Real or 3D?! – Realistic Renders
3D programs like Autodesk Maya and Fusion 360 make it so we are now able to make some extremely realistic renders. People are able to make either more practical/realistic things, or make creations that can only come from our imaginations. Above is a Kalimba Tuning Hammer that I created in Autodesk Fusion 360. I then added a metal material and put it through a renderer which added those super realistic shadows and reflections.
How easy do you think it is to spot a 3D designed objects nowadays?

“The Hobbit” Custom Book Cover
Here is a Hobbit book cover illustration that I painted and designed a while back in Photoshop. The Hobbit was one of my favorite books as a child, and I loved making this mock book cover. I based my illustration on the song “The Misty Mountains Cold.” I used watercolor brushes and went with a more mellow color pallet. Let me know your thoughts.
