Beelzebub Headcanons

This is admittedly going to be very self indulgent so you’ll have to forgive me, but I have a few I’d love to share with my fellow Beel lovers…

He definitely has autism, like I could certainly elaborate in another post but for now just.. Look at him. He got that dawg in him.

He sucks at holding pens, hes got that full fisted toddler grasp on his pens and as a result his handwriting and drawings look really clunky.

He keeps a little notebook on him whenever he tries a new restaurant or dish and jots down notes on what he thought; if you’re ever craving something he’ll flip through it and show you some recommendations.

Usually he eats really quickly, but if you cook him something he’ll deliberately eat it slowly and savor every bite, it’s hard but he wants to show you how much he appreciates it.

He’s got tan lines and freckles all over his body

His teeth are kind of crooked, with his canines protruding a good bit; he’s a little embarrassed about them so he often smiles with a closed mouth.

He cuts his own hair and it… it’s pretty noticeable… it’s really uneven and choppy… he doesn’t cut it for any kind of aesthetic reasons; only for practically.

He’s absolutely the kind of guy who uses 7in1 soap, but he has to use a fragrance free variant because he ends up eating the soap if it smells too yummy.

His natural scent is warm and spiced; I imagine it to be similar to sandalwood and cinnamon… very comforting…

Slightly whumpy but I imagine that their transformations into demons began during the war; and as they fought their own holy weaponry began to burn them. Beel still has scarring on his palm where he held his spear. He doesn’t have a lot of sensation there but if you trace your fingers across it he may whimper a little and comment that it tickles.

Very big on holding you when you sleep together, it’s hard not to feel like a big stuffed animal with the way he holds you.

When speaking to you he leans down slightly, and when he’s listening intently you can sometimes catch his ears flickering or twitching.

Chews on anything that gets close to his mouth; the pens he doesn’t snap are chewed up to high hell and all his hoodies have destroyed draw strings.

Drools a lot… Sometimes his mind just starts wandering to yummy dishes and the waterfall starts up. His sleeves are unfortunately a little crusty from wiping away so much drool…

I’m so sorry for this but he definitely does have a crusty greasy phone he just doesn’t think to wipe his hands before using it and it ends up caked with food grime.

AUGH I’m so glad you like it!!!!!! I imagine he gets a lot bigger in this form too.. probs going from like 6ft smth to around 7ft… another detail is that his bottom jaw can split open in the middle for even more eating; a bit like how a snake does :giggle:

Reasons why Beelzebub in his Evolved demon form should have two pairs of arms/ why I've ALWAYS wanted/pretended he had two pairs of arms in his demon form

It makes him more insect like with six limbs if you include legs

Anything that makes the demons less human-like/more monstrous in their demons forms is a plus in my book

More hands to snag food with

Makes for fun and unique poses/positions for artists to work with

He can carry, Belphie, and MC, and food, all at the same time, it would make him the happiest creature ever

You can do cute things like when ballroom dancing two hands are on MC's hips and the other two holding their hands

Separates his build a little more from the rest of the cast who mostly have rather similar ones

More fingernails for Asmo to paint

As gluttony/his character it's SO fitting, greed is wanting while gluttony is indulgence so the more hands to take what you want/keep close what's most precious/what you want to indulge in SO GOOD.

More strength to protect his family with

I just think it would make for a REALLY fun concept to work with/around in general

- I had a really hard time choosing between Beel and Simeon but I ultimately chose Beel since he fits your type better!! When I think of “golden retriever” or a big, puppy-like guy, he’s the first person who comes to mind. I also see him as being pretty emotionally intelligent since he himself has gone through some hardships and has struggled with guilt and grief. Ofc Simeon is still a very veryy close runner up though.

- Beel is also pretty reserved, so I can’t imagine either of you intentionally approaching eachother, yk? Since you’re into cooking and ofc Beel is the avatar of gluttony, I could see you guys being brought together by food (reminds me of how I had a whole lecture on how sharing food in media is lit symbolic of growing connections LMAO)

- I feel like you two would grow closer when you two are left home alone. Although it’s not too common for demons to get sick, Beel happened to ingest food that was contaminated and had to stay home from school, meanwhile you stayed behind because you were “sick” (you really just wanted to explore the attic to meet up with Belphie and saw the opportunity to stay home). Belphie tells you that he’s stuck in the attic and that it’s sealed with powerful magic that can only be broken if you create pacts with his brothers. He suggests that you start with Beel, so you oblige.

- Since you cook and Beel is the avatar of gluttony, you decide to make him a light meal for his stomach flu. You figure that this will bring you two closer and he’ll perhaps make a pact with you anyways, so you bring Beel something light for his stomach and his face immediately lights up LMAO he devours it within minutes but he really enjoys it. He’s not used to people taking care of him whenever he’s sick, so he voices his appreciation and gives you a warm smile.

