Shiro steadied his breathing the best he could, focusing on her words, her touch. Her hand was cold and grounding. His hand shook, the mechanical of the two seeming to vibrate with the force of his trembling. Just hearing that she wasn't Galra tech calmed him slightly...the panic still burning in the back of his throat.

"Sorry," he all but whispered, voice strained. "There's a lot...going on there. And if they'd found us like this, if they'd gotten into the ship and they were on the wrong side of the coalition..." he was starting to spiral again, but tried to snap himself out of it. Tried to bring himself back down to reality.

Shiro frowned, disappointed in himself for these actions, but with the struggle of the day, and the struggle of life in general lately, he was ready to implode at any moment. His heart rate still skyrocketed, showing next to no signs of slowing down any time soon. His face paled.

"I'll be back to check on you, okay? I need to lie down..." he looked as if he was going to collapse at the slightest breeze.
