Unpopular opinion: not everything that makes you uncomfortable is bad. Sometimes discomfort means your worldview is being challenged. It’s okay to sit with discomfort and think about where it’s coming from.

People who prefer hot weather: Snow and ice are a pain, and the cold is just kind of uncomfortable even when you wrap up, you know?

Things I've Learnt So Far During This Pandemic
Small local stores & farm shops are still mostly fully stocked, and cleaner than the huge stores
And cleaner because they not rushed off their feet from open to close doing battle with panic buyers
Also, they desperately need your business rn. Sure, they can be a little more expensive, but they'll have 9/10 items that you need
They are more expensive because they tend to rely on large cash & carry outlets for their stock. Panic buyers are quickly buying up said stock
THERE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE IF WE ALL ONLY BUY WHAT WE NEED
There is no food shortage, people are just buying in huge amounts.
Nearly all supermarkets don't have stock out back. The goods get unloaded out back and then go straight out onto the shelves, hence why there are about 3 deliveries a day.
Once the shelves are empty, they have to wait for their next delivery to be able to restock
EMPTY SHELVES ARE NOT THE STAFF'S FAULT SO STOP FUCKING YELLING AT THEM SUSAN.
So, to conclude: buy local where and when you can. You're more likely to be able to get what you need, and you'll be supporting local business whilst heping to ease the amount of people decending on the big stores.
STOP YELLING AT RETAIL STAFF.
