I miss tv in the 2010s every day. You could put anything on air and get a 22 episode order and a five season run. Once Upon a Time was on and it basically spit in your face and told you that Olaf the snowman was Emma's second great uncle twice removed and you just accepted it. Golden age of the silver screen

television peaked with Once Upon a Time, like I can watch Anna from Frozen try to convince Snow White's Prince Charming to fight evil Warlord Little Bo Beep and he's like 'You don't know what you're talking about Anna from Frozen, my dad died when I was six because he was an alcoholic' and be like that's not even the most insane moment of this episode

I don't think many people realize how much they've been turned into a bunch of casually cynical jerks.

Someone may come to their parents and say "I want to write a book" and their parents will say "it's really hard to get published".

Someone might confide in their sibling and say "I want to sell my art on "x" platform" and that sibling will say "do you know how many people you'd be competing with? Do you know how many shops are even on that platform?"

I know a kid who once told his best friend "I think I wanna start a dnd podcast" and the friend was like "do you know what the word "oversaturation" means?"

Personally, I don't know why any of that matters? And even if it did, perhaps your response should be "Do it! Do it and see where it goes!"

thinking abt how yoongi’s ending ment started w him trying to make everyone laugh bc everyone was sad n crying and how we wouldn’t have ever known that making the slogans for the final shows of sy/ly era were his idea if bts hadn’t said anything and how last year when everyone was breaking down after the mama speech he was jumping around trying to make them all smile and how jimin says he nags them like for example abt taking cold medicine and how he’s always reminding them all that it’s okay not to be okay and how his entire verse in song request is abt being a gentle source of comfort for someone and how he’s still the same thoughtful caring dude who made 300 handwritten gifts for fans and just wants to make the world a better place and how i just love him a lot :-(
