Jordan Gibson and myself made you this bootleg Star Trek comic to enjoy. Yes, his art is terrific and yes, you probably want to commission him to draw something for you or buy one of his prints, which will enhance any home.
Why “The Right Stuff?” I recently re-read Tom Wolfe’s not-quite-nonfiction account of the Mercury 7 of the same name (and re-watched the excellent movie version) and while there’s a certain amount of waxing poetic about the masculinity of those first Americans into space, it’s easy to draw parallels between the confident way in which those men stepped up to the task and the steely-eyed professionalism that our favorite starship crew displays on a regular basis.
Or, as Gordon Cooper says: “Who was the best pilot I ever saw? Well, uh, you’re lookin’ at ‘im.”
If you like this, you may also enjoy “The Truth,” featuring art by Ming Doyle and “I will comport myself and use my knowledge in a godly manner,” drawn by Stephen Morrow.

The hair, the bosom, the boots, the voice. I mean, it was a CONSTANT examination of my gender. Until I finally marched into the producer’s office and I said ‘You know, Rick, you’ve GOT to stop this. If those people are examining my bosoms with the same intensity as you all are, it gives Star Trek a very bad name indeed.’ Right? Why don’t you just let them learn to trust me, care about me, follow me. Let me become the captain I want to be. Let me endow Janeway with Mulgrew, Mulgrew with Janeway, and then we’ll make a marriage that will last. Otherwise you’re looking at a divorce here.

Entering both a Star Wars and Star Trek contest at once.
The challenge at the Star Wars contest was to drawing some sort of tech, so I chose the droids themselves, and the challenge at the Star Trek contest was to include all seven colors of the rainbow in your picture.
More of my stuff

TNG + Music. Q is a definite contrast to the others, but too bad.

Hi guys!
My name is Bethany, and I’m absolutely in love with Star Trek, and I’ve decided to open up my experience and know-how to allow you to buy handmade Star Trek costumes that are accurate without paying Anovos prices. Plus I’ll make them to your measurements (which Anovos doesn’t do)!
Why me? I’ve been sewing since I was 8, so I’ve got a lot of experience with it, plus I’m always interested in your feedback. Realized you measured wrong? Just shoot me a message! Want to find a relatively realistic, but cheaper alternative? Absolutely! I’ll be sure sure to tag you in all the information and post pictures as it goes! Plus I’m based in Canada, which means that my shipping costs, even internationally, are much cheaper than America, and with our dollar so low right now, you’re getting an even better bargain!
Even if you don’t love Star Trek, I’d be more than happy to work with you to make any kind of costume, or thing for you! Just send me an ask!
If you’re interested, please check out my commissions page!

Love this art by Aaron Harvey, who hosts a fabulous TAS podcast called Saturday Morning Trek on @trekfm. As Aaron said when he posted on Facebook:
International Women’s Day is today and while I am in my re-watch of TAS for Saturday Morning Trek I am still amazed at the strong female characters for an early 1970’s cartoon. Not only does Uhura get to take command of the Enterprise, not only do we meet Sarah April, a pioneer in starship medicine but we see the first woman in Starfleet/Federation in PANTS outside of The Cage!

“Space. The final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Voyager. Wow, that’s a little on-the-nose. Anyways, we got stranded in the Delta Quadrant, 70,000 lightyears from Earth. Our long mission: To get home. We may have gone a little too boldly this time.”

Gates McFadden and Beverly Crusher have been my role models from the beginning of TNG, when I was a motherless tween in desperate need of one. Mothers, and especially single mothers, do not get enough respect in film or life and this quote makes my heart ache and sing at the very same time.
Happy birthday, and thank you.

hey! so my name is silas julian (they/them pronouns) and I make collages. I work really hard, I’m really enthusiastic about what I do, and I love making people happy with my art.
all of my collages are on these sturdy wooden cradled art panels. I paint them with several coats of black paint and coat them in varnish before working on them. after I am done with the collage, I apply a final thick glossy coat of varnish to the entire piece. I really try to make these things as strong and durable as I can.
to commission me, send me a message on etsy! my prices are really flexible. in your message talk about what you have in mind, what size you want, what you’re looking to spend, and include any photos that you want me to work with.
if you’re thinking about buying or commissioning and you’re curious about anything at all, don’t hesitate to message me on tumblr or etsy.
if you like my art, please reblog this post if you can. reblogs help my art get seen and bought! the more I sell, the more I can make. the more I make, the happier I am!
you can also help me by favoriting my etsy shop & items, liking my facebook page, and sending me messages of support!
