thinking about omegaverse winterhawk where they’re both alphas. bucky smells like gasoline-soaked snow, clint smells like coffee and firewood. i’m so normal about them

Revenge eats away at you. It’s supposed to be you that takes your revenge, but instead it’s the revenge that takes: your sleep, your happiness, your peace of mind. You’d think it’d be the loss that would take those things, but it just buries them deep, promising they’ll sprout again in time. Revenge buries them in concrete.

It ain’t Clint, on his doorstep. Not really.

He’s gaunt and pared down, strung tight and pulled taut, like everything that ain’t about getting back at the world has been patiently carved away. His hair is buzzed short and he’s got a new scar that curves from his temple back behind his ear. Bucky wants to get his mouth on it, the way he always used to. Even after everything. He wants to know how many lines he’s never traced with his tongue now decorate Clint’s skin.

“You done?” He asks, and it’s abrupt and it’s unwelcoming, ‘Cos this is a script he never wanted to learn. He’s got everything warm and safe and steady behind him, tucked behind the door he pulled almost closed, and he’s accepted that Clint’s never gonna be one of those things again.

Only Clint doesn’t answer right away. Usually he slaps Bucky straight down, businesslike and cold, asks for whatever the hell he thinks he needs. Bucky won’t give him weapons, won’t give him anything that’ll likely make him hurt, but he’ll provide food and shelter and money if it’ll keep Clint alive. Old time’s sake.

Only this time Clint doesn’t answer right away. He shifts his weight, and lifts one hand to rub at the back of his neck, an old mannerism that disappeared long since. He’s looking at Bucky’s front yard, at the uneven concrete that’s cracked over time, at the shoots of green that Bucky’s too softhearted to pave back over.

“Clint,” Bucky says again, and his tone this time is a little cracked open, a little hopeful-green, “you done?”

i play clint as a kind of mix of the mcu, fraction/aja & 616, although i do prefer to roleplay storylines in the mcu. i can adapt to whatever!

if you’re down for something more complex and long term, i’m hoping to build up a lot of relationship dynamic stuff as we go. i find it a lot more fun letting the relationship build naturally through both text + lit rp to establish fun plot lines and such. i’m down to discuss ideas in dms!

wanted to also put some au stuff out there… i’ve been a little obsessed with modern aus lately (ex-some-kind-of-military-maybe-prisoner-of-war bucky, up to you, and retired special-ops clint). he’d basically be the tactical branch of the CIA or whatever that carries out clandestine assignments that other branches don’t have the clearance or experience for. no superhero or supervillain stuff, (so no HYDRA or S.H.I.E.L.D on the guys’ parts,) they’re just regular guys with fucked up pasts. stark industries would still exist, just as a tech company! so that could be an explanation for bucky’s arm. i’ve got some prompts cooked up! if you’d rather me message you my discord tag instead of you messaging me, feel free to just like or reblog this and i’ll contact ya!
