“I would love to. Here, take my hand. We can chat while we walk if you’d like?” Neku suggested as he extended his hand to his girlfriend.
Agnès smiled and took hold of his hand. “I would like that,” she agreed, and started walking. It was nice simply to be with someone she loved so dearly. “The air here is more humid that I am used to,” she commented. “I grew up in the desert, and even after all this time, the humidity is difficult to adjust to. But, today is so pleasant!”

Agnès turned red. “Neku! You flirt!” He was so sweet, she didn’t know what to say. Was he really okay with how things were? Surely he would miss his home eventually.
“Well... I like it here with you, too,” she confessed. “I hope that, if you ever go back, I will be able to go with you.” Would that not be grand? If she had him with her, Agnès was certain she would not get lost, and she could see what had shaped him into the person he was now.
Neku blushed at his girlfriend’s comments about his name. But did his best not to make too big of a deal about it. “Hm? Yeah. It’s strange sometimes not to hear the traffic of loads of people every day outside the window. But..it does give me a chance to think with a clear head for once.”
“Besides..my home didn’t have you. So, being here is worlds better.~” Neku even gave Agnès a cheeky smile.

There was a little sigh as Agnès gazed at the encyclopedia before her. She hadn’t seen any true desert sand in so long, she had almost forgotten what it felt like. The beach was one of her favorite places to visit because it had sand, but it wasn’t the same. The saltwater scent was strong, and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore reminded her that she was not in the desert, even with sand under her feet.
Then she realized she was not alone and gasped. “Oh, excuse me! I did not see you there.”

Agnès weighed the crystal in her palm. It was a lovely green color, reminiscent of the Wind Crystal back home. But she wasn’t sure it was a real crystal; something felt off about it. “Would you please feel this?” she asked her companion. “Perhaps I am only imagining things, but I don’t think it’s a real crystal. Can you tell?”

“Today is a beautiful day!” Agnès said cheerfully. “Why don’t we go for a walk?” She had her most comfortable boots on already, so she would be able to go far today. The weather was finally warming up enough to be outside for longer periods of time, and she was eager to enjoy it. “You will have to lead the way, however. I am afraid my sense of direction is terrible, even with a compass!”

He smiled and brought out the picture he did. Thanks to Namine’s inspiration. Neku just hoped his girlfriend liked it.

“I hope you like it.”

She took hold of it with both hands to get a good look at it. Then, it sank in and she gasped. “Oh, Neku...” Agnès held it higher to look more closely at the details. “This is beautiful! I love it, thank you.”
“Did you make this yourself, or did you commission it? Or buy it somewhere?” The moogles had many interesting shops, after all, so it wouldn’t surprise her if he went digging through them to find this. Tears prickled her eyes and she rubbed them away. “This is so kind, Neku... you’re too sweet...”

Normally, Neku didn’t allow anyone touch his headphones. But his girlfriend was different. He didn’t mind that she took them off and placed them on the side table. Though to be fair, Neku felt like a zombie. His head was pounding. Heart racing from all the coffee he had been drinking the past two weeks. And over all, he just looked like crap. With the bed cover turned back, Neku sighed slightly and turned to gently kiss Agnès’ forehead. “Thanks, Agnès..this really does mean a lot to me.” Neku casually kicked his shoes off and tucked them under the bed so no one would trip over them. Then without a second thought,he crawled into the bed. Half pulling the bed cover over his lower half. “Man..I hope I can get to sleep..’cause this really, really sucks..” Neku muttered more to himself, than to her.
Don’t thank me, not yet. We’ll see if this works.
Agnès sat and reached out to run a hand through his hair. “Go to sleep, Neku,” she whispered. “Go to sleep, and dream of me.” At the very least, he was settled in the bed, so his exhaustion shouldn’t take too long to overtake him. How he’d managed at all before, she didn’t know, but he was in a safe place now.
She began humming a hymn, hoping that it would help him. He liked music, so surely it must. Agnès kept petting his hair, again hoping the rhythmic motion would help him relax enough to sleep.

His eyes softened a little and gently rose a hand to brush his knuckles against his girlfriend’s cheek. Even if it didn’t seem like it, Neku’s heart was beating pretty fast just by being this close to Agnès. “This..is gonna sound pretty sappy, especially coming from me but..,”Neku softly chuckled as he rested his forehead against hers while whispering softy,”..I sorta think of you as a beautiful princess that deserves anything her heart desires.” He was now blushing like a cherry, but couldn’t stop smiling.”I love you, very much, Agnès.” Welp. There goes that bomb. Neku really was trying to move things slow between them. The last thing he wanted to do was scare her off. But he couldn’t help but pour his heart out to her like that.
Agnès didn’t know what to do, or what to say. “I-I am no princess,” she stammered, surprised. “I am only a Vestal, the Vestal of Wind...” But it was a nice thing to say, nonetheless. After all, princesses were girls who lived luxurious lives, who played political intrigue and led countries. She was a Vestal, raised since childhood to worship the Wind Crystal and help those who came to her.
But here was a boy, a young man, who said he loved her. Her heart raced and she wondered if this was why people did not choose the religious life. “I... oh, Neku, you’re so sweet...” It was true, he wasn’t exactly the type to speak like this - and she had seen some of his interactions with others. “I love you too.” Agnès didn’t know how it came out of her mouth, but it did, barely audible.

