okay makes a lot of sense. But at the same time they stripped mine entire planets?! OK that’s a bit much. How do the cons even have the ability to do that?

Also, those alien races you mentioned so one of them is completely wiped out OK. Are you allowed to tell us how that happen. Or is that spoilers? Also, the other one is basically a roaming civilization in a space fleet. Oh that’s gotta hurt so I want a scale of one to ten, the one being we have succeeded in surviving the Decepticon’s….with much of our civilization in tact. And 10 being we have basically lost everything but our lives. How badly did the now space faring civilization lose?

Also, those are about fortress world’s and their strategies. That actually sounds like a pretty good strategy. But I cannot help but wonder if there strategy mostly revolves around defense, doesn’t that mean that the cons can in fact punch through if they have enough fire power?

Hey so is there any new kind of info about the All-Soarks universe you made that we can know about that isn’t spoilers?

Like what’s Megatron and his forces up to before the cons and bots find earth.

What’s the current status of the Autobot’s forces? Do the cons really control all of Cybertron? Are there any aliens who are fighting against the Decepticons?

Will there be any other Cybertroian villains other the cons? Like The Fallen? Or is that big spoiler stuff?

Some of these questions I CAN answer!

Megatron and his forces are just straight up conquerors and destroyers, though Megs in particular likes just straight up crushing or humiliating forces that consider themselves "proud warriors" or "warrior cultures" like the Ejoornians and Femaxians. While Femax still lives in on with its people and fleet, the Ejoornians are pretty much wiped out. When Megatron conquers a world, it's either to convert it to a base of operations for assault deployment or to strip mine down to the core to fuel the Decepticon war machine, and the Decepticon war machine in particular is very feared in the wider galaxy. They are well known to be the fiercest and most unrelenting warriors period in all the galaxy.

Autobot forces are primarily centered on various clusters of worlds connected by space bridge technology. These worlds are known as "Fortress Worlds" as they are both the main hubs of command as well as bases of operations for defensive deployment. As the Decepticons are much more aggressive than the Autobots, the current strategy among Autobot command is one of entrenchment and working with allied aliens. So while the Decepticons have a numerical advantage, they're not having much luck taking Autobot space because wherever Autobots set up a defensive position, they WILL make Decepticons bleed their energon dry.

The Fallen is NOT going to be a villain for sure. All I can share for now about Megatronus is that he's known by both his name AND his title as The Fallen, as he's primarilly a lesson on how you can be the pinnacle of something, fall to despair, but can again be picked right back up with those who support you (in this case, Solus was the one who helped Megatronus get back on his feet).

Okay makes sense. But at the same time I cannot help but wonder what Minicup can steal from Astrid, and what she can do to be his annoying big sister?

Like is there anything that Astrid really treasures? And how would Astrid be anything to Mini?

So I kinda have a question that I wanna ask but never got around to ask before I kinda stop keeping up with your story httyd half brothers au and you in general. Wickedcriminal!

How Minicuo takes Astrid and his brother getting together. That has to be a major form of drama for Mini.

As suddenly his brother is in a relationship by the end of the first moive aka, book 1, and then that becomes a more permanent thing come the end of Race to the Edge. With Elder and Astrid becoming boyfriend and girlfriend respectively. There is no way this doesn’t complicate the hiccups brotherly relationship in at least some capacity.

As well as ensure that Astrid forever joins in with their shenanigans.

Not important, but I actually made a slight change to their relationship development in that Astrid and Elder Hiccup don't kiss in the first movie, only start developing crushes and becoming proper friends! Their crushes would become more apparent as time went on, and then their kiss in Race to the Edge would have been their first kiss. Not that big of a change at all, just makes their relationship more of a slowburn hehe

Minicup and Astrid don't generally get in the way of each other when it comes to Hiccup, mostly because Hiccup and Minicup were actually never close until now. It took all the way up until the first movie for them to even start enjoying each other's company. Mini's bond with Hiccup is relatively new compared to Little Fishlegs and even their father.

So Minicup isn't all that bothered by Hiccup having friends other than him, Astrid being a part of that. And Hiccup's friends become pretty close with him, too, because he becomes an integral part of the Dragon Riders. Other than it being slightly annoying that Hiccup and Astrid run off alone sometimes, Minicup is just happy that Hiccup is happy.

Astrid and Minicup's relationship is pretty good, too. She finds great glee in being his brand new annoying big sister and he likes having an excuse to steal her stuff

Okay so basically, the Autobots are essentially just trying to set up a base, some outposts and a more permanent place of residence on earth without attracting the local human civilization’s attention, or the attention of the Deceptions.

