the mornings of quietness that await you the nights of adrenaline yet to come the heartbreaks, the laughter, the hunger

fate is already written  but shouldn’t we have a say?

okay so basically, what i’m proposing for this task is a bucket list ( thank you lauren for the idea ). the fates want our characters to think long and hard about all those things they want to achieve before they add ( and so they can laugh afterwards cuz #fate ).

anywaaays, make a list, a moodboard, a self para, an edit, you can present your muse’s bucket list in any way you’d like and please, don’t forget to tag it with kaos:fates and/or kaos:task !!

as always, this task is OPTIONAL, but i think it’ll be a lot of fun so i hope you guys participate !! and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out !!

someone will remember us even in another time then all the world will see how powerful we once were

the moonlight softly washes over the island. everyone seems to be peacefully asleep. and the sisters are merely making sure that fate is seen through. digging up the past is never a good idea, or is it ?

𝐨𝐨𝐜 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐭.

the second part of our event is here !! here’s the details:

the ancient box is opened at the luncheon. plenty of ancient items for the archeologists at the museum to study in depth. they have a lot of work in their hands. the whole event goes smoothly... nice food, drinks, friends and acquaintances. and everyone goes home with a full stomach and a happy heart.

now this is where things get REALLY interesting... during the night, items seem to magically appear in the doorsteps or the windows of the habitants of kaos. items deeply connected with their godly self. and even though, they might not totally understand the meaning of these items, their mere presence seems to ignite something in them they thought long dormant.

OOC speaking, this means a personal plot drop for each of our characters. for example, our persephone might find a pomegranate on his night stand the next morning. how will each character react to their findings? well, that’s entirely up to you.

what we propose is that BY LIKING THIS POST YOU ARE DOWN TO PARTICIPATE ON THIS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT PLOT DROP THINGY. you have until tuesday afternoon to like this.

on tuesday night, we’ll be anonymously leaving on each of your character’s inbox the item that they will be finding the next morning. after that, we encourage you to write a little self para, one paragraph minimum or as long as you’d like, narrating your character’s reaction.

and of course, you’re more than encouraged to include this on new threads with other characters in any way you’d like.

  ╰       the MOIRAI are an interesting combination of  prophecy , life  and death.  they know E V E R Y T H I N G.  past, present and future. their task is to direct and watch the  𝐅𝐀𝐓𝐄  of every being. they make sure that everyone takes their course without  O B S T R U C T I O N. and they control what is known as THE THREAD OF LIFE …

✧･ﾟ 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔 – SPUN the thread of life on her spindle. she made decisions such as when a person was going to be  B O R N .

 ✧･ﾟ𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒔 – is the MEASURER of the thread. she got to decide how long each mortal was allowed to  L I V E .

✧･ﾟ𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒔 – is known as the INEVITABLE. she is in charge of cutting the thread and thus  E N D  the life of each mortal.

when humankind was CREATED they began to spin this thread, it would then be  𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒅  and 𝐂𝐔𝐓, which predicted someone’s life from birth to death. this THREAD follows all of the steps a person takes, all their actions and all the consequences they have to  F A C E . 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, both  G O D S  and  𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒔  can’t escape from the 𝐅𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒..       ╯

FATES TASK 04 : A NIGHTMARE IN KAOS

October brings out all the creatures lurking in the dark out of their shadow homes.

It’s this time of the year when scariest stories are told.

We’re told they’re just stories and nothing more. You’ve heard them and now they are haunting your dreams

They whole island seems to be plagued with nightmares. We know they are just harmless dreams, but they feel so real.

But could a dream be real?

Hey ghouls and gals! it’s time to get our spooks on with our first Halloween task. Kaos has been struck again with plague of dreams but this time they are all nightmares! We took inspiration from two great horror movies, Nightmare on Elm Street and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. For this task we are asking you to find or even create a scary story your muse might have heard that just scared them beyond belief. Since we have a lot of residents from other parts of the world, we  would love to read some regional stories from around the globe if possible. These nightmares are range from anything you’d like. 

This task is NOT MANDATORY. It’s just a way to spark some fear for the Halloween event we have planned. There will be a due date for this task for those wanting to participate. POST YOUR SCARY STORIES BEFORE OCTOBER 27.

