ykw fuck this rescinding this and writing.

i have horrible writers block and have not been able to get back into after the wedding. it's horrible, because i've only got like half a chapter left, and maybe an epilogue if i'm feeling fancy, but i physically cannot bring myself to open my laptop and start cooking. however, i've learned my lesson. i will not post my fics while they are wips. only once they are finished.

no because this. this is why fanfic writers mean everything to me. canon gave lance a tragedy and fic said “what if he healed? what if keith helped him find himself again?” and i just think about that a lot.

keith would never let lance fade away like that. not when he’s seen him shine. not when he knows what that sparkle meant. they’ve always been each other’s anchor, and they’d keep showing up for each other, especially after everything. they’ve been through hell and back side by side—there’s no way that stops post-canon.

i fully believe they’d find peace together. slow healing, shared silence, mutual soft touches kind of peace. maybe even that old married couple kind of love. the “come back to bed it’s cold” kind. the “you’re still you, i’ve got you” kind.

making my tumblr revival for a quick essay on lance just bc i love him so much and the writers hated him:

okay so as much as we all wanted, needed, lance to end up with keith, he didn’t. and i’m not saying romance is everything, but the build up? the tension? the mutual growth and understanding? they literally gave klance a slow burn rivals to friends to something more arc and then just. tossed it. tossed it like it meant nothing. like we meant nothing.

instead they had lance end up with allura. after eight seasons of pining after her, she finally gives him the time of day and then dies. she straight up sacrifices herself for the greater good, and like yeah okay queen behavior and all, but can someone give lance a break? this man cannot catch a single win. he finally gets the girl and she evaporates into space dust. what was the reason???

he went from comic relief to tragic romantic interest to background extra with a sad cow backstory. like the writers had it out for him. no character in the main cast got done dirtier. he was kind, loyal, funny, insecure in a real way, and they gave him nothing. no closure, no arc payoff, just vibes and trauma.

BUT my issue is that i don't wanna throw lance in adrien's family dynamic just bc it would suit him at all (and also i don't know how i would write him like that i do but yk) so looking for suggestions bc yeah. and also keith as mari i feel like i could make work just bc have shiro and adam be his parents (they would be a bakery owning couple), it's really just lance as adrien/adriens family dynamic that im struggling with

Coz you could get like lance sad he's so far away from home and his family and roots and is thrown into a shit model(?) life in Paris (?) and lance thrilled to have Chat Noir as an outlet for his bubbly freer self, away from the strict life yk (angst X2: from loneliness and homesickness🫶)