But of course the cons arrive and from there the earth war begins. But, slowly but surely the humans and Joe Colton ultimate discovers them and the Joe’s and the rest of mankind get involved. And then the war really takes off? Is that what you’re saying?

Hey so n the All-Sparks au, how does the arrival of the transformers go down? Like do they arrive and then they start fighting right away? Attracting the attention of the retired joes and other human related factions?

Or is it instead a slow build up to the inevitable escalation and open public warfare. With the cons attacking both the bots, their human allies, and the world in general to conquer it?

Or am I all wrong and the war is just wages out in the open and all of humanity knows right off the bat about the two warring alien powers that have come to earth?

BIG apologies for the late reply, went through a major depressive episode!

Non-spoilery stuff, the arrival of the Transformers is a slow gradual game of reconnaissance, establishing themselves in human territory, and from the Autobot's perspective, praying to Primus that the Decepticons haven't arrived yet... but that's of course a false hope.

It's a slow build up, and if there are going to be battles, it's going to be clandestine as much as possible, but no matter how clandestine, human attention WILL come.

Eventually the Autobots WILL get noticed by human intelligence services, because whatever happens in the world, sooner or later, a man named Joe Colton will find out about it.

And after that... you bet that Autobot vs Decepticon WILL escalate to a far bigger scale.

Hello again Wickedcriminal. Sorry it’s been so long but life had been busy and very demanding for me. But at last I have return to see how my favorite httyd fic is doing!

Yeah, I do hope that the progress on the thick itself like the actual fact that you’re writing based around all of these posts is coming along smoothly!

That being said I am kinda surprised at Cami’s status during Race to the Edge. I mean I know for a fact she was friends and a loyal buddy to hiccup in the books. But she wasn’t a full on member of the hiccups team till towards the last few books. I just wasn’t expecting that to transition over here to the half brothers au!

Also, she’s a part-time dragon rider? OK, that’s new how that come about? And how come? Like why? I mean she probably get to steal and rob a lot of dragon hunters and more, if she was a full time rider? Imagine how big a threat she’d be to the hunters economy!

Also she gets kidnapped again alongside her buddies Minicup, and little Fish…again. Seriously what time is that? I don’t remember how many times you said younger would be kidnapped. Over the course of the fics story. Nor did you ever say how many times Cami and little fish would get kidnapped.

Anyway they are kidnapped(again!) and go on a nice little super dangerous trip to America. How badly did elder and the others freak out when that happen? Or were they just disappointed that it happens again?

Also she does get put in that tree prison like in the finale? Does she have a breakdown like she did in canon cause she’s a thief…and she got caught? 

Okay now the part with Elder makes sense. Alvin is keeping him separate in order to force the hooligans to bend the knee to him for fear of what happens to their leader should they disobey him. Okay now that is really dark. Like the tribe that our half brother protagonists are sort of now have to do whatever this cruel, violent and spindly man wants.

Because of a simply slavemark, and he’s holding their chief(and his girlfriendAstrid, and the other riders save Snot the spy)hostage. To top it all off Elder is being forced to use his skills in the forge were he once. Built things to better Vikings life’s and help dragons. Now forced to build and construct the very dragon killings weapons he despises. Alvin truly has a twisted sense of humor.

That being said where are the other riders being kept?

I see that there been a resurgence of my favorite HTTYD AU Half brothers. So I thought might as well get a few questions of my own in.

So we know that the au combined the worlds of the books and the films, and shows together. So that being said what does Cami end up doing during the race to the edge book 8? Arc of the story? Is she still with her little group of the younger kids led by Younger? Or is she a full-time member of the dragon riders? Little hiccups riders?

Also so we now know that the other diets are taken prisoner along with Elder…but they’re separate? Why? That doesn’t make a lot of sense I mean it wouldn’t it be more effective for Alvin and his faction to have them close but not too close to Elder to use as a form of addition leverage against him?

During Race to the Edge, Camicazi is a Wingmaiden, since they're actually a branch of dragon riders formed by the Bog-Burglars! She comes to the Edge here and there to visit, and is a Dragon Rider part time. She gets kidnapped along with Minicup and Little Fish for the trip to America (book 7), and she gets put in a tree prison for a minute during the finale (book 8).

