This chart is taken from the interactive video via the Guardian, it actually demonstrates the efforts that go into producing a piece of clothing. The majority of the entire process goes on outside of the UK, yet UK retailers are the ones to take home the majority of the profits.

Saana Hellsten explores gender neutral packaging via a thesis she wrote around the issue, she looked at the history of gendered roles, incorporating factors such as colours. Through her research it led her to design her own gender neutral specific packaging, the product range was known as basik.

WE’RE DELIGHTED TO BE BACK IN 2016 FOR OUR 5TH YEAR!
Secret 7” takes 7 tracks from 7 of the best-known musicians around and presses each one 100 times to 7” vinyl. We then invite creatives from around the world to interpret the tracks in their own style for every 7”. 700 sleeves are exhibited and then sold for £50 apiece. You don’t know who created the sleeve, or even which song it’s for, until you have parted with your cash - the secret lies within. - See more at: http://secret-7.com/about#discover

So this is the final outcome for how I’d want my everyday sexism book to be printed, unfortunately I have had not had the time to develop this project how I would like to, but this shows the idea, and the thought process behind it. I really like the idea behind it and the issues it is addressing and I would like to continue to develop this project further after the deadline and actually get it bound on a5 how i would have liked to if I’d have had enough time.

So here is my completed brand guidelines for Gomez-Gracia including all relevant information regarding the brands relaunch and how it is to be presented on any platform, by shapes, spacing, colour, font etc.
i am really pleased with the outcome of this project and I want to continue to develop it further.

This mock up shows how personal this piece is and due to the nature of it, it should really connect on a deeper level with the audience and really make them consider the view point of the the messages that have been received as the victim of sexism. By bringing attention to the issue, that is the first step in engaging in change.

These are completed pages for my sexism everyday book, as you can see they are pretty brutal, but that’s the point I want to convey, it’s realism, it happens everyday and we still in the 21st century have to face issues like this on a day to day basis.

So moving on from the poster series to raise awareness on sexism campaign. I decided to experiment with creating a book on everyday sexism, that puts the individual in the position, where they experience sexism first hand.
The idea is I have subtly included images and text that have been received in day to day life involving sexism. I have left them as very vague, as this leaves it open to interpretation to the viewer themselves to make of it what they will.
I feel this is a deeper and more meaningful way to raise awareness on this issue.

I used this mock up just to show the potential launch poster in context and to scale. I think it works and it’s consistent to the brand values and previous designs I have done for this project.

I wanted to create a poster for the launch campaign of the newly designed Orchard Pig Cider. To keep a consistent theme I decided to use the butler again and have him unveiling the Orchard Pig logo on a silver platter, and as a tag line to round up the image, it says, ‘we are here for you’ a bold statement, that’s very attentive as a butler would be and communicates to a range of audiences as the brief specifies that the brand is targeted at everyone.
The first font I felt looked out of place, so I changed it to one more recognisable and familiar to that of the brand logo already used, after changing it I felt the poster looked a lot more visually appealing.

This is a potential poster idea to showcase all of the finished designed bottles for Orchard Pig Cider.

Final outcomes for my Orchid Pig Cider bottle designs.
Designed for all 6 flavours.
So to conclude my idea communicates the brand values as I took inspiration from the Privileged insurance advert ‘you don’t have to be posh to be privileged.’ And this kind of mimics that in a sense of use of the butler, it’s taking something not really looked to as ‘classy’ but sarcastically making it out to be. It’s even more ironic that he is serving the drink in a less than average glass which is quite comical and mischievous. By using images of real fruit and aligning it with the luxury tone already it puts this drink at the top of the cider game, it’s the craft beer of all ciders.

Ok the only concern I now have is where to position the Orchid Pig logo, on the main label or on it’s own individual label on the neck of the bottle.
I am going to put both into context and compare, and get feedback from others to make the design for my final design.

So eventually I came to the conclusion, that this design overall is the best presented for my final outcome.
The layout communicates the tone, the image communicates the brand values and the neck delivers you the brand.
I’m really pleased with the end result.

I applied my designs to PSD mock ups of bottle to really see my design come to life in context. The first I really did not like, the bottle did not communicate the brand or label well, it made the design look really tacky.
The second I tried having the image on one side of the label and the text on the other, but it didn’t work well for me, and I’m still really unsure about the neck of the bottle and whether or not the Orchid Pig logo works well there or on the main label itself.
The last image I think works best for me, it looks sleek and communicates the labels visual very nicely.