You take as much creative freedom with this task with edits or mood boards along with the self para. Don’t forget to have fun and tag this with Fates:Task.

Summer is ending. And life is slowly but surely going back to normal. Kids go back to school, people go back to their jobs. But not for you. It is your fate to make Kaos Island your new home.  Is it a welcomed surprise?  Or will it break your heart to part from the world as you new it? It doesn’t matter much. As it is said, it shall be done. – 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒐, 𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒔 & 𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒔.

summer is ending and most of our characters came to kaos on vacation, a lovely summer to forget their problems and explore the possibilities that the island came to offer. but now a new season is starting and real life is asking to be lived. now.. we obviously wouldn’t ask you to quit your character.. what we’re proposing here is AN INDIVIDUAL PLOT DROP / WRITING PROMPT, as to explain why your character has to stay in kaos and make it their new home, it doesn’t have to be forever, but at least for the time being.

there’ll be two types of prompts: the ones that already live here can make a throwback of the moment they decided to make kaos their home. and the ones that came for vacation can come up with a reason that makes them stay. or it could be a mix of both. maybe the moment when your character realized they wanted to stay on the island for the long run.. it’s up to you.

as it is a writing prompt, we encourage you to write a self-para, as long or as short as you want depicting this moment, situation, etc. you can also make edits? maybe social media posts about moving day?! who knows! it’s up to you and your creativity.

as always with our tasks, this is OPTIONAL, and obviously there’s no deadline for it. however,  there’s a side to it that’s MANDATORY, which is: finding an explanation for why your character is staying in the island in case they don’t live here full time. if you don’t make any post, at least keep it in mind for your character’s timeline/backstory in case it comes up in threads or for anything else in the future.

so we really hope you get the time to do this little exercise to further develop the storylines of our characters <3 and remember character development tasks prompted by the fates should be tagged with kaos:fates so if you do decide to participate, don’t forget to tag your posts !! we’ll be looking forward to read what you’ve come up with <3

PLOT DROP 01 // TASK - a dream that feels too real.

hello again darling,

have you ever had that strange feeling of deju vu ? those moments we’re you’re absolutely sure that those events have happened to you once before, almost as if you had dreamt it once a long time ago ? for you, it might seem like lifetimes ago, but none the less, perhaps you have felt it before.  in this life, a lot of things are different for you, but maybe we can help set you back on track.  remember who you once were, but nothing more than a memory. we wouldn’t want kaos falling, now would we?

𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒐, 𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒔 & 𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒐𝒔.

hello everyone !! we have a brand new task that we believe a lot, if not all of you will be excited for. this task will be a memory from their past life coming to them in a dream in the form of a self para. this task is mandatory in order to further your character development, however you can do it whenever you like, there’s no deadline. feel free to include what happens in this self-para into further threads with other characters: for example: confessing the dream to someone or acting weird around someone because of it. 

this is something we believe can throw a lot of drama and development into the mix, rocking the day to day life of kaos. remember, the dream is completely up to you, however, if you would like to plot certain things out with other muns, we wouldn’t mind at all. this task is for you to do to your hearts content. we encourage everyone to fun with this and we can’t wait to read how your characters reacts to these strange dreams !!

in another words this is basically a timeline of your muse’s life. here you can include 3-5 moments ( but feel free to add more if you feel like it ) that you feel are pivotal to your muse’s life and that help you, and us, understand how your greek god/goddess has reincarnated in your character. see his as an exercise that helps you connect the dots between your skeleton and your muse’s backstory. you can include moments related to your connections, related to myths, pretty much anything that helps you start building up your character as their god/goddess and that helps you understand how your character is who and how they are now. in another way, you can also see this as a study on your character and their past that helps you explore their motives, their personality and their general journey.

the difference between this timeline and a regular biography is that here we’ll be studying/creating really specific moments in our muse’s lives. and you can present in any way you’d like, you can do graphics, blurbs, headcanons, anything and everything.

as always with our tasks, this is OPTIONAL, and obviously there’s no deadline for it. however, lemme encourage you to do it since this is our very first character development task and these are made to sort of advance our characters into well… their character development. so i really hope you get the time to do this little exercise to get to know your character a little better <3
