Tada~ I’ve been meaning to draw Tsuna with the twins for ages now, and finally got around to it! The lyrics are from the song “Home” from RWBY.
(This is actually my first attempt at drawing Tsuna now that I’m thinking about it...)

Chapter Excerpt
A/N - So I’ve had most of this chapter written for a long while now, just never got round to finishing it... So here’s a long belated preview (of sorts) of the next chapter of “Prelude to Inheritance”. This one being from Yoshitaka’s POV (and hopefully gives some insight into his character...)
....................................................
Sawada Yoshitaka had no desire to stand out. He did not want to be particularly fantastic at anything, or to suck spectacularly in any way either. To be perfectly average, just another face in the crowd, completely comfortably anonymous, that was his goal.
In summary: normal.
Just. Plain. Normal.
Is that really so much to ask? How is it that so many other people manage it, but not him? He tries so hard and yet always seems to either undershoot or overshoot, never hitting the mark. It’s not fair.
Taka is sick of standing out.
That’s why he’s so grateful for Tou-chan’s sudden decision to move them to Japan. This is the perfect opportunity to start fresh. No one would know him here. Better yet, no one would know his family here. He can be anyone he wants to be, and Taka wants to be a complete nobody.
It was almost perfect. Almost, if not for one thing...
He looked over to where his brother was trying to convince their aunt to let him take his creepy cat to school. (Not that he was putting up much of an argument.)
This was a disaster waiting to happen.
It’s not like he hates his brother or anything! It’s just that he’s so, so... weird. No matter where they were or who they were with, Giulio always stood apart from the crowd. He never fit in anywhere, and always drew attention to himself (and to Taka by association) in the worst ways.
If the world was a puzzle, Giulio was that odd left over piece that belonged to a different puzzle but had somehow got mixed up by mistake. Problem was you couldn’t find the original puzzle his piece belonged to, so it just gets left behind or thrown away. And Taka was always the one left to pick the pieces in the end...
It really wasn’t all that fair considering he was technically the younger twin here. Not that being younger or older by a few minutes added up to much in the grant scheme of things, but still!
Taka couldn’t stop the sigh of relief as they left finally the house, and the cat, behind.
He doesn’t care what anyone else thinks. He knows there is something wrong with that animal! It’s in the way it looks at you, like it can see into your very soul, and is deciding whether to devour it now or save it for later. The fact its eyes don’t match makes the whole effect worse. For all they know, it’s probably an alien in disguise or something!
Where did Tou-chan even find that thing, and how could he possibly have thought it'd make a good pet!?
He smoothed down the front of his uniform and tried not to think about the miniature monster waiting for them when they get home.
Taka likes uniforms. Liked that it meant everyone matched. Liked that even the definition of “uniform” was: to remain the same at all times. You cannot be judged based on what you wear if you are all wearing the same thing.
Unless you’re the kind of person who somehow manages to fall flat on your face every five minutes, effectively ruining your brand new clothes... Taka was not that kind of person. Three guesses who was...
He tried to swallow back that flicker of dread as he caught the sight of Giulio colliding with an electric pole in the corner of his vision. He kept expecting to hear that sickening crunch of bones breaking, but it never came. No matter how much he told himself it was silly, he couldn’t stop himself from envisioning the worst.
Not since that time he witnessed his brother fall out of a tree and practically shattered everything on his left side.
It had always been like that. Giulio would be doing something perfectly ordinary, like running down the hall, next thing you knew he was on the ground with a broken arm or leg or whatever. He even broke his wrist just by throwing a ball too hard once.
Tou-chan tried to explain it to him once; his brother had a condition that meant his bones were super fragile compared to other kids. Or something like that... It’s why he stayed home with private tutors, where it was easier to keep an eye on him, instead of going to school with Taka.
He had broken a bone once. His femur. Afterwards, Uncle Gokudera told him that breaking the femur was one of the worst pains a human being could endure. Taka believes him; at the time, he genuinely thought he was going to die. The next few months after were not fun either.
Giulio had broken pretty much every bone in his body, some more than once, in several different places too! It took a lot of force to break his femur. With Giulio, it hardly took anything.
Taka will never forget the sound it made as the bone snapped under pressure, the way it felt, that moment of quiet before his brain registered the pain. And that was just one bone. Really, it’s no wonder Giulio was such a weirdo. After breaking so many bones, the pain must have fried his brain...
But one thing he had learned from the experience was that broken bones will heal back twice as strong. By now Giulio probably had a skeleton as strong as iron. Just like Wolverine.
The X-men were either worshiped as heroes, or treated like freaks. Always standing out, no matter what...
His brother nearly stacked it again, and Taka’s heart leapt to his throat, but this time he managed to stay on his feet. Honestly, it was much better before when they lived in a house so huge that he didn’t see his brother for days on end. Now they lived together in tighter space and he was forced to watch every fall, every near miss.
One day, Giulio is going to fall down and break his neck, or split his skull open.
Taka prays to every deity above that he is not there to witness it. He doesn’t think he could handle that kind of mental trauma...