Her excitement made Neku feel highly amused. It was almost tempted to just pet her head,as Agnès reminded Neku of an excited puppy. Which was super adorable.
“Why don’t we start with the basics, hm? My full name is Neku Sakuraba. I was born and raised in a city called Shibuya in a country called Japan. It’s a pretty busy every day. There’s always something happening there. And it’s hardly quite. But, it’s not too bad. It’s also where you see all sorts of free lancing artists.”
“Neku Sakuraba,” she repeated. “As in... cherry blossom garden? Oh, Neku, what a sweet last name!” And it suited him so well, too. He was like a garden, all to himself, but so sweet and kind inside.
She listened, trying to imagine how busy his home was. Agnès couldn’t imagine it very much; even her experiences in Florem seemed to pale in comparison to his description. “Now you live here... it must be very quiet by comparison.”

“I don’t know how to swim!” Agnès cried, embarrassed. “How could I?” She’d lived in the desert her whole life!
Vanitas blinked, looking back at her a moment before he looked bored. Honestly… “Would you relax…? It’s not even waist deep. Besides. There are designated lifeguards here specifically to help you if you’re having trouble.” Why had she even come here if she was worried about that…??
Nope, she was getting right back out. “Do you know what you are doing, Vanitas?” she asked, feeling rather desperate. He was... all right, as far as people went. “How does it not feel strange to you?”

"Happy Valentine's"
“Why, Leon!” Agnès pulled out the squishy toy from the bag and admired it. “How kind of you. Thank you.” She was definitely not squishing it, not at all. But it was so soft...

Neku didn’t even argue with Agnès. He nodded slightly while still fighting to keep his eyes open as he forced himself up from the sofa. Leaving his now empty cup on the floor by where he sat, Neku followed his girlfriend to where the spare room might be.
Agnès looked back in concern as she led him by the arm to her other room. I hope you will rest, Neku. This sounds terrible. She pushed open the door and set him on the bed. Then, quietly, she began to help him in the only way she could think of; she gently tugged his headphones off and placed them on the bedside table, and then turned back the bed cover.
“I’ll stay until you sleep, Neku.”

He’d chuckle softly, holding his girlfriend tight in one arm. “Crazy how time flies by, huh?” Neku then gently nuzzled his cheek against hers. Enjoying feeling close to Agnes. She was pretty much the light in his life and he wanted to make sure she was always happy. “Heh, I’m glad I got to know you too. So much…that I uh..sorta made ya something. Wanna see?”
“Oh, how sweet!” She wrapped an arm around him as well, happy to feel such close contact. It took some getting used to, after her upbringing, but it was so nice when she did. “You didn’t have to, Neku, but I would be delighted to see what you have to show me.”

With a hand behind his back, Neku grins and kisses her cheek softly. "Happy anniversary and Valentine's day, Angés."
Agnès smiled brightly. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Neku!” She kissed his cheek as well, and wrapped him in a hug. “Can you believe it’s been two years already?” In a way, she couldn’t believe it at all. It still felt new to her, not at all something she was used to. “I’m so lucky to know you.”

Holding her hands Zack would dance with the other. "Any guy worth their salt can dance." Twirling her lightly he couldn't help but hug Agnés and peck her forehead. "Your man should be able to too."
“Wh-what?!” Agnès didn’t know what was happening, but it wasn’t her boyfriend and she didn’t like it. “Unhand me!” she shouted, and writhed out of his grasp. “Neku! Neku!”

Agnès looked down. Maybe he was right, and it was different. Tiz had meant the world to her; he had seen something in her that she hadn’t believed in at first. It might have been desperation in his circumstances, but he thought of her as a ray of hope. She had trusted him above anyone else, which turned out to be the right call as far as Airy was concerned.
But Neku was special to her, too, and he didn’t need to listen to this anymore. It was enough to know she had a past. “Thank you, Neku,” she said. “Someday I will have that chance. But for now, I will try to live my life in the here and now.”
He nodded slightly, holding her close. “It’s cool. Though…are you sure you don’t want to see him soon? If this guy means that much to you…I’ll do whatever I can for you to see him.” Neku was dead serious about that too.
Agnès chewed her lip. “I do want to see him, Neku. If only to know that he is alive and well. I pray for him and my friends, hoping that they are safe.” Her boyfriend was too much, however. It was kind of him to offer to help her, but that was something for her to decide on her own.
“Not now, Neku. I... I don’t think I could take it, if I returned home. What if he’s dead? Or what if he came out of his coma? I do not know. I do not want to know how it would make me feel.” If she was already this conflicted, she couldn’t imagine how it would feel should she go home.
