"Year of Dragon"

linocut

After drawing my Lunar New Year illustration, I wanted to create a linocut print and made this a couple months ago. There was a lot of work done with carving the scales and keeping areas clean during the process of printing, but I'm very happy with how it came out!

Screenprint version of an illustration I made in college of my wuxia characters! Still one of my favorite illustrations I made, and I really like how it looks as a print with the inverted hair.

"Serenade for Wandering Spirits"

varied edition of hand-colored stone lithographs

These were the last stone lithographs I printed before graduating! I mostly used my bard and ghost characters for my animation classes, but I was happy to make a print of them ❤ While I printed these a while ago, I only just finished them up last month by handcoloring them all with watercolor. I think adding watercolor really made them more lively! I also couldn't decided on one color combination so I made a varied edition. Which version is your favorite?

"Raven in the Moonlight" // "Maiden in the Forest"

5-layer reduction woodcut

A pair of reduction woodcut prints I made back in 2021 with my characters, the raven lady and lantern maiden. I wanted them to complement each other, so I made their compositions inverses of each other and used the same combination of 5 colors. I was nervous since it was my first time doing a reduction print, in which you use the same block to print and carve away for each successive layer, but I'm happy with how they came out!

My work for the Sephiroth Mini-Bang run by @sephirothevents 🎉 I was partnered with the talented @dyradoodles and @aerisleis-fics and had so much fun working with both of them! Dyra and I both illustrated scenes for Aeris's fic, Captured in Wutai, so please go give it a read!!

I was going to finish a new icon for the new year, but then she took over my brain 😳

Mona is from @sofacomix​‘s story “Ties”! She’s one of my favorite characters and she commits many crimes, especially against my other favs 😭 The full body drawing of her is based on a picture from insta of Marina singing.

Aerith wearing one of Ditonellapiaga’s dresses from Festival di Sanremo 2022! I think it suits her. I actually finished this in the summer and wanted to post it with a matching Cloud and Sephiroth, but I still haven’t finished them so I’ll just post her before the year ends 😊

Medium exploration from my editorial illustration class last year: first is acrylic and colored pencil, second linocut relief, and third digital. My favorite is the linocut, but it was really interesting figuring out how I would approached the same subject in different ways. Big thanks to my friend @sofacomix for modeling everything for me!
