Here I am again, making another silly post about Star Trek. (Sorry, but I already explained that they've become my focus these days, especially Spirk). I'm going to make a few observations about some episodes from the third season that don't get much attention and maybe aren't really anything special. Sometimes I see things that aren't there. Sorry again, and feel free to correct me.
Here we go. In the androids episode, when McCoy gives Spock that speech about love, he mentions, among other things, the risks taken and the rules broken. After that, Spock makes Kirk forget about the girl who died. Doesn't that break any rules? Taking someone's memories without asking permission?
But I wanted to focus on two other episodes from season 3. 1- Wink of an eye: Spock drinks the alien water and risks his life to find Kirk with the antidote. Oh, it could be nothing. Just the First Officer wanting to help his captain. Totally logical, right? The other episode is "The Mark of Gideon." Kirk falls prey to a plan by the planet's people, and Spock tries at all costs to convince the governor there to descend to the planet, as well as to convince Starfleet to authorize it. However, despite the express prohibitions of both, he decides to defy orders and go after the Captain. Again, it could just be loyalty to the Captain, but I'm silly and prefer to see it in a more colorful way.
Well, as I say, feel free to correct me. And sorry again for the length of the text, but these two have stuck with me in a surprising way. Sorry again.

After finishing all three seasons of the original Star Trek (without watching the films or other series inspired by it), I'd like to share some of my thoughts (I apologize for focusing so much on this topic and also if this post gets too long, but this is the only place I can comment on it). So, here we go: first off, I really enjoyed the series, I became attached to the characters, especially Kirk, and I loved binge-watching it. However, there are a few things I'd like to point out. Some episodes are quite disposable, some ideas are repetitive. But that's not what I want to focus on.
What I wanted to highlight is that, in my opinion, some episodes didn't have a conclusion. I know it was the series' style to have standalone episodes, but I think some needed a continuation, or at least some extra scenes. Some examples: the Edith Keeler episode. It ended with them returning to the portal, and that was it. Did Kirk ever think about her again? The one about the tribe where he loses his memory? His pregnant wife dies, and that's it. And then what? How did he recover? Wasn't he traumatized? In the android's case, Spock made him forget. And then what? Did McCoy find out? Besides, there's the episode about Tarsus IV. It was a trauma for the Captain. Did it only last one chapter? And in the Tholian Web episode, it doesn't show Spock's reaction when they catch Kirk. They should have. In the episode about Kirk's brother's death, it ends with him making jokes. Did he never speak of his brother again? What happened to his nephew? Anyway, these are some stories that need continuation. But anyway, it's a good thing fanfics exist to complete or enhance the stories.
Apologies again for the length of the post.

I'm wondering when I get back from vacation. All my colleagues are describing trips and outings, and the only thing I have to talk about are the hundreds of fanfics I've read about the same couple falling in love over and over again.

I've come to a conclusion. If I'd lived in the '60s, I wouldn't have survived. Imagine having the chance to see Paul McCartney in the prime of his youth and beauty, and also following the adventures of the most handsome Captain in the galaxy. I'd be in a tizzy every day. What beautiful men, my God!

I can't believe I'm done with Star Trek. I'm going to miss my handsome, adorable captain so much. Okay, I know there are other movies and other versions, but it's not the same. I'm going to rewatch some episodes I liked. As I said before, the last few weren't very good, but there are some that are really worth watching. As I've also said, there are some pretty disposable episodes. But, all in all, it was definitely worth it.

Today I'll finish the third and final season of Star Trek. There are four episodes left. I'm not at all excited because I skipped a few episodes and left these ones out because they seem worse. The bad thing is, I've already watched several bad episodes this season. If these are worse... The truth is, I enjoyed the series, but some episodes were completely disposable. There are only a few that I'll watch again.

Iniciando minha segunda leitura das férias hoje. Escolhi Cartas na Mesa. Muito interessante. Tenho certeza que vou ser feita de trouxa de novo pela Agatha. Mas isso não é nenhuma novidade.

I keep watching Star Trek and I'm amazed at how most women fall in love with the Captain at first sight.
Like, they don't even know him well and they're already making out with him! No! That's not how it works. No!
It took me about 15... minutes to fall in love with him.

My problem is that when I have an obsession, it only heals when I get another one. I spent years addicted to Mclennon. Now, I've let go a little - very little - because of Spirk. Soon, I'll finish the marathon and I don't know how I'll feel. I'll go through withdrawal. And I'll need another ship to get rid of the madness. Worse still, I don't know if I'll be able to like another couple. I really need to find a real, proven one.
In fact, I need therapy, but I don't have the courage to go.

Today marks exactly 68 years since two young men from Liverpool, passionate about rock, left home, met and changed their lives completely, as well as changing the history of world music. Happy Mclennon Day to everyone!

It's amazing how three of my obsessions lately have James' name and are involved in ships that will never be confirmed.
James Paul McCartney
James "Bucky" Barnes
James T Kirk

A question for Spirk fans. What was the first scene or episode when you started to think there might be something (feelings) between them? That moment that changed everything. Another question: if there really was this feeling, when do you think it started, even if they didn't know it? Following the order of the episodes, do you think there was a moment when they fell in love or did it already happen before? Guide me here. I'd like to hear theories. Who fell in love first? Who realized it first? Send your theories. Thank you! (You can send private messages)

You know when life is boring when your focus is completely on a fictional ship that has never been confirmed. That's how I feel. 90% of the time I'm thinking about these two, reading fanfics, watching videos, looking for quotes. This is not normal. I'm lost! I don't know what will become of me. 😰😰

I've already said here that I'm addicted to Star Trek. I want to apologize if I only talk about this, but yesterday I watched the best episode so far: The Trouble with Tribbles. I can't stop laughing. So funny. There are so many epic moments. The fight in the mess hall, Scotty explaining the reason for the fight, the Tribbles multiplying and especially Kirk's reactions are wonderful. I know that everyone usually prefers Spock and I love him, but there's no way around it: Jim is my favorite. He's so intense, so complex. I love him so much and in this episode he really shined. Fantastic episode: 10/10

Como já falei, estou maratonando Jornada nas Estrelas. Só que eu não estou seguindo a ordem cronológica. Então, já assisti alguns episódios da terceira temporada e me incomodei bastante que mudaram a dublagem. (Sim. Tenho que assistir dublado.)
A primeira voz do Kirk era tão forte, tão enérgica, combina demais com ele. A segunda não tem nada a ver. Parece um jovem irresponsável falando. Tirou toda a personalidade dele. Me incomodei.
