Holy crap! It’s a Domestic Partners update.
Need to refresh since I haven’t updated since September. Read it from the beginning.
It took me so long because Blainiac is finally revealed, and she’s pissed about the wedding. Yes, I said she. Thanks @ericdooley for helping me make it coherent. Any mistakes are mine because I NEVER Stop 🛑 editing. Like ever.

Machines of Loving Grace (Author: Airy_nothing / Artist: Magicalplaylist)
Summary: Sci-fi AU in which Blaine Anderson wanders the halls of Dalton Academy, a safe haven created by his father after the events surrounding the Sadie Hawkins dance. Populated by student-machines, Dalton is an orderly place where everyone does exactly what Blaine wants … until Kurt Hummel (an actual real boy!) sneaks in to spy on the Warblers—which changes everything. Part gothic fairy tale and part sci-fi adventure, this is a story about adapting and surviving—and breaking free of the cage.
Drawn for the Blaine Big Bang! (Needless to say it’s a delightful work with multiple levels of thinky-thoughts in regards to both Kurt and Blaine and Dalton itself. And robots. The whole piece deftly weaves canon meta with science fiction and fantasy, combined with my favorite literary move of personal/quiet moments contrasted with the absurd. It was a privilege to work with sothinky on this project and I hope you all go read and review and enjoy!)

Hi, I was wondering if you know any multi chapter asexual or demisexual klaine fanfiction? I've already read two on ao3 I thought maybe you know more! Thanks
Ace of Diamonds, King of Hearts by BlainelovesKurt
Blaine Anderson knew his wasn’t normal when he was 11. It took him a little while to realize how different that was. Kurt Hummel was never what anyone expected. With Blaine, Kurt would learn even more about why that was. *Finn Hudson is a somewhat common character later in the fic
Note: Part 1 of Ace and his King series
These two are one shots:
Identity by BlainelovesKurt
Summary: Kurt makes a realization about himself after a fight with Adam. Jerk/‘nice guy’!Adam. Klaine.
~~~~~
Revelation by smilexdarling
Tumblr is actually a pretty great place to learn more about yourself. This is Kurt’s experience with that.
~~~~~
I also found 8 demisexual!Kurt on AO3, one demisexual!Blaine one shot, and 12 asexual fics. Enjoy!  ~Lynne

I realised recently that I feel weird if i type too much dialogue without any narration, perhaps because I don't see it often. How should one break up a long monologue in a case like this, where one character has a lot to say?
Breaking Up Character Monologue
Stories need to have a relative balance of exposition (explaining things), dialogue (characters talking), and action (things happening.)
To break up a long character monologue, you can do the following:
-- have character pause periodically as other characters interrupt, ask questions or provide input.
-- have character pause periodically to allow for exposition in the way of mentally exploring their thoughts and feelings about what they're saying, and processing/exploring other character reactions/visual cues that clue the character in about what they are thinking/feeling about what they're saying.
-- pauses to allow for environmental interruptions. For example, let's say your character is delivering a motivational monologue ahead of a big battle. Perhaps there is a pause as another infantry parades past, or during the test fire of a cannon or trebuchet. Or, maybe your character is delivering a monologue on a busy street corner and has to pause every time a loud motorcycle, heavy truck, or car blasting music drives by.
-- pauses to physically engage with the environment and/or other characters. For example, maybe your character pauses in their monologue to inspect their horse and make sure their gear is all set. Maybe they stop to examine the map table and move a few pieces around to illustrate a point. Or maybe they walk over to a street light that is plastered over with flyers and tear one off to hold up as an example of something that's part of their monologue.
Using a combination of these methods help to break up the monologue and also help keep the reader rooted in the setting, as well as remind the reader of the other characters present.
Happy writing!

Could you maybe write some prompts for portraying an unreliable narrator?
How to Write an Unreliable Narrator
-> 8 Tips to Writing Unreliable Narrators - Writer's Digest
make them a liar. Have them commit their faults outright, contradict themselves in the narrative, prove them to be a liar by their actions, have them hint that they know more than they're telling, reveal the truth a little later than they should, or have gaps in their memory.
shift their motives. Give your character conflicting desires and changing drives. Keep your reader guessing about their true mindset. (Are they in love with Character B? Or are they obsessed with Character B? Do they want to help B, or do they want to harm B?)
make them more clever than they appear. Have your reader believe your character is innocent and incapable of cunning and calculating schemes. Maybe they appear innocent and naive to the reader, and only later it is revealed that their childish actions have purpose.
use your secondary characters. Have them catch your narrator in lie, reveal that they are a victim of your narrator's lie, reveal a truth that the narrator has yet to share with the reader. How they treat the narrator can also show their unreliability. Sharing personal histories with the narrator may expose a side to the narrator that the reader hasn't seen.
add an unpredictable act. When a calm, thoughtful, innocent character suddenly does something out of character and a little unhinged, they become unreliable. (ex: a grieving woman suddenly throws all of her husband's belongings in the lake.)
4 Types of Unreliable Narrators:
-> What Is an Unreliable Narrator? - MasterClass
Picaro. The picaro is a character who has a knack for exaggerating.
Madman. The madman is unreliable because they are mentally detached from reality.
Naif. The naif’s narrative abilities are impacted by inexperience or age.
Liar. The liar is the most deliberate of all the unreliable narrators. The character fabricates stories, often to paint a better picture of themselves or achieve a desired outcome.

What habits does your character have?

Summarize your character's goals in one sentence.
Who's in the way of those goals?
What is your character's relationship with their emotions?

If your character is at a loud, people-filled party, how would they act?
From childhood to their current age, how has your character changed?

What are the things that make your character enter a full rage/cold mode? (Depends on their character.)
What does your character want to change about themselves?

What kind of clothes does your character wear?
What is one thing that your character dislikes/wants to change about themselves? ("Nothing" is also a valid answer.)
What does your character see as the greatest injustice?

On a scale from 1-10, how intelligent is your character? (1 being incredibly stupid with almost no knowledge of the world, and 10 literally being Light Yagami. If you don't get it, that's on you lol; but it's basically having over 200 IQ.)
Does your character specialize or have remarkable talent in anything? If so, what is it?
In a group setting, what role would your character have? Leader, co-leader, follower, or outsider?
What event in your story altered your character the most?
In the end, what is your character grateful for?
Why did you choose to use this character to answer these questions?
Happy writing~

Alex moves to stand over him, looking down at that soft pink mouth. He feels himself standing at a very tall, very dangerous precipice, with no intention of backing away.

Fic: Just Between Us, Do You Remember It?
Tumblr media
He sat alone at a table in a quaint, little coffee shop in the city. He chose this shop, because he knew that it was never particularly crowded. He was going to need every ounce of privacy that he could get.
He was well over halfway through his first cup of coffee when a voice requested his attention — a voice that he was all too familiar with.
“Y’know, I’m honestly surprised you were willing to meet with me.”
Kurt turned, taking in a figure that he had not seen organically in just over three years. Even then, something about looking at the older man made his heart skip in ways that he did not want to think about.
