Help two disabled trans people get cat food and groceries!

Hey, my fiance and I are both disabled. Only one of us has a job at the moment and we need help. We still need stuff to eat and to buy more of the baby food for our 22 year old cat. On top of that, we have to take our other senior cat and get his blood work done to make sure he isn't actively dying after we had to spend 8k in April on hospital and vet visits.

This has put us in a rough spot because the blood work can be up to $200 and we do not have things that are easy to eat. The heat wave means my heat intolerance severely limits what I can do and our horrible apartment has no way to cool the kitchen. So, cooking is extremely hard.

Hey, im disabled and I need a knee brace really bad. My knee subluxed last week really badly and keeps trying to do it again, which likely will lead to full dislocate. If anyone has like $15 ish I will draw your blorbo because if it fully dislocates, surgery is one of the most common things needed.

Commissions 50% Off!

Last month, we had to spend a lot of money we didn't have on our cat snowshoe because he became very, very ill and needed hospitalized ($7k). While he is much better now, he now costs a lot more to take care of due to his kidneys. This means spending $80 for a bag of prescription dry food that lasts us 2-3 months, arthritis medication (for both cats), and prescription wet food ($4 a can). The only way we can get him to eat the wet food is to mix it with meat baby food ($16 for 12 jars. This lasts 3 days when it was only Midnight eating it.), which we were already doing for our 22 year old cat Midnight. So, it's gotten significantly more expensive.

The problem is only one of us has a job. We are both disabled. We've only been able to get by with people helping us buy at least the baby food, which if you'd like to do so, you can find it here on our needs list. We just need help until I can get a job or my partner can find something better. I have to go do my food stamps interview which would help significantly with affording the baby food, but due to the state I live in I'm not even sure I'll have medicaid for long, let alone food stamps.

Something I try to keep in mind when making art that looks vintage is keeping a limited color pallette. Digital art gives you a very wide, Crisp scope of colors, whereas traditional art-- especially older traditional art-- had a very limited and sometimes dulled use of color.

This is a modern riso ink swatch, but still you find a similar and limited selection of colors to mix with. (Mixing digitally as to emulate the layering of ink riso would be coloring on Multiply, and layering on top of eachother 👉)

If you find some old prints, take a closer look and see if you can tell what colors they used and which ones they layered... a lot of the time you'll find yellow as a base!

Misprints can really reveal what colors were used and where, I love misprints...

Something else I keep in the back of my mind is: how the human eye perceives color on paper vs. a screen. Ink and paint soaks into paper, it bleeds, stains, fades over time, smears, ect... the history of a piece can show in physical wear. What kind of history do you want to emulate? Misprinted? Stained? Kept as clean as possible, but unable to escape the bluing damages of the sun? It's one of my favorite things about making vintage art. Making it imperfect!

You can see the bleed, the wobble of the lines on the rug, the fading, the dirt... beautiful!!

Thinking in terms of traditional-method art while drawing digital can help open avenues to achieving that genuine, vintage look!

This past Saturday we had noticed our 17 year old cat Snowshoe has been acting off for a few days. He's a very skittish cat and old, so we initially thought his arthritis was bad due to weather. We ended up going to the vet on Sunday because he wasn't eating. We dropped nearly $400 but they didn't have answers for us, because it was the end of the day. They told us if he gets worse to take him to the vet ER.

We ended up taking him there Tuesday. He was extremely lethargic and not eating or drinking. We agreed to let him stay there overnight so they could try getting him to eat and do some X-rays and other tests. They kept him for two days (nearly $3000).

It turns out that he has a UTI. We brought him home tuesday and he was eating and drinking. However, Wednesday into Thursday (today, it's 6:25am as of this post) he hasn't eaten. He's drank a lot of water, but he's refusing to eat. He's extremely lethargic and not doing good. We're calling our vet when they open so we can get him in ASAP.

But this is all at a very steep price, especially with my fiance having to miss work. We still have another cat who can only eat meat baby food (she's 22) on top of general bills and being able to feed ourselves. Below I'm leaving my d0n4tion info, but I also have commissions open! i'm opening up emergency commissions to help pay for my cat Snowshoe's expenses after he's (hopefully!!!) recovered from a very nasty fever! i'll put more info on that under the cut.

on the 18th we noticed snowshoe wasnt feeling like himself, and wasnt eating or drinking. we took him to the vet on the 19th where we got a lot of testing done and got him antibiotics. by the 20th he could barely hold his head up and we rushed him to the emergency vet. we found out he had a UTI and a very high fever and needed to stay overnight at the emergency vet. he had to have a feeding tube placed, and iv fluids and antibiotics. he ended up having to stay another night after that due to his high fever and not eating. they finally released him to us on the 22nd, since he was seeming to do better and eating on his own, but in the next few days he quickly started to decline and refused to eat again. he still had his high fever, so he got some high dose injection antibiotics twice a day for the next few days, and finally started to improve! on monday of this week his fever was finally gone! after all of these treatments, we ended up paying over $7,000. we were already struggling with money before this, and luckily our family was able to help with most of it, but we've really exhausted our resources getting our boy back to mostly full health. and on top of that ive had to miss a lot of work to stay home with him or take him to appointments. we still have groceries, bills, other pets, and a few final checkups for snowshoe. i know everyone is struggling, but if you have anything to spare consider commissioning me, my partner @micdraws , or if youd just like to send money here's our info! thank you all so much for the help so far!
