Purple for Fibro! Fibromyalgia Awareness Day May 12 Its been 7 years of nonstop pain, countless visits to doctors, clinics and E.R's. Years no one believed me or supported me. They told me I was crazy, i was whiney and lazy. They said It was normal, no signs or symptoms they could find, so it was all in my head. So I learned to suffer in silence. Last year in a fluke visit to a rheumatologist I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and started getting treatment. Everyday is a battle. Every minute hurts but I choose to fight through it. I deal with the pain through swimming that helps alleviate it. I don't take the pills anymore because they slow me down and cloud my always foggy mind.
