Inspired by the qilin 🦌—a mythological creature from East Asia that symbolizes gentleness, transformation, and protection.

This being came out of a character design exercise using paper collage ✂️

Something between a deer, a river, and a quiet guardian.

I’m drawn to creatures that walk slowly, live in strangeness, and bring softness.
