You've been working at the Butterfly Estate for two years, tending to all the injured slayers and taking care of them as Shinobu's assistant. She taught you all about medicine and how to treat injuries, severe as they may be.

Due to being one of the few nurses in the estate, you already know the faces and names of all the young hunters that were brought into the infirmary. You would sometimes chat with them and keep them company, so that they wouldn't get too bored by being bedridden for weeks on end.

But there’s one demon hunter that has piqued your interest, lately, and while you have no idea as to why he caught your eye one thing’s for sure: there’s something about him that intrigues you. He is none other than the younger brother of the Wind Pillar himself: Shinazugawa Genya.

His cheeks would instantly blush in a hundred red hues the moment he catches a glimpse of you rounding the corner to get to his room, and he’d frantically turn his head away in embarrassment.

You notice his ears flushing a bright red too, whenever you drop by to give him his medication for the day and change his bandages. He’d only answer your questions with a nod or a shake of his head then, not trusting his voice and unable to look at you directly.

Since Genya is bedridden, you're the one who's supporting him and feeding him for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Of course, the poor boy can’t help but blush furiously and would only hang his head in order not to see your face.

At times you find it hard not to tease him, curious to see if there are any other reactions you could gauge from the boy ー so you would call out his name for no reason, or poke his cheek to grab his attention; and hopefully, have him finally look at you in the eyes properly.

Every night, you would try to take a peek inside his room to see if he's already sleeping. However, you would only see him staring at the window looking at the moon brightly shining in the sky. You don't know what's been inside his mind but you're completely aware that his mind is preoccupied with something.

That being said, you'd try to talk to him and accompany him despite the fact that he didn't even say anything. When Genya suddenly sees you barging inside, he hastily tries to keep himself calm but his nervousness around girls is too overwhelming, so he miserably fails to hide how fidgety he becomes when you're beside him.

But as days goes on, Genya’s nervousness starts to mellow out when you're around since he's gotten used to your presence, and you’re often (if not always) the one treating his injuries and keeping him company. He still feels some sort of shame when you look at him in the eyes and he just can’t help but avert his gaze.

Nonetheless, Genya is finally comfortable with you and he can actually talk to you without stuttering too much. He would give you a small smile and utter a soft thanks before you leave his room and attend to your duties outside the infirmary. And whenever you pat his head, his heart would instantly skip a beat and his face would fume in embarrassment.

When you're out of his sight, and he is out of yours, he’d immediately cover his face with his blankets and flush fifty shades of red.

After he gets discharged, Genya would search for you all over the estate to express his gratitude to you by giving you some sweets. Upon finally seeing you, Genya will try to hide his blushing face and look at his shuffling feet as he hands you the bundle of treats that he’s gotten for you.

“I just want to thank you for... taking care of me all this time,” he says, without looking at you. You only stare at him with surprise etched all over your face before flashing him a smile.

“Thank you, Gen-chan!”

And that's how your friendship with him began.

that being said, we – namely me and niji, because we have no impulse control – have a plethora of other characters we really like (cough the entire cast cough), but kohaku and momo are much more lowkey than us two.

kohaku’s loyalties mainly lie in tanjiro and zenitsu, whereas momo has a soft spot for muichiro and genya (when she’s not thinking about sabito)!

Hello, everyone!

This is a new writing blog for Kimetsu no Yaiba / Demon Slayer, as you might have already realized from our blog's name! We are a group of four tight-knit friends from different countries (and continents, even!) who have found a family in each other thanks to our mutual interest in this fandom, so one day we thought, why not write for it together?

So here we are, with our sideblog's grand opening! All four of us love a little anonimity on the world wide web, but you can learn a bit about us here. (We are all clowns. Don't be fooled by the alignments.)
