Great for movement for shoulders. . Tips for execution: . 1️⃣ Set up in an athletic stance. Where your feet are shoulder width apart. 👀 Eyes forward and core tight. . 2️⃣ Start the movement by placing your hand on either side of the plate and raising it slowly. . 3️⃣Raise the plate without swinging it and stop plate to eye level. . 4️⃣ Slowly return the plate to the starting position. You can the light in your darkness. . Some think that’s someone, something or money is just going to come out of the universe when everything is going wrong. . I hate to break it to you, but unless you are working daily to change your focus from what’s wrong to what is light, it may not happen. . The two days I tried to commit suicide, something in my gut told me to tell someone. . I could have not listened to that voice and I would not be here today. . The point of this post is for you to realize that in order for your world to improve and change, you have to acknowledge where you are at. . Afterwards, you have to start taking steps to make it better. . No one is going to make you do anything. . Only you have the power to show up powerfully in your own life and allow others to help you. . Don’t be afraid to ask for help, no matter what you are going through. . There is lessons that need to be learned from the experience that you can share afterwards and be able to connect with people with. . My friend, remember you are not alone. . Great for pre-activation before squats, cleans, deadlifts or anything that requires good upper body posture. . Tips for execution: . 1️⃣ Set up in an athletic stance. Feet shoulder width apart or slightly wider. 👀 Eyes forward. I recommend either straight ahead or towards the kettlebell. Core tight. 💪Play around with this, don’t go super wide or defeats the purpose. . 2️⃣ Start the movement by pushing your hips back and reach out to grab the kettlebell in front of you. . 3️⃣ Your hips should be level with your head or slightly below. Keep a neutral back posture (straight line from head to glutes). . 4️⃣ Pull the kettlebell underneath you with your lats. Your forearms will touch the inner thighs as you pull back. Fiercely looking at 2018 and all my goals to be accomplished. . With that being said, that isn’t the whole picture. . Part of me is scared and scared 💩less I might add. . I fear I’ll stay in this same spot in my life, no progress, same amount of debt, same RV, and no growth. . It is important to realize that fear is a natural part of life. . We have two reactions normally. . Fight👊😡 or flight🕊. . When we break it down our body brings this energy up into our life and body to do one of those two things. . Then this begs the question: ❓ . Can you shift this energy and use it to take action?♻️ . Yes, you can! . With mindfulness and taking action, you can. . Give me ice cream or give me liberty. . Okay, in all seriousness, what is with extremism? . At times, I do believe it is necessary in order to make a drastic change or part of your personality in order to be successful. . But that is a small number of people and not everyone!!! . Why do we cut out the things we love then get mad at ourselves when we can no longer say no to ourselves and over indulge? . How about we try moderation of the things and learn about to still incorporate them and still make progress? . There is a few different ways to do this (my clients and I have tried them all and use them all): • Flexible Dieting (macro counting) • Eat the rainbow • Intuitive Eating . The main thing is try create a lifestyle that works for you and your goals. . Not what works for your neighbor, mother, boyfriend, friend, etc. . What works for you! . Sadly, it’s not One-size-fits-all. . But that would take all of the fun out of it wouldn’t it. . Anywho, don’t give up if you haven’t found what works for you yet! You will! . . . Dumbbell Pull Over . . This is one of my favorite back movements and it also hits most of your body due to position you have to hold to perform it. . You can execute this exercise with your shoulders on a bench. . Squeeze your glutes to hold your body straight from your knees to your head. . Drive your feet into the ground and turn your feet out slightly to help you stabilize. . Pull the Dumbbell over your body until it is above your chest then lower back down (only as far as you can with mostly straight arms). . Use your lats/back to move the Dumbbell rather than your triceps. . Keep a slight bend in your arms. . Pull your elbows in slightly as the Dumbbell comes over your body.