Elder is leverage during their time at the Amber Slavelands, yes. It's why Alvin separated him from the Riders and keeps him in a forge, where he makes weapons for the Alvinsmen. It's so Alvin can keep an eye on him, and so Elder is cut off from his tribe. As long as the Riders don't know where Elder is, (and the other Hooligans don't know where their chief is), anything can happen to him, so they stay compliant.

Yay more lore on TFP Sparkplug!? She’s got a very interesting origin story and character arc too.

So Starcream’s the one who causes her to meet her other parent…as well as causes her to come into the care of bots, huh, well that’s totally not going to come back and haunt him, when both sides find out how Sparky really ended up alone on earth.

Also he did it cause he was being replaced is a good motive, but he really shouldn’t have done that, wonder what will happen to him since he tried to off Sparkplug? Will he even make it to RID timeframe in one piece? Considering how mad Megs and Op would be at him for pulling a stunt like this?

Also he gets more control for a while? Control of what the Decepticons on earth? Okay how does that work? Like is Meg’s first objective to find Sparkplug after he revives himself instead of taking back control of the Nemesis?

Also when did Scream kicks Sparkplug off The Nemesis? Like was it early in the TFP show like during rising darkness during the Autobot’s attack, to rescue Fowler? Or was it later?

So Acree does indeed find her, and out of survivors guilt takes her back to the Autobots base? Um okay, what survivors guilt? Cause it must really be bad if the guilt is only triggered by seeing a sparkling? Plus what are the others reactions to seeing Acree just come back to HQ with a baby? Also Ratchet was the one at the base who found out after her, and didn’t want to help Sparkplug!?! What why? She’s a baby and technically Optimus’s his best friends, kid for crying out loud why would he not want to help her?

But eventually it seems she does get him to open up and even becomes attached to him, as well as Jacks mom? Okay? How’s that happen? Like I get it if she only forms an attachment to June if she’s the one who care for her a lot at first…till the other bots, and kids figure out how to help care for her. But that seems a bit specific it Junes case.

Also Sparkplug wants to a medic, okay, that a bit different compared to her other versions why does she want the job she’s given in the other universe here tho?

Also she’s destructive…alright that doesn’t seems to bad, she can’t be as bad as the severed Vehicon head suggests right?

The kids reactions are all spot on, though I do question why Jack is upset that he has baby sitting duties? That should be easy? Plus Raft is happy he’s a part of the older kids club now! Is precious, even if the youngest in question is a sparkling.

Okay so her older self appears in “Robots in Disguise” makes sense, but now that is confirmed how did she just to losing her main father figure after the events of Predacons rising?

Leading into the events of the Dinobots:beast hunters comic, and then the events of Robots in disguise Proper! Cause we know that theirs no way that the secret Decepticons who rule Cybertron as the high council, don’t try and control or get their hands on Sparkplug to use as a puppet in some capacity, which would explain her being around on earth again, she saw an opportunity to escape and she took it! Which explains why she would be their on earth, to glare at Bee to get his shit together, as well as contributing to the defeat of the Deception high council. As well as the escaped prisoners, and crimes gangs on earth.

So Nightflyer is one of the animal themed cons in this universe okay, but he’s a Predacon? He’s trained under Starscream, as well? How does that work? Also does he still have a crush on Sparkplug? And get in trouble form both sides for it?

Also Soundblasters a what clone? Experiment, creation to replace Soundwave? Okay, how did the cons even make him then?

Okay so since we know that a TFP version of Sparkplug exists…that got my inner Prime fan, brain thinking, and I sudden had some questions regarding Sparkplug Prime.

So like how did the bots even discover her, like was she really dramatically unveiled by Megs? Or was it more of an accident, and they found her during a big fight? Cause she was still fairly young into of the images we saw her, while her more mature, form seems to be hinting at her future.

Plus did the bits really take her back to their base? Cause if Acree is comparing her stare with one of her dads, then I assume Team Prime does ‘capture’ her, and brings her back to outpost omega one. But that raises even more questions…

Like how do the rest of the hits react to her? I assume Acree is going to be very protective of her seeing how she’s the one holding her? What are the Kids and Folwer(and by extension his bosses the U.S government) reactions cause the bots can’t exactly hide a Sparkling meant to be the ultimate Optimus killer.

Plus since we know that Sparkplug is a member of a trio, does that mean a version of her friend’s Soundblaster, and Nightflyer exits?

Someone wanted to know more about her, and I felt like drawing her so why not. I image she ended up in the hands of the autobots because of Starscream. He saw how much Megatron fussed over her and immediately knew his ass was about to be replaced. Seeing an easy target to dispatch, he literally just kicked her out the ship during a battle and said the autobots must’ve dispatched her.

