Are you aware that most people that watch the show and don't analyze it, think that lucas likes riley more and wants them to get together. This makes me think the show is poorly written, if were suppose to truly beileve he likes both equally the writers should write better scenes for lucaya (like that cute one in stem with the seat patting!). You can tell which writers lean towards rucas and which lean toward lucaya

The show is purposefully being written with an easy surface level interpretation as well as a “look closer and tell me what’s really going on here” interpretation. Whenever they pull the curtain all the way back for the surface skimmers, it’s going to blow their minds. (Well, aside from the ones who will undoubtedly fold their arms, refuse to accept it and screech unendingly about “fanservice.” 😂)

It’s not about which “ship” the writers love best. They love the WHOLE THING and every character and relationship on the show is a part of the larger picture/puzzle they’re putting together.

(Triangle is very well written in this regard when it comes to Lucas. People heard him, but they didn’t listen to the SUBSTANCE of what he was saying.)

Riley is questioning Maya's feelings for Lucas but why not her own?

Riley’s felt the exact same way since the subway and she’s under the mistaken impression that what she felt that day was truuuuue love (or whatever) even though it’s impossible to fall in love or have true, deep, personal feelings for someone you do not actually know. She started to question this (rightly so) in season two, but then Farkle told her that what she THINKS is how she really feels and here we are.

Maya’s feelings are a whole different beast because they developed and evolved over time, but Riley’s never felt what Maya feels in any way that she was aware of so it’s impossible for her to understand.

She’s gonna need some more lessons…

the library scene was so long ago and the fact that lucaya has another intimate scene/deep conversation before rucas even get the chance to speak ALONE or have another meaningful conversation shows the difference between the two ships.

100th Disney Channel Original Movie

People are hating on AIB and throwing shade on a movie to make another look better and they are making Adventures in Babysitting look bad which is stating that "Sabrina is Fake" either way its not at sabrinas power Northern lights was the 1st DCOM key word was Northern lights was cut of from the disney channel name because the storyline was to mature and was out of the Disney channel original movie standards therfore removed it from a DCOM, The hastag #rowandeservesbetter is irrevelant and better to use about important things like the hate she gets and harrased by her social life not cause of this. DISNEY didnt disown invisible sister that movie is still getting the respect it would normally get they just think NORTHERN LIGHTS is out of the standards so stop using the hashtag to throw shade at AIB if anything this should be used to stop the mean harsh hating on rowan not hating on sabrina WE LOVE THE BOTH!!!

I remember a while ago, you said that Lucas makes a decision to pick one of the girls but doesn't say it out loud. At first you thought it was Riley, but you changed your mind and said it could have been Maya (GMTriangle?). Do you still stand by that or was he always gonna pick Riley?

My thoughts on this, as briefly as I can state them:

Lucas has a real “supposed to” vs “want to” thing going on with the girls. Which isn’t to say he doesn’t like and have feelings for them both (it’s a thing, just watch The Notebook, man). If you need any canon evidence of this, just think about the substantive difference between “the universe told me its Riley” vs “that’s who Maya is” and the fact that Lucas essentially used talking about who Maya is to DEFY the universe and keep her in the running even after Zay thought he’d decided.

When you look at the substance of what he says about each girl, I think it’s obvious the deeper PERSONAL connection is with Maya. He understands who she is on some level in a way that just doesn’t get touched on with Riley. When it comes to who makes him laugh, Maya’s huckleberry/hahurr are something unique to just the two of them whereas Riley’s goofiness is something pretty much EVERYBODY loves about her.

But Lucas also has legit moments of connection with both girls that HE sees as deep communication and they’re both really important. We can revisit the old debate about which conversation was MORE meaningful from a narrative standpoint; library vs campfire, but frankly: THEY ARE BOTH MEANINGFUL. Just in different ways. SL2 makes it very very clear what the library was really about (and really just listen to Riley says at the end of GM Boy…) but we’ve yet to get similar insight regarding the campfire. (Although really…come on.) Either way, both of those nights are really important to Lucas, so that’s not the kicker here.

The kicker is whether he’s gonna do what he thinks the universe told him to do, or whether he’s gonna go with the girl he essentially defied the universe for.

If Lucas is still in “supposed to” mode (do what the universe says), then he had Riley in mind at the end of Triangle. I think this is HIGHLY POSSIBLE as he’s a dude who is terrified of breaking rules or embracing the “want to” side of himself most of the time.

However, if Lucas has gone into “want to” mode—which is also pretty possible considering how he evens things back out to keep Maya in the running despite what the “universe told him”—then he’s got Maya in mind at the end.

This all said, we’ll need Upstate and True Maya before I can give you the rest of my thoughts on this BUT OH MY GOD AT LEAST I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT GM TRIANGLE. *breathes into bag*

This shows that maya indeed knows what she feels, she really does like lucas and it even showed when maya told lucas why she liked him when she said her fantasy about campfire so those rucas BITCHES and FARKLE AT NEW YEARS SHHIPPERS WHO SAY MAYA DOESNT KNOW HOW SHE FEELS AND SAY THAT SHE DOESNT KNOW HOW SHE FEELS..have a nice Fucking day hoes......
