I might have been selfish for wanting to keep you, asking you to understand me for an unknown reason I just wanna keep to myself, insensitive enough to ask if I'm being too much when all throughout, I know I am. I  am shameless for asking you to remind me if you are already getting tired. I just realized I'm such a trash. Am I that worthy that you can continue to pursue and to love? Despite the pain, negligence, lack of passion and communication? Will I just continue to wait for you to give up and just stay "Let's stop"? Is it better if I call it off now? It will ease my conscience and mind but it will break my heart. I put no blame on you because this is brought upon by no one but me and my selfish me. What we have isn't toxic but I know, it will be if I continue to live and behave this way. As the morning rises, they say a new day to realize but that's not the case. As the moon has dimmed the night, it illuminates my mind,. As the star shine so light, I know that I have to try. What we have is romance; it's a mutual feeling we admit to ourselves years ago under the light, beside the street lamp as we wait for the bus to stop and bring me home that night.

Almost a year, things haven't changed

Sa Mahal kong Pilipinas

Ipagpaumanhin mo ang nangyayari sa iyong mga anak. Kami’y ay nahahati sa tatlong grupo; tagasunod ng gobyerno, kaaway at neutral. Ngayon panahon ng pandemya, nasukat ang katatagan ng bawat isa. Nagtulungan upang maiaahon at masuportahan ang isa’t-isa sa kakulangan sa pagkain, gamit, gamot at iba pa. Lumipas ang ilang buwan, hindi na napigil nag pagnanais na makalabas at masilayan ang kalsadang minsang naging natahimk. Ito’y hindi upang makagala or maglakwatsa kung hindi upang maitaguyod ang bawat pares ng mata na nakakatitig sa mesa. Ang daming umaasa sa ayuda pero limitado lamang ang ating alkansya. Nagagalit ang marami sa nagpapatakbo sa samu’t-saring dahilan, personal man o pulitika. Isinisiwalat lahat ng panibugho at sakit sa iba’tibang social media. Hindi din nagpapatalo ang mga taga-suporta. Kanya-kanyang tapon ng argumentong pansangga. Ang mga neutral ang naiipit, hindi makapag desisyon kung sino ang tama o mali. Umaasa na sana maisipan naman ng bawat panig ang salitang “kumpromiso”. 

Hindi ko rin tiyak kung kelan mababalik sa ayos ang lahat. Sana sa panahon na yon, ako’y mamamayan mo pa rin bilang Pilipino. Naniniwala ako na gagawin ng bawat Pilipino kung ano na nararapat at nakakabuti sa kapwa namin. Maibabangon ka sa bawat lugmok na dala ng pandemya. Mananatiling matatag, mayaman at MALAYA.