Megatron is obviously heartbroken and Starscream uses this to get a little bit more control for the time being.

Meanwhile, Arcee finds this little sparking in the middle of nowhere and due to survivors guilt, takes her back to the base.

Due to her intense power, they decide to take her in and hopefully raise her to be kind. This all being while Megatron still tries to look for her (I image he takes her when Megatron steals Optimus prime). She ends up getting rather attached to Jack’s mom, as well as Ratchet. This Sparkplug actually wants to be a medic and does her best to help… even if she’s a little destructive.

Miko loves her, seeing her as a little destructive creature with good intentions. Jack is more upset that he’s getting suck with babysitting duties. And Raph is happy to not be the youngest anymore.

I image her older version would appear in “Robots in disguise”, showing up to glare at bumblebee and force him to get his shit together instead of Optimus. (My version Optimus stays gone because we want Bee to have proper character development)

Nightflyer would probably be one of the animal themed deceptions that trained under Starscream, starting in his predicon form.

Soundblaster would probably still be a attempt to make another Soundwave since he’s still trapped in the fucking shadow realm

Also what you mean ‘Now to go find the twins’? What have they been doing all this time Elder has had to pretend to be Harold? Also was he watching his little brother get imprisoned and all the other things that happened to him during this book? Before they escape and encounter the Doomfang again?

Okay now this answers some of my questions regarding who gets kidnapped more often so Elders in the lead but what about the others who are the hiccups, what about the thier friends, Astrid, Camicazi, the Fishlegs, etc, how many times have they been abducted?

As well as what was the most embarrassing time they were abducted, cause the Half brothers AU has one elements from the books, mainly the funny moments, so I’d like to think that their were some abductions that the other kids had to endure they no one would let them forget. Cause to them it was hilarious!

Hey, again, wickedcriminal, I see that the half brother au posts have returned and I am so happy I was going through withdrawal I had to reread all my how to train your Dragon books in order to pass the time. I also wanted to thank you for inspiring me to reread them. The books were so much darker and better than the movies. I would be able to finish all of them if I had them ALL!?! Seriously I have books 1-8. I have trying to get the final ones but my local book stores never have them in stock! Though seriously, I wanted to thank you for posting such an amazing little alternate universe story, I cannot wait for your story to start getting some more attention, and your book based of it to start I will be their to start reading it as soon as it comes.

I would like to go onto my asks now, as with the new law that I’ve recently seen I’ve had a couple of questions that I now have, so if if the twins are keeping a score of how many times one the kids get kidnapped doesn’t that mean that all of them have been abducted at some point? Also what are those situations even like cause if the twins are keeping score than Elder and Youngers friends must have some pretty memorable abduction stories they have to talk about. Wonder who has it worse?

The Twins keeping score is hilarious, and I'm sure all of the Riders have gotten their fair share of snatching at some point, with the Twins keeping a nice little tally board on the wall of the clubhouse and the Hiccup brothers are in the lead by a LANDSLIDE 😂 what can they say, they're just very kidnappable ASDHKLSGK

As for who gets kidnapped more; that's a great question! They've both been kidnapped by plenty of people ever since they were kids and all through the canon. The Danger-Brutes, the Romans, the Hysterics, the Berserks (especially when Dagur became chief), and eventually the Dragon Hunters (who are the Lava Louts in this au) all capture and hold the boys prisoner/hostage/ransom multiple times. It's easy to say they probably lost count.

But when it comes to getting snatched by their personal enemies, there is a winner!

Hiccup E has a nice little group of people that want to snatch him and have snatched him multiple times, including Madguts the Murderous (taking the place of TV Alvin in R/DOB and snatching him and Toothless several times), Viggo and Ryker (both separately several times in RTTE), and Krogan (Midnight Scrum in RTTE).

Hiccup Y has a smaller roster by only one person, which includes Dagur (taking Younger instead of Gustav in RTTE), Alvin the Treacherous (the 2nd and 3rd books in R/DOB and the 8th book in RTTE), and Norbert the Nutjob (book 7 in in RTTE).

So its looking like the contest for the most kidnappings goes to Hiccup the Elder!!! 🎉🎉 Someone get that boy a prize!!

Oh boy…I know the Monsterverse is going in a silly direction at the moment. But this is bad…we had an Oscar win not that long ago, and now we are getting a flop? Is that what the hollow earth saga has been building too? We still have so much to do in this universe mainly have a certain micro oxygen, crab and a beast born of the stars come back to our screens for the Hollywood edition.

