🚀📘 Monday Musings: Quick Cause & Effect Tips! 📘🚀
Happy Monday, fabulous families! Let's kickstart the week with some brainpower! 🧠💥
Dive into cause & effect with these easy steps:
🎯Question Time: Learn together with your child by asking "Why?" and "What happened next?" more often. This helps trace the sequence from cause to effect!
🎯Story Detective: While reading or telling stories, pause and discuss what led to key events.
🎯Real-Life Connections: Connect everyday situations to their outcomes. Why did that glass break? What happens after we water plants? 🎯 Experiment Fun: Simple home experiments can show cause and effect in action- like what happens when you mix baking soda and vinegar. 🎯 Reflect journal: Encourage writing or drawing about daily events and their causes/effects.
Let's light up this week with curiosity and fun! Here’s to a week of discovery and learning! 🌟

Do you know the most common communication mistakes in classrooms? Relating too much information, with not enough time devoted to connecting the dots.
Expertise doesn't guarantee good teaching.
As Dr.John Medina says in his Brain Rules book, most experts are so familiar with their topic that they forget what it is like to be a novice. Even if they remember, experts can become quickly bored with having to repeat the fundamentals over and over again. A lot of professors forget that the information brand new to students and that they need time to digest it...
That's why we train our teachers how to divide the material in small peaces and align their tutoring speed with the pace that would be both comfortable and a bit challenging for students.
But anyway even if it's the best teacher in the earth it doesn't 100% guaranteed your child likes him. That's why it's better to try the class first.

Facebook is building a metaverse and distance learning is gaining traction. What are the pros and cons of this form of study?
Pros:
1. You can determine the child's workload and choose the best time for his study
2. The child can learn from anywhere in the world, wherever you are
3. A personalized approach to each child
4. You save a LOT of time on driving!
5. Flexible curriculum - no need to spend time on the topics your child knows already and focus on problem areas
6. Because of private or very small-group format distance learning outcomes are much higher than those of a traditional school.
Now let's look at the cons:
1. Motivation to learn must be stronger because a discipline needed to show up on time
2. No face-to-face interaction.
We deal with the first cons very easily. Our teachers base their learning on the interests of the child, so it is interesting for children to study the chosen subject. Their motivation grows because they are interested.
But the second disadvantage is more significant - live communication is necessary for the development of the child. That's why we recommend to combine online and in-person interaction with other kids.
What do you think about distance learning? What other pros and cons do you see?

4 phrases to tell your child more often:
1. I love you
We often say this to young children, but as soon as they become teenagers, we forget to tell them this. It is important that this phrase can be expanded: "I love you even when I am angry or upset”We often say this to young children, but as soon as they become teenagers, we forget to tell them this. It is important that this phrase can be expanded: "I love you even when I am angry or upset”
2. I'm honest with you (I'm telling you the truth)
We teach children to lie. "It won't hurt," but here - bam! - your child did feel the needle and it did hurt. The child perceives this as a sign: it's ok to lie. So tell your child that it will hurt, but it will be quick.
3. I am sad / happy / bad / good / hurt
How do you respond to question How are you? We used to respond "I'm fine", and then we are surprised why our child doesn't speak about his feelings. Therefore, always describe how you are feeling, at least inside your family. You do care about a mood of every family member, don't you?
4. Try it yourself, and if necessary, I will help you.
Always give your child the opportunity to learn on his/her own. Just be there when he/she really needs your help.

Did you know that the first programmer was a woman - Ada Lovelace? She was the one who wrote the algorithm for the analytical aggregator in the 19th century - the progenitor of the modern computer. She developed a sequence of operations to solve a problem, which, in fact, is writing a code. 😊🙌

Homeschooling - from idea to action.
We just had an amazing talk with Yulia Turchaninova about homeschool education - https://fb.watch/8Q4MrVibXW/
OMG! I had an insight today! I realized the core reason of why so many adults are so reluctant for a new knowledge, and learning something new is so hard for them. They have a strong inner believe they know everything already - of course they do, they studied at school! And it's unacceptable for them to think 16 years they spent in school and college were in vain...
I can't express all my thoughts in one post - so please, listen it.
I would appreciate your opinion in comments 🙏, how many dads and moms are with us?
Yulia has 40+ years of teaching experience in middle, high school and college as a Physics teacher, twice mother, three times grandmother, homeschooled veteran and founder of Education Without School and Parental College.
