TS4-to-TS2: 140 Traits (Sims 2)

Published: 2-15-2025 | Updated: N/A SUMMARY Here are 140-ish traits converted from Sims 4 to Sims 2. While there are hundreds of traits in Sims 4, many redundant items were eliminated for this project, and some were edited for clarity. Certain supernatural, health, and death-related traits will be made available in separate downloads. Find other trait-related content on this site under the #co2traits tag. At the time of this post, these are for storytelling/completion purposes only. These are TOKENS ONLY – they do not alter sims/gameplay on their own. If/when they are incorporated in mods, their custom function(s) will depend on the mods in question.

Ok fuck it I don't think many people follow me here but I need help deciding which project to work on

"Truth-seekers move to Strangeview hoping to discover the secrets the town holds. Do aliens live among us? Do missing Sims mysteriously appear here? In this town nothing is what it seems."

We're FINNALY back with the final version of the Strangeview - new playable neighborhood based on @budgieflitter crazy idea to mix Pleasantview and Strangeview into one. The neighborhood comes in two versions: V1 With Bella as a townie as in Clean Pleasantview V2 With missing Bella as in OG Pleasantview (based on April Black video, debunking how it's actually done, that Bella is missing) The neighborhood is for UC or LC; it is a maxis match neighborhood, except 4 recommended mods/CC below. The townies and sims have slightly updated looks to match the Strangetown vibe. Almost every lot was build by @peanuttysims and I think he did an AMAZING job. He've got such a talent!!! Every house is a combination of both family houses of OG sims. The Neighborhood comes with a few new lots, every one of them is done in Strangetown vibe. There is crappy "Gas Station"; Trailer Park as a apartment lot; Club/Restaurant in the old factory; a Strangeview Cemetery with a few graves of the deceased; a Pleasantview park made into Strangetown climate.

RECOMMENDED MODS & CUSTOM CONTENT:

A mod "Watch TV from all chairs" https://modthesims.info/d/462269/watch-tv-from-all-chairs.html There could be problems with sims not-sitting while watching TV. This mod fixes it.

There MAY be problem with Lilith having a normal eyes, while she should have ALIEN eyes. Sometimes game bugs out like this when an alien is a teenager. THE SIMS 3 STORE PRE-INSTALLED

Today marks 25 years of The Sims. Since EA forgot TS3 exists, I’m releasing the entire The Sims 3 Store as an Anniversary Gift. It's all pre-installed and works flawlessly!

It comes with all available fixes and collection folders I’ve personally created for every set. You'll get over 5000 new Buy/Build and CAS items, 11 new worlds, and tons of new gameplay!

INSTRUCTIONS

Go to "Documents/Electronic Arts" and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (or move it).

Create a new folder and name it "The Sims 3" (or whatever the name is in your language).

Extract the contents of the ZIP file in "The Sims 3." Now launch the game.

You'll have to adjust your setting again. Don't forget to disable the in-game Store so you don't get duplicates.

Quit the game. Copy the "Saves" folder from the folder you have previously renamed. You can also copy your Mods and CC in package format.

CAUTION

Never copy over or overwrite the DCCache folder.

If you have content installed through the Launcher (Sims3Pack), you'll have to reinstall it.

I strongly recommend you don't install things through the Launcher from now. It already has a lot of content and it is a known fact the Launcher becomes more and more unstable the more content it has to handle.

Since the entire Store has been decrapified, if you want to install lots or world that contain Store content, you'll have to decrapify those too using MATY's TS3 Recompressor.

I wish I could get reshade working on sims 2 so bad but every time I try it crashes so my game pictures are fated to look bad because I don't have the patience to edit them

Like personally I always wanted home businesses and yeah I get that it should have been included with get to work, it sucks that it wasn't but honestly I am excited for it, of course maybe I will be disappointed by it in the end but I like to remain cautiously optimistic

Hello! Here I am, buggin' you with a Sims 2 CC question lol! Just wondering if you know... If I've made Sims, then decide to replace the default hairs with CC hairs, will/could that cause issues with the Sims I've already made? I vaguely recall Sims 2 CC being finicky with stuff like that. I'm hoping to avoid corrupting my save ;;

As far as I know from my own experience the only thing that will happen is that your existing sims hair will be changed to the defaults, this won't break the game don't worry, with defaults just be sure to not have two files that change the same thing

The goal of my medieval hood is to play the ultimate decades challenge that was created for the sims 4 on the sims 2, the rules are easy to adapt since it doesn't rely on things that sims 4 has that sims 2 doesn't. But the challenge I set for myself is that I wanted it to be the whole hood progressing through time, so every rotation equals one year and we will see how far can I get before my game explodes