Let’s make sure the Film does at least good enough to warrant another sequel, raise the alarms let get all those Minus one fans on board so we can keep the two film version going for while.

Alright the fated meeting of eternal rivals, seriously I did know we needs more interactions with the movie gang and the books and generally the franchises greatest dirtbag till now. Seriously cannot wait for more interactions with Alvin and other characters in the half brothers au. That being said I do have to ask some questions that this post raises.

First so since Alvin did realize that Younger is the one destiny insists be the heir to Grimbeard he’s completely nice towards him… at first? But then once we arrive to the scene with the Romans and Alvin showing his true colors but is focused instead on Elder and the tribe, actually who did come with little fish,Younger and Stoick? Did all the able body warriors and named characters, and elders crew come along or did the whole tribe grab their gear and came like in the books dragons included?

Also since Alvin after the second books events established himself as the greater narrative villain going forward. What about the other villains, and big tribes or civilization of humans like the Romans, how does Alvin and his early shenanigans affect the villains from the movieverse?

Also since Alvin seems aggressive(covering up his I want to kill you way of living) towards elder how does he react and respond to him? Not to mention Astrid and what she thought of Alvin at first, then her the other berkians find out about his true colors.

Also since Alvin taught younger some swordplay at first, does that mean in the half brother au their rivalry becomes o much more personal? If so how intense are the fights uncovering Alvin probably Ben more crazy than what the book describes, with the Hooligans fighting for their freedom against the romans, and Alvin, the dragon probably helped make it so much easier for them. As well as show the Romans how good it would be to train and enslave dragons in the barbaric archipelago.

Also what did the other kids think of Alvin?

Oaky this answers a lot of questions that I had concerning the timeline and how the books events would be incorporated into the movie-verse. I also really like how your giving book characters like Madguts the Murderous and Gumboil more time to shine, I really wonder how his capture of Heather differed to how it happened in canon?

Also since Valhallarama is present in Elders life how does she react in the events of the first movie cause you haven’t made art showcasing that major missing plot point that could…inspire her to go on her quest? Also did she help super say during the events of the first movie with both Hiccups or did she just focus on elder which world make sense of the one art piece of both mothers saying could they start over.

Also the book dragons and the Flim dragons could actually exist in the same universe, as since we know that in some cases in gigantism with the tidal class and alpha dragons, while the nano dragons and the smaller book dragons could dragons form their species effected by dwarfism a real world phenomenon.

I do however like the dragons from the flim verse how only appeared in mobile games and other meida getting a chance to really have a greater role in the series.

Also I have question that I realized you never answered how does Madguts and his tribe get around the Doomfang to fulfill the role of show Alvin, and the outcasts? And how does his actions effective Berk? Cause he has to first get around the big sick sea dragon in the first place!

Also wonderful answer and tieing the books and films/shows together that just leaves one question, the school of dragon and comic events how do they tie into the universe?

Okay so we know the the half brothers au is going to incorporate the books plots into the flim verse but how exactly will Heather be introduced in universe will we have little tease at Thor’s Thursday? Or will their their be something else oh and how will little hiccup’s crew(him, little toothless, little Fishlegs Camicazi can’t show up till the events of books 3)

Also how would the book crew impact the start of Riders of Berk? General?

Books 1-3 happen during Riders, and 4-5 during Defenders, and Heather shows up in episode 10 of Riders, so I figure she'll show up in between books 2 and 3!

Basically, I've made each book an 'episode' of the tv series. The Thor'sday Thursday festival from book one, with the Meatheads coming to Berk and the Green and Purple Deaths showing up, would happen between Riders episodes 4 and 5.

The book crew changes the episodes up a bit since Younger can talk to dragons, and Little Fishlegs will have an overarching plot about finding out who his parents are. There's also the presence of Valhallarama, who is a mother figure in Elder's life, which he didn't have in the movies. Multiple dragon species from the series and the books overlap in interesting ways that I'm playing with, such as the sand wraiths from Race to the Edge and the Amber Slavelands Monster. But that's a whole other tangent 😉

After episode 5 would be book 2, where Alvin shows up and the Grimbeard's treasure plot happens. So on, so forth. I want to post a more comprehensive timeline at some point, I've been giving it a lot of thought! :D

(As for Riders episode 6 and the plot that comes with it:

TV Alvin and Savage have been swapped out with Madguts the Murderous and Gumboil. I was thinking that giving characters from the books some TV stories would help the universes come together more smoothly!)
