My Time With Him
It started at work. We talked occasionally, once a week, maybe. That eventually led to conversations every day, during lunch and on break. Not too long after we started hanging out after work as well. Once in awhile we would stay in at my place and watch an old movie or something together. I didn’t realize how much I actually cared back then until recently, however.
After about a month of these ‘dates’ there came a day when it felt different. Not bad different, I just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was going on. That was when it happened. I was sitting quietly in my office and he walked in, dropped a slip of paper in front of me, and walked out without a word. As soon as I saw what was on it I almost broke into tears. I jumped from my seat and dashed to his office immediately.
“Is it true?” I asked with excitement. “Sure is,” he smiled. “We can leave whenever you want.”
Almost a week afterward we left. There were other passengers as well, but altogether only about 25 of us. The ships were small and traveling on them was a fairly new concept for us. Not long after embarking, about nine hours, we arrived. It was a magnificent sight, truly. The first night was wonderful and it was then when I realized we were more than friends. These thoughts had come to me before, of course, but I think I hadn’t fully accepted it until now. The trip was meant to last two weeks. Week one was amazing, we visited so many ancient monuments and buildings, along with several stretched of natural beauty.
Week two, however, was when things changed. Most of the people who came on the ship with us were dead, including the captain. The scientists back home told us the disease was clear and it was impossible to contract it, but they were wrong. On the first day of the second week, he inhibited the disease. I cried for hours, watching him inch towards death. Mortality rate was 100% so I knew nothing could be done to save him. On the third day of the second week he told me he wanted me to return home, alone. I couldn’t decide what to do. Part of me wanted so badly to escape this horrible place, and the other part me wished I could be sick instead of him. I waited another day and then made my choice. I will stay here with him. He asked me why, and this was the answer I gave.
“I regret coming on this trip so much, but I’m thankful I made the choice to do so. Without doing this I might not have learned what it truly means to live and love, and I thank you for the opportunity to have an experience such as this.”
On the sixth day of the second week, his heart stopped. That was four days ago. I am now writing to you to explain why I won’t be returning home. I’m apologize with a heavy heart, but I don’t want to risk bringing the disease with me, since I have been infected myself. My last request is that you don’t grieve my loss, it will only cause more pain in the end.
We never should have returned to Earth.

Childhood Memories
“I heard the gunshots, but it didn’t seem like any of the others did.”
That’s the way I explain it everytime I talk about it. Its a cruical moment. The moment when you go from your five man group of friends, to just you and a deaf kid.
It all started out with a group of friends who were doing what normal teenagers do. Although we were treading on military line. We were going to our normal, ‘hang out’ spot as lame as that sounds. But it’s true. There were these caverns, but you had to go through military zones to get there. But that’s not where it all goes down. Let me explain my friends though. First one was named Jack, normal kid nothing bad and wrong with him. Pretty smart to however. Don’t know how he got tangled up with us, but it happened. It just did. He was cool though. He was mostly into reading and doing all this other stuff. Good kid. Next we go on to the life of the group, Derrick. He was the funniest and most insane kid you knew. If something stupid was going on he was there. He was the one doing it most of the time. Just didn’t know when to stop. That’s the only bad thing about him. Sometimes it got him in trouble, but he didnt give a shit he still did. Then we have our friend Moses. He was the deaf one. He followed us because a had similar interests, gaming, dark jokes, that sort of thing. He shouldn’t of came that day. It was our first run in a couple months to there. It was a special occasion. My birthday. But I digress. Let me talk about the other one, and me. The fourth one was Isaac. Quiet kid, you’d call him a school shooter if you met him. He’s just a pretty not normal kid. Things were wrong with him. Mental stuff. He was usually sad and such, so we mostly banded toghether to help him. Some of that saddest went from personal stuff aswell. I’d rather not talk about that however. He also shouldn’t have been with us that day. I still have a photo from that day. We were so happy. It started out as a normal day, weekend so we all stayed at Isaacs house, before heading out. He lived the closest after all. We got our table top set all in a case ready, we said bye to his mom and made the trek. It was a decent walk to the spot where it wasn’t constantly watched by the guards. It was an break in the fence near the caverns. Maybe they saw us that day. Or they’ve always seen us. We got to the caverns and got our such set up. We were in the twentieth round and there was some noises I heard. I thought it was an animal walking around so i told my friends we needed to leave. They shrugged it off until it got louder. We quickly picked up our stuff and headed out to the exit of the cavern. There was around two towers in the distance of the caverns. I could’ve have sworn I saw lights. We were happy again, making our way. Then, I see Derrick drop. I heard the shot ring from a distance, then Isaac. After Isaac dropped my first instinct was to drop aswell, as I was laying down, I saw Jack fall down, motionless. Moses was beside me, he took on my instinct to fall. After the lights were gone, and I thought they were gone I motioned to Moses, let’s go. We crawled out entire way back, before getting to Isaacs house. We told his mom what happened and, we went to show them were they where. Long story cut short, they moved the bodies when we left. Another long story cut short, I was charged with the crimes, I was 16. We all were 16. They tried to convict Moses, but I took the blame. I knew they weren’t going to charge those people who shot at them. They were part of the military. And its not like I’m getting out of here anytime soon. I’m twenty-six now, and I remember that moment from ten years ago with vivid detail. I also doubt you’re going to do anything to help me, Mr. I’m here to free you and make the people pay for what they’ve done. I’ve been in here long enough to know they aren’t. As I’ve said before. I heard the gunshots, but it didn’t seem like any of the others did. Good day, I’ll be going back to my cell now.

Introduction: 11
Hello, I am Eleven. Not the age, Not the "Stranger Things" character, just a guy with a group of friendlies who wishes to write some things from time to time. I'd much rather a darker storyline but I wouldn't mind the occasional happy time. Or get a good mix and start with a happy story then jack-knife into a rapid, spiralling, decent into darkness. c: -11

Kam Klub Beginnings!
Hiya! Welcome to the Kam Klub! We are a newly founded group of writer friends coming together to share our stories. What stories? Well, the ones YOU come up with. Any plot, any setting, any time, any character. Give us as much, or as little, information you want and one of our members will write a short story about it.
Why the name ‘Kam Klub?’ Simply because our founding member calls himself Kam. (He’s not a narcissist, we swear.)
Story ideas will be taken immediately, so don’t hesitate to suggest something you want to see written about!