- I feel like he’d want you to stay behind and keep him company, especially since you did something so nice for him, he wants to get to know you better so he can somehow repay you! He’d ask you to keep him company for a bit and ask you about your absence from RAD as well as what you liked to do in your free time. I can see him complimenting the meal you made him and you telling him that you enjoy cooking in your free time. When you tell him he’d be like :D and he’d ask you to make more food for him in the future!

- I can’t imagine you feeling the need to pull away from him because he makes it clear that he enjoys your presence when you bring him food and when he asks you to keep him company. He makes sure to voice his appreciation for your kind act so you don’t need to worry about what he thinks about you.

- I could see him trying to thank you for looking after him while he was sick by helping you with chores or offering to hold your RAD bag. I could also see him running into you while you cook in the kitchen (because he likes to snack throughout the day so he makes frequent trips there) and him seeing you struggle to reach a seasoning or sauce on a high shelf and helping you reach it.

- He’d ask you soo many questions about your recipes and he volunteers as tribute whenever you make a new dish or want someone to taste test something!

- omg and when he learns you do pottery, he’d be so excited!! I can see you making him little bowls for him (since your love language is gift giving) and he’d absolutely cherish it. That’s his favorite bowl and he refuses to use any other bowl unless he absolutely has to.

- anywho im getting ahead of myself, I can see you opening up to Beel gradually as he goes out of his way to help you. Beel is one of the more easygoing brothers, so I can imagine that it’d be easier for you to open up to him. Plus he’s very thoughtful and observant so I can imagining him remembering the snacks or food you like and giving it to you.

- Beel would lovee how bubbly and funny you are when you warm up to people, to him it’s kinda grounding in a way! He feels like he can loosen up around you, yk? He doesn’t feel as though he has to be serious all the time with you and he can just kick back and relax with you.

- I also think he’d lovee how passionate you are when it comes to your hobbies. He might not partake in them himself, but he loves hearing you talk about the things you’re interested in. He loves to just watch how your eyes sparkle and how giddy you get. It’s adorable to him really.

- He’d also love to see the pottery pieces you create and whenever you tell him how long it took you he’d be like :0 LMAO HES SO CUTE

- Anywho, I could see him getting super excited whenever Lucifer puts you on dinner duty LMAO and he’d only ever get super excited when it’s your turn to cook! I could also see him asking if he could take up dinner duty with you so he can spend time with you (although Luce would likely say no unless you promised to watch Beel carefully)

- I could definitely see him confessing to you while you guys cook together and he’d want to hug you immediately after bc he’s just so overjoyed when you tell him you feel the same!!

- when you guys do date, he’d be absolutely whipped omg. he’d follow you around like a puppy and he’d protect you (although no low level demon would dare mess with someone being protected by the avatar of gluttony bc of his brute strength LMAO)

- I headcanon physical touch as being one of his love languages so you can expect a lot of cuddles and hand holding!! he’s honestly like an oversized teddy bear with how cuddly he can be

headcannons: beel

Beel is quiet, but not because he doesn’t have anything to say, he’s just thinking all the time. He listens before he speaks.

He genuinely doesn’t mind doing chores if it means keeping the peace in the House of Lamentation. Especially heavy lifting or errands that involve carrying things.

He’s one of the most observant brothers, especially when it comes to people’s habits. He notices when someone’s sad or tired, even if they don’t say anything.

He has a soft spot for animals and is surprisingly gentle with creatures much smaller than him. He once fed a crow with crumbs for a week and named it "Toast."

Beel and Mammon have a surprisingly good relationship. Mammon sneaks snacks to him in class, and Beel never rats him out. They have an unspoken food-based truce.

Satan once taught Beel about Devildom flora and which fruits were safe to eat, and Beel now brings him rare samples he finds while out hiking.

Lucifer relies on Beel for reinforcement, not to intimidate, but because Beel’s silent presence is enough to keep things from escalating when tensions rise.

Beel makes sure Belphie eats properly, even if it’s just nibbling on something. He often cooks extra and just leaves it on Belphie’s desk without comment.

Asmo’s the only one who can get Beel to sit still to do his hair or nails. Beel falls asleep during them half the time, and Asmo doesn’t mind “You’re like a golden retriever.”

Whenever Levi orders food packs in bulk, hoping to get a rare prize, Beel helps him go through them all. He does it for the free food, of course, but he enjoys seeing Levi's reaction to the prizes.

Beel always saves the last bite for you, no matter how hungry he is. If you're eating together, he instinctively offers you food from his own plate.

You get used to packing snacks for Beel, but he ends up sharing half of them. He thanks you every single time, even if it’s just a single chip.

Beel isn’t physically clingy unless you initiate, but once you do, he melts. He’ll wrap you in his arms and let you nap on his chest for hours.

Beel is fascinated by your cooking skills if you cook. If you can’t, he happily teaches you, even if it turns into a “we ate all the ingredients” situation.

If you give him food with a personal note, he’ll tape the note to his wall. Even the tiniest “eat well today!” becomes part of a small collection by his bed.
