no one is really here so i'll just talk to myself.

so basically what we have is 

an onmyouji (mick)

a futakuchi onna (sam)

a yuki onna (tiffu)

a night sparrow (lucille)

and a tengu (me)

The girl walked back to the tengu village. She literally could fly back to the village but she liked walking a little better. She had no clue as to getting past the gate. Maybe she followed something and lead her outside the gate. Maybe it was those who kidnapped her mother. Maybe... She shook her head to erase those thoughts. She had too many thoughts about it. Ran sighed. Whatever happens, her father will be furious once he knew she went through the gate. 

As she head back to the village, she happened to pass by a yuki onna. She only took a glance at her. Yuki onnas are really pretty she thought, though only saw them in textbooks. Never once thought she'd see one live. 

As they were distant from each other, she swore she had something mutter behind her. She looked back to see the Yuki Onna again. "Um, did you say something?" She asked.

Kasumi was walking back home from school when she passed by a being that gave off a rather familiar, yet unknown aura. Her dark brown eyes shifted to glance curiously at a young female, who looked around the same age as her. 

It seems that lately there has been a lot of youkai appearing around Japan. It’s as if something mysterious had brought the legends and myths to life. Well, the truth is, youkai have been around for centuries. It’s just that mortals never notice because they blend in too well. 

With a flick of her jet black hair, she turned her head away from the female, but continued searching her mind, trying to decipher exactly what kind of youkai the other was. Just earlier, she had met a futakuchi onna. 

After some pondering, she had finally came to an answer, or more like an educated guess. 

"Tengu." Kasumi muttered, so quietly that perhaps only the winter wind could hear her voice.

She nodded. "That's right." Something about her...she didn't like it. Suddenly the girl moved forward without warning. Ran started to move as the girl walked into the village.

"H-Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" She ran in front of her to stop her. "You can't just come in here!"

Ran's eyes were fixated on the girl who just arrived here. She looked a little lost. Ran sensed that this girl wasn't human. Some kind of youkai? She guessed, but which one?

Her train of thought disappeared when the girl talked to her. "Huh? Soup?" Soup, what an odd thing to request. "Um, sure. Soup. Why soup though?" She had to ask.

"Geeeh—" The young man huffed out, her breathing labored and heavy. All the way up the mountain and for what? To be met with some gates? The internet could have at least warned her of that much. But then again…she and Yuusha were literally in the middle of nowhere. Did anyone even live here? 

Her answer was soon upon her, as dark brown eyes focused in on a girl around her age. “Ah…hello! We’re just here for some soup, honestly! Can we…come in? Maybeeee…?”

"Bird…"A muffled and gnarled voice purred. “Yeah Yuusha there’s plenty of them, we’re on a mountain you nut. Shut up.” The brunette pulled her hat down further, speaking in a hushed voice.

"Ha, I see." She'd hoped that her explanation went through her, however it looks like it didn't. It didn't bother her though. "Um, can I ask how did you get here? No human should ever gotten through this... lets say barrier. Humans aren't allowed here." 

[Lyra crosses her arms, nodding at every word of the girl’s explanation while trying to comprehend what she was talking about. Obviously, it confused her even more because all this? None of it sounded anything like the world she was from.] Nope! Not at all! I think I made that pretty obvious by now.

[Lyra’s eyes blinks one, two, maybe three or four times, wondering what this girl was talking about.] Uh.. What’s a ‘tengu’? That some sort of new species or what?

"Um...A tengu is a Japanese creature. We've been here for a long time, so I don't think it is a 'new species'" Despite being the creature itself, she really didn't know how to explain herself. "Are you not from here?"

She only looked at the girl. She didn't seem harmless, she could help her at least. "...This is a place where tengus live. What is a human like you doing here?"

Hey! Don’t suppose you know where I am, do you? This places looks nothing where I’m from! [Holds out a map in front of her and begins tilting it left and right.]

This girl seems suspicious. Something about her was kinda weird. "This is tengu territory. What is your business here?" She examined the girl carefully.  Was she those people who easily gets lost? No. No one would be able to get into this village, let alone be able to see it. However, by the looks of that girl, she had hoped it'd be a lost traveler. "If you've no reason to be here, leave!"

+ -- Ran came out from her house after studying. She really need fresh air. She didn't like being kept in that house. She walked around town, looking for something to do. She really didn't have many friends. As she was walked around, she noticed two unfamiliar faces at the gate. As for as she knows, only tengus were allowed here. What were they doing here? She'd hope they came here for good.
