We literally started hardcore shipping Eddie and Buck after one episode together and we were going pretty strong after just a few more. And look at us now.

So can the toxic buddie shippers, especially those who weren’t there in those early days, stop trying to put down another ship because it’s only been canon for a few episodes? Cause I think a kiss and some dates (even with an early ending to one) isn’t too bad a starting point for a ship. People have shipped couples from much less.

And anyway why does it matter that other people ship it? What happened to ship and let ship? I’m personally thrilled to have two queer ships involving Buck that I like right now, each with something to back them up. That’s pretty rare for a prime time TV show from a major network. Normally that’s the realm dominated by heterosexuality.

I just want us all (both sides of the shipper divide and those of us in the middle) to enjoy that instead of trying to destroy it for others and trying to ruin the vibe. How can that be any fun?

If I were a writer for this show. I would definitely think twice about making buddie canon.

I’ve seen how the rabid fan-squirrels in other fandoms behave when they get their OTP. Making the lives of the actors a living hell with the relentless stalking and speculation on their IRL relationships.

So I’m going to get out in front of this bullet train of crazy right now.

This is a fucking television show. I understand, I love the stuffing out of most of the characters on 911. But when a professional actor says a specific fandom is getting overwhelming. Ya’ll need to sit tf down, shut tf up, and chill tf out for a really long minute.

I actually for the first time EVER had to filter/block some tags because you all were flooding social media with your special brand of unleaded crazy since Tommy Kinard has shown up.

And ya’ll are shookth. I get it. You wanted your soft white boys to kiss, and instead they brought in a grown ass man who does not have time for games, to tell an actual story.

The actors are being exceptionally good sports. And playing the media game adeptly. But you can start to see the slight fraying at the edges.

And the overwhelming opinion is some of ya’ll are Annie Wilkes level of crazy. And it ain’t cute.

I know we're all very excited about all of Oliver's interviews, but the next episode isn't about buddie or bucktommy - it's about Maddie and Chim getting married after years of love and pain and loss and hope.

It's about Maddie marrying a man who loves her, who respects her, who trusts her, who doesn't control her, who wants Maddie to just be Maddie.

It's about Chimney marrying a woman who loves him, who values him for exactly who he is, who laughs at his jokes, who overcame hell and came out the other side a little battered and bruised but still alive, who loves him for exactly who is he and has never once asked him to change.

It's about a couple who fought through abusive ex-husbands and near death experiences and PPD and breaking up but still loving each other so much and getting back together because being apart was never going to work for them.

It's about a family that deserves happiness finally getting to celebrate that after years of so much drama.

So again, I know we're all excited about the buddie and bucktommy of it all, but let's not forget what 7x06 is about - Maddie and Chimney getting married.

And this is an entirely different point but buddie stans need to check themselves cuz, sorry, that not everyone has the same opinion than you. And I WOULD call out the other side of this conversation(bucktommy fans) but I have never been called weird for liking buddie, I have never actively felt like I didn’t belong on an APP because of a ship I shipped. That app being tik tok cuz no matter where I go everyone is hating on Tommy & bucktommy, I have never seen one person on that app support bucktommy.

Maybe this isn't a problem so much on here than on Twitter but some of y'all are being really weird to fan artists right now. I don't care if you don't ship it, I'm Buddie endgame too, but making fun of bucktommy edits, fanarts, and fanfics is really odd, people put work into those and you're out here making fun of them because you don't like the ship? Middle-schooler behavior for real. Just ignore it if you don't like it