I made a start on rewriting “The Inheritance Project”! Each chapter also includes some cover art. It’s also cross-posted to ff.net (which does not let you post art, or do a lot of things actually...)
(Actually, I did it a while ago, I just forgot to mention it here...)

I’m randomly into KHR again! I drew this while procrastinating and ended up putting way more effort into it than I had planned... (Still can’t believe how good it turned out.)
Anyway, I’m thinking of rewriting “The Inheritance Project”, mostly coz I don’t remember where I was going with the last story, and I really want to make some major changes to the characters and plot. For starters, I’ve renamed these two. They are now Sawada Giulio (left), and his twin is Sawada Yoshitaka (right). I’ve written a bunch of notes and have made a start on the story, so maybe we’ll actually get something posted sooner or later. I’m aiming to have at least a few chapters before Christmas.

And lastly its Sawada Cielo (AKA “Dame Sora”) the 11th gen Vongola Boss! There is a reason his eyes are different, and it will eventually be explained in the story...
(Still using bases...)

Mizuno Yuki is the 11th gen Rain Guardian. She initially didn’t have much going on in terms of backstory until I remembered this old idea I had for a story way back when I was into this baseball anime.

Kasumi Allaire is the 11th gen Mist Guardian. I can’t quite remember why I named her that, but I vaguely recall it might be a fake name...? Or maybe she was supposed to be part Japanese... (I mention it somewhere in the story that she’s from France)

Son E. Dae is the 11th gen Sun Guardian, the oldest of the bunch and probably the weirdest. I don’t picture him ever revealing his eyes, and he has a collection of hats, beanies and bandanas, always wearing a different one each day...

XI Box Animals
Like it says on the tin, just a look at what box animals the Vongola 11th gen might have...
Sawada Cielo: A twin-tailed fox
Kasumi Allaire: Butterflies
Rita Tuono: A hare or rabbit
Gokudera Azusa: A white tiger or snow leopard
Mizuno Yuki: A husky dog or wolf
Hibari Kai: A black panther, or maybe a mouse, or a raven/crow
Son E. Dae: A moose, or stag, or elk

This is Rita Tuono, my 11th gen lightning guardian. I don’t know why she has green hair, it just sort of ended up this way and now I can’t picture her any other way...

TADA!!! Finally got my drawing stuff sorted out~ :) Here’s a sort of redesign for Hibari Kai, mostly since all my older versions of him never quite looked right...
(I did use a base here too though... I still suck at proportions and stuff...)

