Rat Knight is a hypothetical distortion for Liar, yes! Abnormalities are a sort of physical entity that are manifestations of humanity's thoughts, emotions and desires that can't be killed; distortions are more human- usually resulting someone hitting some sort of negatively emotional boiling point and warping into an abnormality-like entity. (In theory, enduring through can manifest EGO, but most people distort and cant recover from that without some sort of specialized help) While rat king doesn't... have any sort of mental power of people's inherent outlook, or brainwashing, it does have a sort of aura that brings certain emotions that are there to the surface, which in most people just manifests as frustration or irritation, but in some pushes them more to act out. More or less, it inspires people that would normally passively accept a bad situation to 'do something drastic' She could use a bit more work... heres a version of the Rat Knight based on the nuckelavee just so she can have her own folk myth creature theming :)

Regarding Artfight...

My participation this year will likely be minimum, if much at all. I'm very busy, and also, admittedly- just not mentally in a great spot with art and have quiet of bit of burnout/likely depression thats been building up and taking its toll That said, a lot of people have expressed a desire to draw fanart of some of my characters, and were looking forward to doing so over artfight- so I do plan to leave them up so that anyone who truly wants to draw fanart can at least get some points for them. I do still want to do some attacks ideally, but ultimately just draw them if you really wanted to. I'd like you to get points for it if so! With that said... I'll be on the bone team :) Thanks for the understanding, hope I can still do at least some small attacks

this might be a bit of a weird question, but i promise it's genuine and in good faith!

since your artwork is used for the official remix options for rain world, how do you feel about other people imitating your art style?

when DP first released i thought it was fun to see people uploading mods using lineless artwork as the thumbnail, but i was curious to know how you felt about it

(i'm making a mock thumbnail for a character, and didn't want to proceed if this was something that bothered you!)

This is actually something I thought about a bit, and while I've always been open to people taking inspiration from me- contending with the idea of someone actually trying to imitate me directly did give me a pause. But like you said- with my work and style used for official stuff, many people will see my art without seeing/knowing me, and many people will likely want to try and copy it. Not out of any malicious or drive to like, steal my style, or whatever- but simply because they are trying to match an element of something they like. I think its fine. I absolutely encourage people who like my style to take elements from it, but I also encourage them to find their own footing and build out their own style. As for direct attempts to match it, well, its official! People want to try and match the official work, especially with things like mod uploads which is where it gets used. Its understandable it happens and as long as people aren't actually attempting to pass themselves off as me in any way shape or form I think I'm fine with it. That can be covered very naturally by just having your own stylistic flare that's clearly not in line with the mod menu art (something I would file under 'inspired' rather than 'imitating') or by making it clear that something is a study/attempt at imitation/done by yourself/referencing etc.

(I think I would also like to ask that such attempts to look 'official' don't extend to NSFW work, although I imagine that isn't something many are considering doing. No shade to NSFW artists in general, but I don't think you should be trying to look like someone else's work for that medium. I've seen it before though.)

Gris doing graffiti parkour fits so well somehow.

Makes me think of her climbing up to a hard to reach spot and leaving graffiti there to commemorate it (like a signature or just Gris was here or something like that). No one sees it except the occasional maintenance worker thinking about how the hell somebody got up there

'Heaven Spot' is a slang term for particularly hard to reach (or more notably, dangerous) locations for graffiti & tagging (Theres a couple layers to that name- the difficulty of removing the work, the likelihood that these are high reaching, precarious spots, etc) - obviously within that sort of hobby there is a sort of prestige (or rather... cool factor? for a lot of people) in being able to place work there. Its dangerous as fuck for a number of reasons to be going for that... but Cyan lizards are known for their jumps (and also uh... platforming incidents) and having a character that could doing all sorts of tricks to get to those places others simply couldn't felt fun! I think shes a bit of hunter for the dangerous spots (even for her) As for graffiti... well, I just like it. and the cyan lizard smoke from jumping feels like it matches spray cans pretty well haha. And if you can get up there easier than the average lizard well, I bet you can do more than throwups and tags