Just wanted to talk a bit about the relationships between some the 11th gen characters. Mostly since I never got around to introducing love interests or any kind of sexual tension, but it was implied that most of Cielo’s guardians had romantic feelings for him to a point.
(Should point out there are some spoilers ahead... but romantic relationships aren’t really a huge part of the story, so it should be okay...)
I feel that Sawada Cielo is probably demisexual, as in, he does not feel any sexual attraction to anyone unless they’re already very close. Most people seemed to ship him with his best friend Hibari Kai, and while these two are indeed very close, I see their relationship as being is purely platonic.
Kai may develop romantic feeling for Cielo, though I don’t think he’ll ever act upon them. I remember I had some plots in mind where Kai was quietly pining over Cielo, but would eventually develops feelings for Kasumi. I don’t see them ever “officially” dating or having any kind of stable long term relationship, but I can see them being the kind of couple that is perfectly comfortable dating on and off for random periods of time. Both are quite distant and anti-social people after all.
Gokudera Azusa starts off developing a huge crush on Cielo (so big that she went ahead and plotted out their lives together as both Vongola Boss and Right hand woman, as well as their “married life”). But she eventually figures out it was just a bit of a childish crush in the end. I feel that Azusa would be very confused over her sexuality and angst a lot over it for many years. Eventually she would figure herself out (I feel she’s probably bisexual), and either end up in a relationship with Mizuno Yuki or meet, fall in love and marry another man/woman.
Yuki would probably spent a lot more time figuring herself out, rather than thinking about relationships. For a long time, she doesn’t feel comfortable in her own skin and really starts to have some issues with her gender. Yuki’s mistakes her feelings for Cielo as love, but in time comes to realise they’re purely platonic in nature. Its more to do with the fact he was the first person to look at her and not judge or make assumptions based on her gender. I don’t see Yuki in a long term relationship, except maybe she could end up with Azusa, or she may one day meet a special someone to spend the rest of her life with.
Son E. Dae... Well, Sunny’s story is a bit complicated, but he is actually already engaged to someone when he first appears in the story. Its an arranged marriage, and he is quite good friends with his fiance. I think it takes many years of him “finding himself” before he returns home to confront this issue. They talk it over and in the end, decide they’re actually totally okay with this arrangement. Still, they spent many years living together being engaged before they actually get married. They’re also probably have the most stable relationship out of everyone.
Rita Tuono is a bit of a spoilt princess, and is set on the idea of finding her “Prince Charming”. For a long time she thinks Cielo is that Prince... But, funnily enough, her story is the simplest. She falls in love with a very ordinary man: an office worker at that. He is humble, shy, and very sweet, but altogether quite boring. Most of the time, she is the one who has to play the part of the “knight in shining armor” and swoop in to save him! Despite this, to Rita, he is her Prince and they love each other deeply (and thats all that really matters in the end). Also, Fuuta has ranked them as being in the top three most lovey-dovey couples.
Masamune’s love life quite similar to how Tsuna’s was in the anime/manga. Except, Masamune started out popular and, well, not “Dame”. He has a huge crush on Sasagawa Emi (Ryohei and Hana’s daughter) but she rejects him, due to not liking his attitude, and also just being plain uninterested in dating. But when Reborn comes along, she grows interested in Masamune and they become friends. It takes years before Masamune works up the courage to ask her out again, and this time she agrees to date him. They probably break up and get back together again several times over the years, but do eventually decide they’re right for each other.
And we’re back to Cielo. I never got a chance to introduce Kozato Honoka in the story, but she is Cielo’s love interest. They were childhood friends when he lived in Italy, but due to a traumatic event Cielo doesn’t remember her by the time the main story starts. This relationship probably won’t happen for a long time, due to Cielo being uninterested in that kind of thing and also lots of other things get in the way... (One day he’ll just suddenly realise “Holy shit, I’m in love with this girl!” and have absolutely no idea what to do with these entirely foreign feelings.) I feel that their relationship is full of misunderstandings and angst, and they really have to work hard for it. But when they do start to work things out, its like they’re made for each other.

So, its the girls this time. Used a base (again). Actually, I kinda like this one. A few lines messed up here and there, and Yuki’s hair and clothes could be improved, but otherwise I think this had turned out pretty good.

Here’s a sort of attempt at a cover I did a while ago for “And All the Heroes Die”, another fic I’m writing. Ya can probably tell I didn’t use a base for this, and I suck at clothing and hair... also hands... Still, I think it was pretty good, though I kinda want to redraw this (...still gotta fix stuff with my tablet though...)
